Another great vid. Your videos have come a long way from the basic blackboard and marker vids (those were great too) but the beard has been glorious since day 1.
Great explanation!!! I think I should ditch the pec deck and use cables as I get more range of motion!!! Love the details u put into these little videos!!!👊
Great video joe, do you think the half roller would work well in a smith incline press for the same reasons as the flye? Or is this movement less safe with the roller? Thanks :)
Can you please do a video on hand placement for barbell movements and ROM when the athlete has really long arms but is very skinny leading to a huge ROM. Should that athlete still touch the bar to chest or only go to 90°. Thank you
Probably good to do both to some degree - at the end of a workout I like to do some kind of cluster set, higher rep sets, or dropsets to get as much blood into the muscle as possible after my heavier work which doesn't always achieve this. For example, for chest I'll do a few heavy pressing movements for a few sets each and the last set will be a back off set with higher reps to get a good pump, and then I'll finish with some kind of flye cluster set where I go back and forth left arm 10 reps, right arm 10 reps until I can't manage any more. That way I'm reaching towards higher volumes but not too far, and have already got plenty of strength work also. Also, you could split up your volume into 2 sessions per week too, doing 8-10 working sets per session.
@@JustArtsCreations I'm using it as a "chest exercise" even though technically it's not a more isolated movement like flies. I get a wicked pump from them and they activate my chest better than pretty much everything but flies, just curious if the abduction in pushups will suffice or should I bite the bullet and do flies anyway.
Guess it depends on what you expect out of the push ups as an alternative. They are a fine exercise. I’d want to figure out how to fly properly/pain free if it were me
@@overlord6815 have you tried doing stretches and exercises to help shoulder mobility? my labrum is torn and other shoulder is wonky but I found doing those things helped a lot
@@jared2lit I admit I haven't, mainly because my shoulders are pretty mobile. Dips, overhead press, behind the neck press, etc. None of them bother my shoulders but flies do. But I guess stretching is something to try before I rule them out completely.
Sir, thankyou for your tips. I really appreciate it. Sir, can you tell me how to bring up my upper and lower chest??. I am doing smith machine incline presses but its bit lagging compare to my mid chest. Need your advice thank you❤️
i've been doing cable flies with only my ass and lower back supported, by standing up on the bench instead of sitting on it. i found that made opening up way easier and it didn't hurt my shoulders like it did when my scapula were sorta pinned against the bench.
That intro reminds me of sci-fi. Seems like I get the ''sci'' of muscle hypertrophy....and ''fi'' of communication fidelity. (ok ok that was a lousy attempt, I accept :p but vids are good come on)
