Here are some tips that might help you be able to buy a Rolex watch from an authorised dealer. purchasing a Rolex from an ad isn't east so here are some tips that might help you get that dream watch. #rolex #rolexad #luxurywatches
Great straight forward advice. I followed all your guidelines and a few months ago I got the call. I had no purchase history with this store. Another point I think you missed was do monthly IN PERSON follow ups. I never once called or emailed my SA. I'm sure if you're emailing or calling weekly your odds shrink. I think I made 2 more in person visits after my initial visit and I had the watch in just under 6 months. Good luck everyone, play your cards right and you'll be surprised, hopefully!
This is what I call rich people next level. When you have the money but you are not allowed to buy the watch. I'm very against inflating your own watches for your own profit. If I have the money and Rolex does not want to sell me a watch sh*****t... F the Daytona I can buy a Zenith El Primero since they used to use the movements for the Daytona. Omega Speedy another option. IWC has more history than the GMT and Air king put together. Grand Seiko are way better build than Rolex. Let's keep it 100% people buy Rolex for the hype and the return on investment. Which is the dumbest thing to do to put your investment money on something you wear and can break. Watches are meant to be enjoyed and pass down, If anyone got a Rolex ENJOY YOUR WATCH wear it and don't look how much is worth in the grey market.
Great advice. Your right. That’s how you have to do it. Cheaper to buy the watch you want at the grey market. Mostly the rich parents ( I’m an AD ) that spend big bucks at the store ( jewelry watches bracelets) send their kids in to buy a Pepsi. We know and we give the kid the Pepsi right away. He will flip it. We know. We also know if we don’t the father won’t shop here again. P
I've bought 5 Rolex watches over the years. All from ADs. I am not playing this bs game. There are better brands out there. Retired from Rolex, on to Vacheron.
I've been on the waiting list for the Datejust 41 for 13 months.... Did not realise I'd have to keep in contact with them or make visits every now & again. Made my second visit with the sales man & seemed like it was in the right direction. Third visit next month to pick up a PRX, as I've been eying it for some time. Hoping that will be the final nudge to get the DJ 41.
They are NOT giving anyone free $$$$. Their watches, some of them, afford you a chance to sell at a higher price than you paid for it. It's the same with anything else, be it cars, clothes, jewelry, furniture, sneakers, or whatever. After all, it is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it.
Well a lot of models are sold at a premium on the grey market. And dealers know this. So selling someone a retail price Daytona is giving that person the ability to gain 8k + on that watch if they flip it.
It’s hard to say but I always feel when they say a long long wait especially for a date just they are fobbing you off. Maybe try another ad. Or look at the price of the model on the grey market you may be surprised how close the price might be. Depending on model
How about maintaining your self respect and telling them to F off and then go to A.Lange and purchase a Datograph? That is what I chose to do. Now the AD would like to sell me a watch. End of the day, a Rolex is garbage. Tons of brands that are way better. Hell, I would take a Glashuette Original, Vacheron, a Kallinich Claeys, Gronefeld and even a Dornbluth over a Rolex. Never kiss someone's to spend YOUR money
