Thank you so much for this video! I didn't want to try these halogen headlamps for the longest time on my HID version but seeing it's compatible is amazingly reaffirming. Furthermore knowing that I can change the H11 bulb to a low profile LED of my choice sold me.
I've had these, nice but cheap looking when the lights are on also i had water intrusion. Switched to Vlands soon after purchasing are more premium looking. Yes they cost a bit more....but you gotta pay to play. You do need Toyota techstream to deactivate DRL (Vlands DRL are independently wired), and pull the AFS fuse. So far ive had them for over a year in hot, humid hawaii. No problems so far.
Your drl led strip is still not working properly. It’s suppose to be lit up in the daytime by itself without the headlights being on. Did you figure how to fix that part

I'm looking to buy these and I think it is a good time to ask if all your LEDs on the strip are still functioning since it has been more than 2 years for your installation?

Very informing video. Gotta say did you had to take the headlight and ship it back to the seller to replace the LED of the DRL. Also I got halogen bulbs on mine but how big of a fuse did you go?
The seller sent me a new headlight first and once I installed that one I shipped the broken one back to them. I actually ended up going with a LED bulb and never upgraded the fuse.
@@romagrigorenko thanks for the fast response. How did you get the LED to fit in that small housing? I heard some dont fit and can leak moisture if the cover is not there. Mind if you send me a link of the bulbs you used? I'd go that route but I turned away due to that reason.
Hi there, i have IS 250 europe version from Ireland, are they gonna fit without any issue? what about AFS does it light up or you need to take fuse out? my one have just regular bulb, not even xenon one - is that gonna be ok and just plug & play or you need change voltage, reprogram main computer etc? thx.
Romanenko Garage hey buddy! Great info! I’ve just bought an 08 2is lux sport that had the xenons, but with a same set already installed. They look good but I’m skeptic bout the beam pattern. They weren’t adjusted obviously. But I’m curious, what route have you went for bulbs. Low’s or highs? I was thinking of buying a set of auxbeams for there built in drivers. Since these are capped. Any input is appreciated! 👊 salute bro
Wish they make a white or silver version, the black look terrible. This is why I never even bother with the aftermarket one. It make your car look cheap, aftermarket, and none oem.
Joe Black most LED bulbs have huge heat sinks and they don’t fit inside this headlight. Also LED technology is nice but the power output isn’t as strong as a 55w HID despite what some manufacturers claim. There are detailed tests on this you can see on RU-vid. That said, I still went LED at the end when I found one that would fit.
Hey uh!! What did you do with the old headlights? Send’em to me. I don’t really care about the check led mark. I had a 12 IS250 that the wife totaled but she wrecked our 08 model first I still have it. You know the ones with the recall on the runner melting dash and recalls on the airbag. just need factory headlight the 08 we have light are good but the molded brackets mounts are broken. And you can’t even get a good dell on those headlights, hood , fenders and bumper from a salvage yard. They want a good US mint... If you hadn’t sold them let me know what you want for them...

So id recommend upgrading the fuses for them or finding an LED kit where the heat sink is small enough to fit into the headlight. If all else fails, you can always just upgrade with some good halogen bulbs. LED kit I ended up using: amzn.to/2PDgaCd Also, one of my nike led dots went went bad but the seller replaced it with the warranty.

Hi. I've purchased the same headlights from "DEPO" on amazon (actually I did that after watching this video, and they actually fit perfect, look great e.t.c. I'm very grateful for this honest review). But I have a problem with the nike style DRL. They work only when the low/high beams are on. Other time the high beams bulb is on like half strenght (like thats the real DRL). In your video on 11:24 we can actually see that only the nike-style lights are on. So is there any secret of activating that mode or smth? Please help.
Thanks for the video, Roman. I currently use LED bulbs in my 2006 Lexus and they work fine, so I assume it would be a more straightforward installation for me. Regarding those daylight running lights, if one of those LEDs died, does that mean you have to buy a new headlight?
Hey bro are the 2011-2013 headlights exactly the same with the drl strip n housing ? Cause I see some that don’t have the turn signal in between the projector and high beam reflector
petersu33 hey Peter, so the actual LED stripe works when your headlights are on at night (in auto) but during the day only the highbeams work as DRLs (in auto) To get the LED stipe to turn on during the day, you need to switch the headlamp stalk to the 1st position, the one that is like just a circle icon. Not sure what it’s called exactly.

David Seriphayrath depends which HID kit you get. But if you get a good 55w kit, I’d say the light output is just as good if not better. However you do lose AFS
I’m completely stuck! I need to get new headlights for my 10 is250 but I have factory HID headlights. Can I just buy any headlight that says it fits my car but not compatible with factory HID headlights? (Does that make sense?) If I do buy them would I have to change my HID to LED? Thanks

Hello, most of the IS250s here in the states come with HID headlamps. Im not sure about your country though. Im honestly not sure how to tell from the VIN. Just have to see the car. You can probably call a Lexus dealer and they can look it up by Vin.

Romanenko Garage thanks for taking the time to answer even dough you sell ur car. That’s what am leaning towards just get good quality led bulbs. When you said the fuse went out you mean the a fuse inside the light or a fuse in the car.
Luis Reyes it was a fuse in the fuse box under the hood. It was when I had HIDs in. And then I switched to LEDs, which barely fit in there. If I had to do it again I’d honestly probably just get some nice strong halogen lights and save myself all that trouble.

I have factory hid and i sanded them but there’s damage on the inside. i’m gonna tint the lense to make it less noticeable and if it fails i’ll get these. thanks for taking the time to make the video
juan cusi haha no problem. Ive actually had a one of the led bulbs go out on the nike strip. But Im handling it with the seller so hopefully theyll send me a replacement. Other than that, I love how they look and it was a cheap price anyways. Especially after I sold my old lights lol
brian Truong I just fiddled with them until they went it. Mine actually just blew the fuse recently too. So I’d recommend going with LED or upgrading the fuse.
