HOW TO GET A SPAIN STUDENT VISA | Applying Through Miami Consulate | Auxiliares de Coversacion

Hi beautiful people!
This video will be alllll about visas. Last year, I was able to successfully receive my Spanish visa for the Auxiliares de Conversacion program in Spain for the 2022-2023 school year.
I applied through the Miami Consulate, and these are the steps I had to follow.
Keep in mind that every consulate is different, and every year the preparation for the documents change. I know this is a stressful time, so I hope this visa checklist and some personal tips I share with you will allow you to have a smooth visa application process.
Documents needed for VISA APPLICATION:
1. Visa Application
2. Passport Photos
3. Original Passport
4. Notarized Copy of Drivers license/US State ID
5. Acceptance Letter by the Regional Education Authorities
6. FBI Background check
(Needs to be APOSTILLED and SWORN TRANSLATED)
(The translation DOES NOT need an Apostille, and the Apostille DOES NOT need a translation).
7. Medical certificate
(SWORN TRANSLATION)
8. Visa fee Money Order

Hey! So this year I applied to NALCAP and because I am in South Carolina I will be using the Miami consulate. I noticed that this year everything needs to be in person and I was wondering if I still need the tracking number on the disclaimer form as part of the visa application? This may be confusing but I was unsure what tracking number I would put there if it's in person the whole process?

Hi! After mailing in your application did the consulate send some sort of confirmation? Did you have to make an appointment to go pick it up? Also thank you for making this video. The whole process has been very stressful and this was so helpful:)

Hi! Nope, nothing. No confirmation AT ALL😭 I just had to anxiously wait for their email with the date and time to go pick it up at the consulate. I only had to wait about 3 weeks tho! I’m so glad this video was helpful 😭🫶🏽

Hi! Unfortunately, I don’t know anything about traveling with children with a student visa😕 But after submitting all my documents, it took three and a half weeks to get my visa!

I only got mine Apostilled, but always check your consulate’s requirements!

hi! were you able to use a digital copy of the FBI background check and then print it out? or did you have to request a physical copy to be mailed to you? also, did you have to get the digital or physical copy apostilled? thank you :)

hii! i was able to use the digital copy of the FBI background check they emailed to me. I printed it out and that’s what I sent to get apostilled and submitted with my application. i hope this helps!

No, you get your NIE once you’re officially in Spain!

Hi!! Great video, it's very informative! I'm also from Miami and I'm applying for one too! I was wondering if you could answer a few questions :)) 1) Did you get the FBI Background check directly from the FBI or with an FBI-Approved Channel? And if you did it directly with the FBI, at what location did you do your fingerprints, and was it through mail or online? 2) How look did it take for you to receive the background check results? 3) Once you received the background check results, did you have to send it back to the FBI for apostille or did they send it all together already?

Hi there! I'm glad you found this video useful! To answer your questions: 1. I got my FBI Background directly from the FBI after getting my fingerprints done at my local USPS. The link to request you FBI background check is directly in the description. Fill out that information and you'll be able to directly choose a branch/location where you can do your fingerprints. 2. It took my approximately 3 days to receive my FBI Background results via email. 3. I had to send in my FBI for apostille through the HAGUE which is also linked in the description. That took about 3 weeks! I hope this helps. All the links to directly get it done you will find in the description. Good luck, you got this!

@Saliha I just got accepted into the same program! I’m in the NJ area but I did stay sometime in the UK back in 2021 and I may need a background check for UK and I am struggling to get info on how to proceed with this. Any advice on how to get a UK background check while living in the US? 😭

Hi lovely! Congratulations🥳 Hmmm, a background check for the UK..🤔 I wouldn’t know exactly how to do that but what I would suggest is finding and joining a facebook group for expats living in UK! Go on there and ask your question and I’m 99% positive somebody will know somebody! That is what I did when I needed to get a background check from Italy!

Hi love! So happy for you🥳 To answer your questions: 1. You can present the medical certificate without it being notarized. As long as it is stamped, signed, and in English AND Spanish, you should be good! 2. For the FBI check, you only need it apostilled!(no notarized copy needed) I hope this helps, good luck!!

I wasn't actually! It may have been because it was 2022 when i applied and restrictions regarding COVID had been loosened.

For the proof economic means do I just show the bank statement to prove I have enough money in my bank account? Or I need to show more stuff?

Hi John! For the proof of economic means, all you need to show is your placement letter! It states how much you make a month and that is your proof for financial means.

@@John-qb2bg Of course! I'm glad I could help. The placement letter should be enough to prove your economic means. I also sent in my saving account to prove that I had enough to cover me for the months of my placement, and they gave it back!

It depends on where you are applying from! It defers by consulate, so make you double check the NALCAP student visa requirements!
