I hope this video helps you get accepted! Here’s the link to the Full POD Tutorial mentioned: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--hV1199wN0k.html
Submitted the application. Amazon says review time is approximately 14 days. I hope will be sooner. I'll keep updated. Thanks for this video, it help me to take action.
As a tax professional: Some advice- If you are an LLC, sign up as an Individual- you are a sole proprietor. 2nd, If you are outside the US find out how to file your income but as far as the US in concerned you are suppose to file a tax return for the US also, there are credits that you can take if qualified to help reduce any money you might owe. 3rd- He says royalties, if you are paid on a 1099MISC under the royalty box then you want to file on a Schedule E so you can also take any expenses that you might have incurred ie. fees from Amazon. If you put this under "other Income" you cannot take the expenses, it's not totally wrong to put here but you cannot take expenses on this section. If they pay you on a 1099-k then this is considered self employment income and it needs to go on a Schedule C. (not sure which one they actually send you).Ultimately, you need to consult a tax professional or do your research to make sure if you need to file a tax return and where to put it. Hope that helps clarify some! Good Luck everyone!
@@merijackson6448for this purpose they mean the same thing. An LLC can be an Individual/partnership/SCorp. The LLC part is just you registering for the state that you live in. If you are worried about getting sued then do the LLC But it is not needed. The only difference in expenses is the setup to do it. Everything else is the same
As a non-US citizen, do I have to file a tax return to IRS on my Amazon royalties? Or do I have to file a tax return to my country's tax authorities? Amazon has submitted 1042S form to IRS which has all information about my gross royalties and taxes withheld.
This person is hardly an ambulance chaser. This is very sound advice. While Greg Gottfried has provided some amazing information, no one should be paying tax on their gross income. Any expenses incurred legitimately need to be subtracted from gross income.
I followed all of your steps and I created a low content journal and was accepted the first round. I made the whole journal with Canva and made it around a specific niche. Thank you for all of your help!
As a newbie to this scene I'm thankful to have come across your channel. All of your videos are incredibly well written, free of fluff, direct and to the point.
I followed your advice and I was accepted. I had tried once several years ago and was rejected. Thank you! Now, I'm nervous about submitting my designs.
Nice! The hardest part is already done! Here's a full tutorial to help guide you step by step: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UWf2oFExj58.html I'm here if you run into any questions!
Can you please tell me how you got accepted, because recently I was rejected even though I follow every step to get accepted but still.. did you reapply with a changed email address or phone number?
@@mahiraasingh1408 I got my 5th rejection today. 😑 I am determined though - watching Greg's video again; maybe I need to tweak something... I think a lot of it depends on how many sellers they have/need... More of us are applying than they have slots for.
Greg, I've been dreading applying to Amazon Merch for the longest time and today, after watching this video, it gave me confidence in starting the application process right away. You're amazing! Thank you so much!
@@GregGottfried Hey Greg, great info as usual. When you say to re-apply with a different email address, do you mean during the application stage? I tried to make a create a new Amazon account to re-apply to the Merch platform, but when it wants to send an OTP to my phone number, the form says, "this phone number associated with another Amazon account". So I'm guessing you must mean that you sign into your same personal account with your regular email account login but when you go to the Merch by Amazon sign-up application, you THEN use a different email address. Is that correct? Thank you so much for the help!
Only question I have is this: If we have been accepted to any of the other Amazon programs (handmade, acx, reviewer, fba etc.), should we or should we not mention that when we apply for this one? Another exceptionally concise & truly helpful video, Greg. Thanks again!
I got rejected the first time I tried and gave up, but thanks for this informative video. In a single video you have literally addressed all my questions. And now, I will keep trying. Thank you so very much 🙏🏾😇
Same for me. Followed all the advice and made my application as appealing to Amazon as I could and still got declined. Don't know what else to do to be accepted.
It was quite awhile ago but I followed your video to the t and within 2 weeks I had got a letter of acceptance from Amazon Merch on demand so thanks for the great info you put out Greg.
Thanks Greg! You always make me smile whenever I watch your videos. I never get bored watching your videos again and again. They are so helpful for the business. Keep up the good work brother 👍.
Thank you. I appreciate hearing that because that's what I'm trying to accomplish with this channel. If you run into any questions just let me know, I try to be here everyday to answer questions 👍
Sir i need your guidance to open Amazon merch account, as i am from India and my location bank are not accepted here, so i tried to open an account on payoneer as you suggested but still unable to figure out my prob, please show me a way. Thanks@@GregGottfried
I completely agree!! The step by step and explanation of what they actually mean in simple terms makes his videos more appealing. I’m new here & I’m loving all of them. Can’t wait to get started 🤞🙌
Agree 100%. Watched a lot of videos online and this man made me really try to start this business that I was planning to start a few years ago, now he motivates me to do it because I see it has more meaningful.
