This is really cool of you to try and show us new things in Pakistan, India, and other countries. It makes us appreciate more of everyone’s culture and break the stereotypes. **Prayers go to everyone affected by the severe flooding in Pakistan.
Find another barber! Both my local ones are originally from Pakistan and its £5 for a full shave. They both do it exactly the same as the video and despite me trying I have never managed to shave myself as well as they do it and they use a single blade. One of them moved here when he was about 18 and started in a local shop before opening his own. He used to watch his grandfather giving shaves in Kashmir, from as early as he can remember he would be in the shop all day and sweep up, before starting his barbering trade when he was about 11. He works all hours and I rarely see his shop empty.
@@aprilcox871 It's still a scam. It's funny how "high end" makes people think it's worth that price. It's not any different than the scammers in india, just seems different because cleaner.
Because he is tourist but look in Hindu Christianitan minorities they killed every day by the name of blampeshy so you don't judge Pakistan on the basis of tourist vlog and second talk I'm from India so IAM good know
@@peace5512 If you are Indian Hindu, you should go to Pakistan for a few days and see how people treat you. Only then can you talk about what Pakistanis are like. I think it is a reasonable request. What do you think?
Love and respect for thesePakistani shopkeepers, they are not so rich but they have a diamond heart, they treat every foreigner as their guest. Hardly seen that they have taken money from foreigners. It is a shame that our western media portrays Pakistan very negatively.
Awesome that you tipped the barber. They work so hard, yet barely get any tips from anyone. Hard times I Pakistan for the local workers, especially with rising inflation.
I would have never watched you getting a haircut in a regular hair salon, but I loved to watch how a street barber cut your hair and gave you a shave with the razor. Also the interaction with the people. Very interesting.
Love it, street haircuts. I think the default style looks great! he is so focused on his task, I'm almost suprised that you're the one to make the small talk this time! seriously the cut looks fantastic he did a great job
i always emotional to see kindness peoples of Pakistan not taking money from foreigners. the barber done a good job that any shop can do that with high price. keep exploring rock. cheers
These are the real citizens of a great country . Thank you so much Karl for giving your time to the local big hearted people. These local hard working people who are working so hard to put a honest living on their tables. Not cheating Their hospitality and h❤rt is no1 in the world.
I’m in love with your video. Even though I’m from Saudi Arabia where they’re millions of foreigners, I don’t have deeper understanding of Pakistani or Indian culture. Your videos are breaking to many barriers. Also I love how Pakistani people are welcoming and generous. I’ve seen it in too many videos. Pakistani are the best. Salam from Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦🌹🌹
You mean "Pakistani". Right? 🙃😃Not that I have any doubt about the generosity of Palestine but I just assumed it was a typo here as the video is about Pakistan.
I am 27 from Islamabad, very busy in 8 to 5, but your videos about Pakistan was really eye opener for me even its my own country, simply thanks to you for visiting our beautiful country... SB
That barber is definitely talented. Karl You looked amazing after the haircut. And to think no fancy equipment. Just a scissors comb and straight razor. WOW. I'll definitely try this if I'm blessed to one day visit India. One love from beautiful Trinidad and Tobago ❤ 🇹🇹.
Hi Karl. I don’t let U.K. hairdressers mess with my hair lol. I love how everyone is willing to chat with you. And it’s a little sad that I see so many of the people you talk to are bowled over & delighted that you speak Hindi. It says a lot about what they expect from us tourists!!
Well, we can visit a lot of countries and it's kind of impossible to learn that many languages as well as Karl does in a short amount of time. However, if you stay for a long time then yes you absolutely need to learn that language, otherwise you'll never integrate.
The barber has done a great job, i think he tried to gives his best shot to the welcome Karl to pakisthan and his homeland shop. Hope you have tipped him generously 👍🏻 Love from India ❤️
Karl, When i was in India in 2001, in the last couple of days of our stay in Dehli we went down to old Dehli and had a shave and a head massage what an experience.
Always love your content Karl. I also love how you were able to finally able to make it back into your county. You and your dear wife are amazing people.
Brilliant to see another side to Karl's travels, gives us an amazing insight into places that aren't seen so much being from the UK , looking forward to seeing more
Thanks Karl, I enjoy watching your videos and it's especially valuable to see everyday life. Thank you for sharing your experiences! I started studying Hindi.
