I love anything with a wire considering im a lineworker ..lol. It seems the camera needs an 8 gauge wire also its glitching like crazy and its not you jimmy your a great camera man

Hay my brother was jumping up and down the sound was great and sometimes the video disappeared for a few seconds but hearing Jamie voice was great. Jamie does a great job you should do a U Tube Channel for jamie just a thought well my brother God Bless you R Guzman

I have this fish finder on my boston whaler and have no idea how to find anything under water on live scope i didn't even know how to update it. But the gps with the lake maps is awesome on lake Erie. I changed the background on the fish finder to blue makes it easier to see.

Once the transducer is off the trolling motor it should take care of the problem!!!! The trolling motor will give a lot of interference

So did you add another 12v deep cycle lead acid battery dedicated to livescope? I don't have room for that. I have been using a smaller dedicated lithium for my panoptics and it seems to do fine. Lasts 8 hrs or more.

How are you preventing interference and polarization between your trolling motor wires and your graphs?

I use the magnetic clips from RiteHite to fasten the wires from the transducer, David. That pretty much knocks it all down. I also have a separate 8 gauge wire from my battery to my Live Scope. Thanks. May God Bless. jimmy

My battery is sitting next to me and my black box. On my kayak so i can hook up to it. Would u recommend a dewalt on a kayak fishing for about 4 hours

Probably need the bigger dewalt. These smaller ones only lasted 45 minutes Might just use a small ATV or Lawn Mower battery from O’Reilly in your Kayak. God Bless! jimmy

Dad did wax the boat, and helped!!! A Bit!!! I think we sell that wire for just Under $2 a foot, so about a hundred dolllars with of wire in my Ranger. Just a few bucks for the other stuff. Thanks. God Bless! jimmy

To try to clear up the screen. Helped a tiny bit , but not much. Plus they only lasted 45 minutes. If it had worked, I would have gone to bigger dewalt batteries. Thanks. Godspeed! jimmy

He’s learned in the job. He has ran our Tracker, Mercury, Kawasaki dealership for years. He can pretty much fix anything. We have always called him Inspector Gadget!!! Lol. Thanks. May God Bless! jimmy

If you want 8 gauge wire when you order your Ranger for electronics they’ll do it. How do they know if your going to run 1,2,3 units on the bow or console unless you tell them.

15:50 what the heck is he talking about? The Livescope LVS32 transducer is exactly the same as what you have. They have not changed a thing hardware wise. It still has two wires and they’ve always advised against zip ties. The older LVS12 which is still sold as an economical option does use a single wire. I’m guessing that’s what he installed. Zip ties can still pinch the cable and cause damage whether it’s single or double. Also - Garmin has caused a lot of issues with their updates. Last I looked, you’re still better off sticking with the pre perspective mode software version which is 2.20 on the GLS10. Their ghost tree fix isn’t a good fix.

That single wire is much larger from what I’m told. That why they say zip ties are ok. Everyone I know still uses tape!! The ghost tree button does create a little hole in your screen where the tree was. I’m not too fond of that blank space. We’ve pretty much solved the interference problem. Obviously we’ve caught a lot of 10 pound plus bass with the interference the last two years, but I think it will still help now that we’ve gotten rid of most of it. Thanks. May God Bless! jimmy

@@TwinEagleRanch - Tapes always the best option. Too much risk for over tightening and those cables cannot be repaired. For single wires like from my mega transducer mounted on the bottom of my TM, I use these cable “clamps” made for bicycle cables. Flexroute Universal Cable Guides. They’re rubber cable guides that fit the thicker mega cable perfectly and then use a special zip tie that clamps around the clamp but under the cable. They keep the transducer cable a little higher off the shaft but I’ve have zero issues with weed buildup. Maybe one day they’ll get this issue fixed permanently. I’d love to try perspective mode but I just can’t sacrifice the image quality for a mode I won’t use often.

@@TwinEagleRanch - Hate to disagree with ya Jimmy but it really doesn’t. Thicker wire isn’t going to stop interference. Wire gauge isn’t going to effect interference at all. Having the LS mounted on the trolling motor is a common source of interference though many have had success. Yours looks way too close to the motor and whatever is strapped to the top. It also looks like you have the transducer cable/s running down the Ultrex control/power cable and through the jacket. That’s a big no no. Never mix signal and power cables. If they must meet, they should always be perpendicular. Never ran parallel. 10-12 gauge wire is plenty for a direct run from the battery to bow. That will ensure proper power to the unit and then some. Livescope uses up to 5amps and averages about 2amps. A 20’ run of 10g wire can handle about 12amps. 8g of the same length can handle around 50amps. So yeah, it’s way overkill. I use 10g on mine and have it mounted on a bracket/pole on the Ultrex main housing but about 6” away from the shaft. Zero interference.

Hey Jimmy I have a question for you did you not like the Dewalt system on your live scope cause that’s what Iam running on mine I like cause it puts 18volt and gives you a better picture was just asking buddy
