how to get accepted to liberty university// sat score, gpa, essay & more 

Wow I got accepted so easly. I had no extra curriculars or recommendations, nothing extra to add to my app. My academics where fine and my sat wasn't like amazing only 1180.

Considering Liberty let me in with my highschool GPA, if you have a 2.5 or higher with an ACT of 18+, give or take, I feel like your chances of getting in are pretty high lol. Just my input since they let someone like me in haha

I’m a senior in high school and got accepted back in November. I have relatively high academics, but I never got any recommendations or anything like that. Just did the application, wrote the essay (which is really short by college application standards), sent in transcript and SAT scores (a 1310 at the time) and heard back in under a month.

I'm an online graduate student pursuing MDiv degree. They did ask for a pastor contact name/number and did call them. Christian essay is important...I've heard more that one person claim that they had great grades but were somewhat "reserved" on their Christian essay and were not accepted. The application process was pretty easy although I did have to have my earlier schools (I have BS degrees in biology and geology) forward my final transcripts. Taking the tour is important too because it both demonstrates a genuine interest in LU. Overall, they are looking for students with an established track record of academic accomplishment, community involvement, and who accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

i have a 3.0 gpa and got a 1060 on the sat. moved to a new school last year where i took 1 ap class and 1 honors class, and i’m taking 3 ap classes and 1 college class this year. liberty said they didn’t need my resume with all of my extracurriculars or letters of recommendation. do you think my chances are ok?

I got in this year! Idk why but there was no area for me to put any of my extra curricular and I found out the next day! All I did was write the small essays, fill out the application, send my SAT, and send my high school transcript. It was ridiculously easy. I was a little bummed bc there was no were for me to put my extra curricular but it was so easy dl not be discouraged!!

I just finished applying. I got a 3.8 GPA and a 1160 SAT. What do you think my chances are? Update: I was just accepted today! Hurrah!!!! Also I had no letters of recommendation and I was accepted. I'd just say to take the little essay thing they have you do seriously. I've been told several times that it's a major factor that determines whether or not you are accepted.

Hi, I wanted to ask if I could still get into Liberty University if I had a 2.5 GPA ending high school. Also, I’m retaking my SAT in March. I’m tutoring and reviewing practice test on website like Khan Academy, Uworld app for SAT/ACT. Honestly i feel like if you have a pulse an are active in your church youll get into Liberty. I took a gap year from high school with a sub standard GPA. Only got a 19 on the ACT, but had a good essay with the help of my youth pastor an got accepted back in 2005

I’m in the application process currently. I’m transferring from my old college after a break. When I started College I was 16 and didn’t know what I wanted to do. Now that I’m older and have an understanding of what I’m meant to do I’m ready to put in the work and do what I need to do. I was on the Honor Roll throughout high school and graduated a year early. In college after a year I had a 2.19 GPA (bad I know). What do you think are my chances of getting in? I’ve been stressing.
