I don't - how am I supposed to bring a hair tie NOT on my wrist? How else does one bring a hair tie? Most confusing instructions ever. (I'm half joking... but only half.)
Some of these tips goes for musical/drama/theatre things too, When I do an audition I always look at the sound box or just below (straight ahead and slightly crane your neck)
@@sophiak.0106 No she didn't, she just said not to put it on your wrist, she didn't say not to bring one. iirc she actually said to put it in your bag.
So when I was in highschool I did the barbizon school. And I got invited to go on a cruise with agencies and such. When I was auditioning for it, they had as all make a product up, and try to do a little commercial for it. They loved me. I made a unicorn facial cream. I was so excited when I got the call to go. But couldn't afford it lol
It's all confidence and I confirmed that in my head, I don't have the perfect features but just have some confidence and nail it, it's really like that
I personally love to crack a good joke lol or show my more rough side. They remember you if your negativities are more like a positivity. Like when i was practicing i used to get told that they loved my nervous giggle so much but that i needed to figure out a better way to channel my anxiety that didn't cause me to, for instance, break my posture or raise my shoulders.
Modeling is something I’ve definitely thought abt (and everyone tells me I’m photogenic and have the facial structure) but I do have a few questions. 1) I have VERY vibrantly dyed hair, anyone know if that’s okay? 2) I’m young and trans ftm how would that work? Like would I have to wear dresses or something because if so I’m out. I have a pretty feminine face and I’m pre everything soooo that probably doesn’t help. 3) Similar to the last question is it possible to be an androgynous model? Like gender neutral clothes and such. Thx!!!
So.. If you became a model then you don't choose any of these. Your agency chooses your appearence such as your hair color. Also you can be trans of course but they would put you in category based on how you look, so if you are feminine then you will be in female category. Then if you get a job (like photoshoot) the designer will choose what you will be wearing during the shoot. Also there is androgynous/nonbinary category Hope that answers some of your doubt :)
Fashion and editorial modeling would not be ideal for you, they typically don't want vibrant colored hair unless it's red and one solid tone. Also you have to wear whatever they want you to, you have limited input in those decisions
I'm 5"2 but apparently have the face to be a model (according to random people on the street and my friends). Is there any type of modelling I can do with my height?
I'm remembering how Shalom Harlow would swing her arms and how it was super iconic and that was one of my favorite things to do when I was mimicking a model's walk. Guess if us regular folk did that at a casting they'd be like GTFO 😭
You can get lots of money but it’s highly competitive. Doing modelling as a side hustle would be almost impossible because you never know when you could be called by an agent.
Most models don't make a lot of money and will never become rich. The top fashion models you see on TV are the 1% of the 1%, they can make over ten million a year. Most professional models might make 45-50 or 60 thousand a year. Many models make 20-30 thousand and are at the low end of the industry. Modeling is an unregulated industry, with no standards for pay and no unions. Many "Modeling Agencies" are scams, and others make you pay them!
I’m a little over 5’7, black and a bit overweight I don’t know but I really like modeling and want to try I have started working out. But any tips from models here?
Me a pesron with social anxiety, hates people looking at me, flashing lights and can't look people in the eyes most of the time: ah yesh i will note this for the future 📒✍🏻😂
I tried once, my friend was trying to become a designer, and she asked me to model her stuff for her. When I did my walk, I was told I bent my knees too much. How in the heck am I supposed to walk without bending my knees XD
Oh let me qualify your last statement. You want to do something to remember you, but in a good and positive way. I felt you needed to make that distinction. It should be common scene, but that has been lacking by many recently.
Y'know, I really DONT wanna be a model. Can you make a list of all the things to make me less likely to be scouted? Yeah, I know I can just say no, but I'm also curious
I think I'm way too short and too fat to be a model, to clarify I am 4'9 and weigh 91 lbs. My dream has always been to become a model but my mom doesn't want to sign me up for a nearby casting because I have recently recovered from anorexia and she is afraid that I will relapse from all the pressure.😢
It sucks because I’m 5 3. My friend (whose 5 6) and I were at a store together and a fucking modeling agent person came up to her, WHILE I WAS NEXT TO HER, and said she was pretty and asked how old she was 💀