I earlier struggled with getting able to sign up for merch on demand I have now managed to get onto the sign up page and I am awaiting confirmation from Amazon ..Supposedly should take about 14 days or so but could be longer we await with baited breath .. fingers crossed !
HI. Can I ask, did you get accepted? I applied and got rejected within 8 days. I tried to reapply but it requires the phone number which I used already in the first application. So now it wont take it.😔
Wow that was a really good video. He just got straight to the point and did not waste any time, and he was also very clear with his explanations. Liked and subscribed.
Thanks hopefully they accept me. I was going to start with Printful but did not realize we pay fulfillment fees before shipping is expedited. So getting accepted will allow me to generate sales at no upfront cost and then add Printful later.
Exactly right! There are a couple other sites you can start on right away without applying and not have to pay upfront. More on there here: Print On Demand Tutorial For Beginners 2024 (Step by Step) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UWf2oFExj58.html
Thank you so much for the updated video/ information on this. When letting them know that you already sell on other market places, do you recommend listing them out? Etsy, red bubble, etc. Or, should we just state that we already sell on multiple marketplace platforms? Thanks for all of the great information you provide on this channel!
TRying to re apply I have the following message : Thank you for requesting an Amazon Merch on Demand account. We appreciate your interest, but your account request has been declined. We thank you for taking the time to introduce yourself to us and encourage you to check out selling options on Amazon. I can't even use another mail adress ...
@@joyforyourfamilysjourney Thanks for sharing your experience, I still haven't gotten in yet either. We'll probably have a whole list of email addresses at the end of this. I'll keep focusing on Redbubble, Teepublic and Zazzle for now. Hope we'll get in eventually. 🤞
i like these tutorials from you, Gregg. very comprehensive, saying as well the minute details, incorporating every bit of idea and instruction with every utterance. Some questions: what is the diff between live vs auto-uploaded? why cant i see other amazon merch on demand markets like sg, and aussie? are the not part of amazon merch on demand? Im sure these two are included in amazon fba/amazon wholesale/amazon arbitrage
Hi Greg, thanks for teaching this. I’ve been rejected 2x so far and I just tried again to let it be known that indeed you need not only a different email address and password to start a new account but also you need to verify a totally different phone number as well. I don’t know about any one else but I only have one phone number.
They have never asked me for a new phone # & I just got my FIFTH rejection. Maybe that's why??? They didn't flag anything in the application but still didn't accept me. A friend of mine said that when she told them that she was in a "Christian" niche, they didn't accept her, but when she omitted the word "Christian" & reapplied with all the other same info [except email address], they accepted her. 🤷♀
@@joyforyourfamilysjourney Your friend just use a new email address and use the same phone number and get accepted? It sounds incredible. I've already been rejected 5 times :(
As always, helpful content and walk-thru - thanks! So is it better to establish our other POD stores first, so that we can list them in our Amazon application?
Thanks for the info. According to another 'guru' you need to use a new phone number as well each time you re-apply? The few people who do get accepted nowadays, seems to be from the US. (I've been denied 20+ times and gave up)
Yes, each time you create a new Amazon account to apply from, you have to use a new phone number. I have applied twice so far and the second this I had to use a different phone number.
Thank you Greg! You have been so helpful and generous to share your experience and knowledge. You explained it step by step, in detailed and very clear. You speak so clearly and very transparent. Thank you so much 😊
Another great video Greg! Quick question; do you find simplistic designs get more movement or more colorful & unique designs get more traction? Maybe a video based on your experience?? Thanks Greg!
@GregGottfied thanks so much for this. Really comprehensive and detailed. So much easier to watch and implement than a lot of others on YT right now. So glad we stumbled upon you!
As a first timer, what's confusing about Merch on Demand is that once you complete all the steps, it drops you to the resource page without telling you that your account request is being reviewed for approval. There are no buttons for next steps nor an email to tell you that your account is waiting for approval. You don't find out until you try to access your store page.
I did everything you suggested in the video and got turned down after 7 days of being in review. I just set up another Amazon account with a different email address as you suggested. Fingers crossed I can get approved this time…
If you are not accepted the first time, you say to re-apply with a different email address. Does this mean setting up a new Amazon account or can you just change the email address attached to your existing account? Thanks!