Fantastic; I really enjoy watching you asking services from these very simple people; They do their jobs with much more human warm than any pasteurized clerk on a modern mall. Keep posting, hugs from Brazil thanks
So now you turned in urdu from hndi that’s clever. And your wife too speaks Urdu, love the struggle you are doing to bring your life back on track. Best wishes
Karl thanks for your Videos, ive got an indian Brother from Punjab and we both going to travel india to see our family, i hope we can meet you Sometime 🥰 Greetings to your beloved Family i hope you all are going to stay healthy and Happy ❤️ Keep on going Love your Videos 👍👍👍
Hey Karl, you were in Canal Park, Main Market Gulberg area. I love to see that area after long long time. I am from there living is USA now. I wish I could’ve been there to take you to my place. You were standing right in front of my sister’s house. There are so many famous food places right around you in that area. Anyways, enjoy Lahori vibes!
@@KarlRock yeah, there are so many guest houses in that area too. Well it’s nice to have a reply back from you. Say hello to Bhabhi and her family! Are you in US or Pakistan??
@@KarlRock that’s even better. I am happy for you! I’ve lots of Indian friends here in NC. Last year I tried to seek information regarding visiting India as an American but it didn’t worked (maybe soon). Anyways, namastay and ssa to all of your family.
@6:22 Tip, carry a small leather bag with a cooler bag brick inside to keep electronics cool. If it melts buy a cold can of drink in emergencies. 💪😜👍Leather keeps the heat out best, especially if it's padded inside.
Not sure if it's because of the camera, but from your videos I have this impression that nothing happens in Pakistan or India without four or five guys standing around watching it
whenever south asian see any whites ,there would be a crowd of people...and also some will try to click selfie with u as u are a celebrity or let say alien for them
I don't know why i find your videos all so interesting, especially since I don't plan on visiting India, just watching you get your hair cut and i still feel fascinated over such a simple thing, haha.
With how things are going southwards in the world currently, i won't be surprised if we soon all get our hair cut by street barbers, too, over here in the so-called civilized western world. Really enjoying your channel, Karl 👍
@@hayleyxyz well let me break it down for you: Things are rapidly going downhill in most countries. That's a fact. Not condescending. Many businesses (barbers included) close shop. Nothing condescending about that. Our "so called" civilized western world. If anything, this is condescending regarding OUR (including mine) western Hubris.
@@-Medici What's condecending is implying our so-called "western civilisation" is somehow above central asian countries, and implying getting a haircut outside is somehow a bad thing? Western countries are going downhill, mostly due to the fact we're at late-stage capitalism. Though most people on the far-right attribute it to the great replacement conspiracy. If you want to comment on your own country, or "the west" in general, maybe don't involve countries that have nothing to do with it, yeah? They are countries with rich cultures, and you using them as a low-water mark is just cringe
My youngest daughter and I like watching your videos. I was in the Marines and to watch your videos, for me, a bit cringy at times but your content is always positive and I really enjoy watching!! Stay safe!
reminded me of an old dude who used to cut my hair and shave me every time i went on leave i would visit him, I remmeber the first time he used a cut throat on me he advise "now do not be moving i wouldnt want to slip" once he had finished he cute a lime in half squeezed it and patted my face, very refreshing lol. So many memories and one of the best haircuts/shaves i ever had
I love hearing you speak Urdu… I’m learning Hindi and it sounds the same …? I’ve heard they are the same language, just with different writing systems. Is this true or are their differences? I’d love to hear more about the languages of India and Pakistan. Thanks as always - love your posts
Yes. Although urdu has persian mixed, while hindi has sanskrit words. Also, writing systems are different. A hindi speaker and urdu speaker can clearly understand each other.
@@kareemnishkor9728 Hindi-Urdu is an Indo-Aryan language and the lingua franca of North India and Pakistan. It is also known as Hindi, Urdu, and Hindustani. The colloquial Hindi and Urdu are all but indistinguishable, and even the official standards are nearly identical in grammar, though they differ in literary conventions and in academic and technical vocabulary, with Urdu retaining stronger Persian, Central Asian and Arabic influences, and Hindi relying more heavily on Sanskrit. Before the Partition of British India, the terms Hindustani, Urdu and Hindi were synonymous; all covered what would be called Urdu and Hindi today.
Hey Karl. You look different. It is very rare that I find a barber that will give me straight edge here in the US. There in Pakistan you can get it on the street.
Hi Karl, looking good man 👌. After my first trip to India was postponed in February due to covid restrictions, we have now got the confirmation that its going ahead in November. Travel visas applied for. I'm so excited. Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, Mumbai, Cochin, Kerala backwaters, Munnar here we come 😁👍🏻. Thank you for your inspiration 😊
I'm free India the best thing I noticed ever in most of Pakistan local hotels and restaurants they are not taking money from outsiders whatever they belongs to Europe or India. For this Salute to you Guys.
