One thing that would be helpful for the general public to understand here as well is that layback isn’t just true shoulder external rotation. It also has a lot to do with T-Spine extension and Posterior tilting of the scapula as well.
I’m sure you’ve watched Nolan Ryan. Something I noticed about him that my son did naturally when he was younger was the hump in his shoulders tilting him forward. Everyone says chest up and the out but Nolan didn’t necessarily do that and he threw hard. Back when speed measurement wasn’t as accurate. What are your thoughts on that? Am I completely off? I’ve asked others and never get a response back. He did it a lot with the rangers. Almost hiding his head with his chin down into the leg lift.
