How to germinate mango seeds | When to transplant mango seed into soil

#Germinatingmangoseeds from a store bought mango is not difficult. I used the ziplock method for 5 of my seeds and I put 2 other seeds directly in soil because they had already sprouted while still inside the fruit. I used regular container soil when transplanting my seeds. And I reused empty yogurt containers as my pots for this project.

Germinating mango 🥭 seeds has been very easy for me, especially at this time of year. Have you had success in growing your own mango tree from seed? Let me know 👇🏼

Hi, which variety of mango were these seeds from? I grew a few mangos very successfully in summer from the pit straight into soil, full sun, watered daily. Thanks for the video!

Farm Life with Kids thanks for your response, I’m from Sydney Australia. I’m saying good bye to all my fruit trees new growth as we are in Autumn now, although I had brought 2 mango fruits Brooks variety a couple of weeks ago and planted the seeds last night in a pot of soil as the seeds were already generated and have roots now with paper towel method for 2 weeks, hopefully they survive the winter.

How do they come out already green and split? Most of them for me just look soggy and doesn’t turn green.

Lay it flat the sprouts will naturally fix themselves. Actually most trees can be flipped and their branches will turn to roots and their roots turn to branches. They figure things out

Welcome & Thank you for watching! In shot glasses huh... nice! I’ve tried to grow them in water but soil provides more nutrients and they seem to grow quicker. In just a few days there’s significant growth. I can’t wait to upload the update. Don’t forget to subscribe if you haven’t already 👍🏼. 😀

Hello and thanks for watching! I took the brown coat off mine. But you can leave it on if you’d like. Either way it will grow. What growing zone are u in if I’m the USA. Also, thank you for watching, I hope you consider subscribing 😊
@Mommycott

It molds more easily if the brown part remains. If you got yours started without mold, you’re fine.

Hello, is there an update on the 5 seedlings? I live in Southern California, Zone 10a. I think I waited a bit to long germinating my two Probably embryonic seedlings. One looks like spiders. Is it too late to plant in soil?

Why when I cover my plant it always grow mold on the sand
@FarmLifewithKids
@FarmLifewithKids 3 года назад
Sometimes it’s because we fail to rinse off all the mango residue off the seed. As you saw on the video, it happened to me too. And now, as I film the update video for you guys, I got one of the seeds grow mold while already transplanted into the soil. So it’s just a matter of clean seeds and good enough holes on the plastic wrap for air circulation. 🙂 By the way, the mangos really took off and are so big in just two weeks from filming this video. I can’t wait to show you all. 🤗 Thanks so much for watching and I hope you consider subscribing 😄

@@FarmLifewithKids he ir she was so eager to help you!!! I guess you don't understand the joy this kid could have helping you to do something. @@juancardenas4368 oh yes he loves to help, and he is always so gentle with the plants too. And I absolutely understand the joy a child can get from being allowed to help, I have six little ones😁. I was a little afraid with these seeds because they are so fragile at this stage😅. But he definitely helps out every chance he gets😉

@@FarmLifewithKids That is exactly my point. Wish you would have allowed that. U can sprout a million more seeds, BUT THOSE MOMENTS U LOST WITH HIM, WILL NEVER EVER come back I felt so bad seeing his tiny palms stretching out for u to place a sprout in them. It was so heart wrenching I just want to say that u r too caught up in urself, and how U want things to b, even if it involves Ur children. PLEASE TRY TO LEARN FROM UR CHILD, HE LOVES PLANTS MORE THAN U N U can learn tonnes from him. U can maybe suggest a few things...but don't try to teach Ur child or control him. U know nothing compared to him. U r paranoid n controlling n not relaxed. He is Pure n innocent still. DON'T EVER MAKE THE MISTAKE OF TRYING TO TEACH HIM ANYTHING N TURNING HIM INTO U. MOST PARENTS R TERRIBLE EXAMPLES. LEARN from him. Let him explore. Just because u came on this Earth a few years ago, doesn't mean u love it more. He still has hope to grow wild n innocent n pure n learn from his own mistakes. Don't alter his brain for the worse.