Hi Greg, you provide very useful information and I love your videos, thank you. So, do we choose the quality of the t-shirt? Are there options that fit everyone or is it standard on Redbuble, Amazon and Teepublic? Also, are returns common and how does the process continue? I would appreciate it if you could give me information in case of a return.
With Greg's passive POD format, the POD provider handles all the customer service -- including returns!!! That being said, RedBubble & TeePublic [& I think Amazon also] allow the customer to choose the quality of the product ["premium" t-shirts cost more, of course].
@@GregGottfried - Hi again Greg! I heard back from Amazon, and unfortunately they said "we are unable to extend an invitation to you to join Amazon Merch On Demand" So ...Taking you up on your offer to answer questions! Although this was obviously very disappointing, I'm going to try again. First question, How long should I wait before I do that? Second, Should I (in some way) re-word my application? (And yes I did follow ALL your tips!) Third, Since I'm not currently on any other POD websites should I start to sell on RedBubble and or Tee Public first before applying again with Amazon? Thanks again for all your help and guidance!
Hi Greg thank you for all of your help!! When I try to submit another application with an alternate email, it also asks for my phone number, then states: "The phone number you've entered already exists with another account." How does one get around that? Anyone have advice?
Dang.. At least you know you have yourself the best odds. You can reapply with a different email address so don’t give up, it’s well worth it once you’re in 😀
Great walkthrough with good advice Greg! Question, can one person owns multiple accounts with Amazon Merch at all? If yes, how do you do it exactly to avoid getting in any trouble with Amazon? I’ve seen a video of someone sharing his horrible story about having a second account a while back, but I still wonder if it is even possible to do. Thanks!
Thanks! Hope you've been well. Still traveling overseas? Great question. This is something I've too heard horror stories about (having multiple active Merch on Demand accounts). They state in their terms that you cannot have multiple active Merch on Demand accounts, and I believe they do actually enforce this. If you had multiple on accident, I'd just keep one dormant and use the other as your active one 👍
@@GregGottfried good to know, I feel like sellers on Amazon always need to be extra careful and cautious, like walking on a minefield. I came back from traveling two weeks ago, however, I caught COVID somewhere on the way back unfortunately. So, I’ve been trying to recover since then. Would like to create new RU-vid content again soon. Thanks Greg!
Thank you for your help. I was immediately declined, maybe because, I was rejected before. So I switched to different email to reapply as you suggested. I don't know whether i would be accepted but will see. Thank you again.

Thanks, these are great tips. Amazon definately didn't Email me back at all, but when I went to the Merch site after a couple of days I got a Sorry your not accepted. So try try again. :)
Loving the videos. I've followed this one and I've been rejected three times now but when I try to sign again it stops me, saying that my phone number is on another account. It didn't care the first three times, what gives?
Last week, I followed to the T all that you said and I still got rejected. :( Wish I knew why they didn't accept me. They didn't say. They responded today with - Thank you for requesting an Amazon Merch on Demand account. We appreciate your interest, but your account request has been declined. We thank you for taking the time to introduce yourself to us and encourage you to check out selling options on Amazon. How long should I wait before trying again?
Dang! Sorry to hear that, but sounds like you already know the drill on reapplying. It will get submitted as a totally separate application so you can reapply as soon as you’d like. Fingers crossed on this one!
@@GregGottfried Ive been reading that once merch on demand rejects you, then you're rejected for life. Yet I been seeing on different youtube channels to reapply using different emails and phone numbers. So I'm not sure how to reapply. Then another site said to wait 60 days before reapplying.
@@maureenchandlerreid7916 I totally agree, there’s a ton of different information out there. I just speak from experiences I’ve had or people I know have had.
I am just starting out. What is your experience with Amazon acceptance of sellers that have ZERO sales on any platform yet? Would it be wise to wait until you have a store elsewhere first?
Hey Greg, thanks for another awesome video! I have now applied three times using all those tips and I'm getting denied. Im from New Zealand, do you think that may be an issue?? Not many RU-vidr seem to say anything about that. Thanks so much, Alica
I was denied. I keep putting in different email addresses as suggested but says each time I have already been denied without accepting my application. How do I keep applying?
Greg, thank you for your instructions. So helpful - But I got turned down on Merch on Demand. I have a seller central account that is in good standing and a kdp book publishing account that is humming along and in good standing. I have 4 tshirt designs ready for upload and are pertaining to the election and Time is of the essence. You said to reapply under a different email account. Yet my kdp is under one email and my seller central under another email . How do you keep all emails straight and the denial letter I received said there is no path forward to reapply. Will I make them mad and never get approved with yet another new email? So excited to do this and yet hopes so dashed by denial.
