In this video I reveal a new Specialized mountain bike I bought: The 2021 Specialized Rockhopper 27.5. This bike retails for $700 new, and in this video I go over my story of getting one and explain how to search for used bikes online. I also clean the bike and repair most of the damage (cable installation, wheel truing, drivetrain adjustments, and bottom bracket replacement) to make it trail ready for a friend. Hope you enjoy!!

You are an awesome friend to buy and fix up a bike for her. You are correct with your skillset of knowning how to repair bikes it can be beneficial to buy a used bike. That is not the case for me who has no clue how to repair bikes. Nice job....

I’ve upgraded some parts on it so I definitely love the bike, haven’t gotten too much of a chance to ride it though since I’ve been focusing on other videos :( I want to make a ride video on it soon after the roscoe one though!

Hey man! Could you please make a video about the new trek marlin 4/5 gen 2? And also, I needed a little advice, if I were to get a marlin 5, should I get the 2023 one or wait it out a whole year incase they decide to heavily upgrade it for 2024? What’s your opinion about that?

Go for the trek now if they do it won't be much of a change get your self that new bike and enjoy that's a great bike

So far it seems like Trek won’t be updated the marlins this year. Maybe early next year or in winter this year but I don’t know for sure

Thanks for the video! What size Rockhopper frame would you recommend for someone with a 27” inseam? I’m 5’4” and the Specialized website recommends a size small. I’m looking at the 29er. Any feedback is greatly appreciated! Hope your friend enjoys the bike!!

No problem! A size small should be good for your height / inseam, but the best way is to test ride the bike. A smaller bike will be easier to maneuver and control whereas a larger bike will be more stable at speed and while going downhill

That guy definitely used the bike for wheelies only hence the missing front brake system, very low angled seat for a more level seating position when in the wheelie, and also the amount of scuffs
