Very educational. Greatly presented and easy understanded. First time i see a tri-coat with the first coat(base, ground) been a metallic . Everything is getting tougher as years go by. Question - Why should you line THE HEIGHT of the panels that are next to each other when painting in a spraybooth ? I know that they need to be in the same position as mounted on the vehicle , heard that from Brian . But first time i hear that height must be equalized on the paint stands , i guess this is because of the paint booth air flow ? I believe this is NOT necessary if painting in a garage ?

I love watching your channel.. you have helped me improve on a number of things and I appreciate that.. I spray in a similar environment.. we turn 250 plus paint hours a week with one helper and one painter. You should consider UV primer and a UV fastlane 2k. You can increase your capabilities drastically! Not only that but with higher quality because the UV primer is 98 percent solid so there is no shrink up. If you need to prime something and dry it you can do it within minutes and have it in the booth for paint. We have been running this system for about 8 years now and it’s a true production game changer. It would be perfect for your set up! Thanks for your videos man you are a top notch painter for sure

Funny you mention getting paid for raw bumper prep time, me and the other painter at our shop are bringing that up at our next weekly meeting. Also gonna try and get paid for taping bumpers that have the textured lowers. (Subarus, Nissan)

Great video and killer work. Very impressed on the work you do to get a perfect color match, especially on the 3 stage. Btw, as an airbrush artist and custom painter, I got rid of the 3m fine line tape years ago and use only FBS tape. Much better quality at a lower price.

You never do a poor video. I love the tip of keeping a section on the spray out for primer. Was that the recommended undercoat shade or one you like from experience? Do you see any issues with using basecoat as a sealer if its activated? Have a great weekend! Apparently, the Kandyman likes candy too.

Loving the video Kandy. Please could you explain how you don't struggle with overspray on different parts in the booth. I assume you may have discussed this before but just wondering how flakes or metallics etc don't contaminate other panels within the booth. Thanks Kandy

Honestly it’s faster just to pick the closest variant and blend all adjacent panels.