If reapplying with a new email, do we need to make a new Amazon account too? … it asks to sign in or sign up to start. If I sign in, it’ll be linked to my previous email that I applied with. Thoughts please?
If we are declined, you mentioned that we can reapply using a different email address. Did you mean we need to create a new Amazon acct to create a different address to sign in OR did you mean to use a different bussiness email address on the Creator Information page?
I've been denied but I'm concerned about signing up with a different email address since all of the other information is still there (ie - SSN). Would this not lead to being booted from Amazon altogether?
No worries! You truly can just change the email address. I've spoken to a whole bunch of people who have done exactly this and gotten in on a later attempt with a different email address.
@@GregGottfried Right on! I'll be giving it another shot after I get some designs uploaded to the other sites. I probably should have done that the first time but didn't realize how competitive it is. Thanks for the reply!
Where they need more information when l click, it ask me to put my phone number to receive OTP, l put it but it says internal error. I never get the OTP, pls what do l do.
Thanks a lot for this again, Greg! Very informative and helpful, indeed! 💙👍 Please wish me luck for I have just submitted my request today. Keeping my fingers...and toes crossed. Hahaha! 😁
I have followed all the suggestions provided in the video, but Amazon still did not approve my application. I believe it might be because I am a foreigner.
Thanks Greg. That video was a big help. Question: and maybe experienced sellers in the comments might know, as well. Personally, I love a particular type of fabric blend when I buy a t-shirt. Is there any option for picking a specific blend for these t-shirts (for ex: 70% cotton 30% Polyester), or does Amazon just put them on average or cheaper type blends? THANKS!
Thanks for the comment, glad it was helpful. Great question. I'm the same way when buying shirts so I know what you mean. Amazon uses Port & Company shirts for their Standard t-shirts. They are definitely not a premium shirt, but for print on demand they are mostly bought as gifts so they serve their purpose. They also have a Premium t-shirt you can choose. I can't recall confidently but I believe these are Bella+Canvas shirts. They are much more comfortable, but it will all come down to personal preference. Again, these shirts are mostly being purchased as gifts, so they are not meant to be super-premium shirts. If you do want something super-premium, I'd recommend using Printful. They have a massive catalog of every big brand shirt.
@@GregGottfried Thanks for taking the time to reply, Greg. I wouldn't have thought that they are mostly purchased as gifts. Good to know. And thanks for the Printful recommendation. Appreciate it!
I don't know what else I can do, I followed all of the directions and was still denied 6 times. I can't get any more Google numbers, and I use my personal number to set up a profile and email. Merch by Amazon asks for a phone number for verification. And because I've used my numbers already. They won't let me apply. Any suggestions? Thank you, I appreciate your help.
Hi, Amazon UK are suggesting you have to join the influencer programme , before you can apply for merch on demand? is this the case now? or is the US different
I was told by amazon merch support that payoneer bank accounts are not supported by amazon merch on demand at this time. Therefore, it could be a reason for your rejection
I was just declined (first try) - you said reapply with different email.. but doesn’t that mean a whole different account too? You have to put your account email in to log in.. sorry I am confused.
Hi, I have been accepted and I started posted. But I am limited at 4 products a day. I don't understand how it works. Because I have selected an item, chosen One platform and then, it has chosen 3 more platforms and Decided I cant post any more. Then once published I have a possibility to modify but I cannot. Could you please made a tutorial explaining step by step the process for merch on demand which is absolutely not intuitive like teepublic. Thanks
Thank you for the content. I applied for the first time after watching this video and rejected. I am trying to reapply, but what should i do? because now I have an existing account with amazon with my contact. when I tried to reapply i was told that the current cell number exists. So I should delete my current accounts in amazon before reapplying? could you please let me know. Thank you
If you are just starting out with POD, Does it help to actually start selling on a couple other platforms first and then apply for the big dog or do they not check? I'm assuming they don't have the time or care to do that, it's all about what you say in the letter. Thanks for your great videos and content.
Do mech on demand listings get shown higher or are sold by amazon listings going to always rank higher? I am looking a t shirts in my niche and not seeing any sold by merch on demand listings. Also, can we create our own store with our designs we can send people to?
Do you have any advice or can you point us to any guides on getting a TIN or EIN if we want to avoid using our SSN? I'm going to be trying online sale stuff on a number of sites this year and I really don't want to be handing out my SSN all over the place. (I've heard you can get a TIN for a sole proprietorship from the IRS for free?)
