Switzerland is one of the most expensive countries to live in
@dcartier1692

- because most people actually earn a living wage. Minimum wage is generally above CHF25(usd$28)/hour - this means that any product that has been touched by a Swiss will be more expensive than anywhere else.

If you have a Swiss resident by lump sum and you have to live there full-time how long can you travel outside Switzerland for example you want to take a trip to Japan or a trip to Malaysia can you stay there for 2 to 3 weeks??
@rivenoak
@rivenoak Месяц назад
you are not hard chained to Switzerland so do your vacations of some weeks. problem starts if you try to seek loopholes to not actually spend most of your time in the alps full of cheese and chocolate. swiss residency is old fashioned: you are expected to park your butt there, no ifs and buts.

If you're a Polish citizen already, read from "SWISSBIT:" Unless your family is Polish and you're simply confirming your status as a citizen (a 6mth - 2yr process), you'll never get Polish citizenship in any time less than 10yrs (minimum time to naturalization) and then only if the govt really want you. If you're there on a visa, don't expect to ever naturalize - you'll only feel miserable when they reject your naturalization. Also if trying to naturalize, passing the language requirement, the history exams and the integration test is extremely difficult as they'll likely fail you on either the history exam or the integration assessment (you have to pass all three sections: language, history, and integration - whilst they will give a reason should they fail you on any part, there is no right of appeal) as Poland doesn't want immigration. I know many people who've found this out the hard way. Portugal, France, Spain, Germany or Belgium are generally the easiest in which to naturalize and become an EU citizen as these countries are more open towards legal immigration than Poland and won't go out of their way to fail people. SWISSBIT: Once an EU citizen as long as you meet Switzerland's requirements and have a heap of money you should be fine to work towards Swiss Permanent Residency. One note though - don't ever expect to become a Swiss citizen. One of my fathers colleagues who's a highly respected doctor was formally invited to work in a major hospital in Switzerland - he learnt the language, the history, integrated fully, had plenty of friends by after 25yrs when he tried to naturalize, the committee/panel that must all approve a naturalization refused him claiming he "hadn't sufficiently integrated". That was after 25yrs of being formally invited to work by the govt, having fully integrated, having learnt the language and history and having countless friends who all endorsed his application to naturalize.

@@matthewnirenberg thank you for respond. It seams swiss country is not for me, because all this fake history learning thing must be similar like in any country. If you have particular amount level you are not interesten in doing dairy silly things.... I think they need to feel the crisis pain to change attitude. I will say... Consider your study as you do but add one important factor... hard assets like BTC or other more reall assets posses by applying person. I had many years ago relocate my family to UK.... I worked those days in oil bussines and my coworking friends told me that UK is a grat place to moove and business relocation.... after 3 months there I realized that if I will be poor that relocation may have be a good idea... if you have money and skils , I consider that relocation as waste of time and recources. After 3 months we came back to Poland. if I will be you I Will try to make a programs like now but slight changes.... I will target clients who are high skilled consultants or engineers generally business owners who has some other hard assets behind and who are looking for particular tax solutions and they like to get out of tax juristiction of its country of oryging.... with taxation optimalize as a main target of all relocation. Large city subburbs as a target to relocation is essential. Possible large city as a suitable near pressence. Because ole EU countries are debt drown at this moment for study you should consider Daegel demography report 2025... Have a nice day.

B permit = temporary rez permit for 1 year
@rivenoak
@rivenoak Месяц назад
B is for 5 years if you are from the dear friends of switzerland aka nice part of EU or Liechtenstein Iceland and Norway, so it will vary by your country of citizenship. B will change into C unless you eff up and anything above C permit is swiss citizenship, so most ppl will never get more than C. but C permit is a settlement permit :D

That's the only way to get to most countries - the era of countries having visa options or wanting people is well and truly gone. Getting permanent residence is as good as it gets for 99% of people in Switzerland. 99% of people will never become Swiss citizens. @@matthewnirenberg what are the benefits between being a permanent Swiss resident and a Swiss citizen, is it just being allowed to vote or are there more benefits?
@matthewnirenberg
@matthewnirenberg 3 месяца назад
@@enjoystraveling Because there isn't really a concept of "permanent residence" in Europe. That's an AU/NZ/CAN thing. In Europe the countries want you to integrate and become a citizen - many countries will issue a residence permit after 5-6yrs that has just enough time left on it for the person to naturalize as a citizen, if they don't then they miss their opportunity to become a citizen and won't be given another permit. Switzerland will issue a Permanent Residence permit after a long time but every few years you have to "renew it" as they want to keep your details up to date (photo and address) so its not a seamless process. Citizens (in most countries) get the following bonuses: * Automatic right to work, vote, be a politician, live and start a business (no need to be renewing visas and work permits all the time) * Ability to open bank accounts as a normal person (non-citizens can only do so either as a business or with giant amounts of money being regularly deposited) * Ability to buy houses/land (Only AU, NZ, CAN & USA allow foreigners to buy houses/land) * Ability to access tertiary education without having to compete with international students (i.e. citizen-only enrollments - usually 10% of all places in a course) * The Swiss passport is very strong * Can't be denied entry to the country (2020-2023 showed that Australia doesn't care about its citizens as it locked many out and as a result many of them are in jail for overstaying tourist visas as they had nowhere to go)
