Couple of questions. In the beginning, you say you match it to the ink? 1 - You mean the printer/ink combo & then of course , paper/printer/ink ICC Profile. 2 - is this a drawing or a photo? Either way it looked like a color gradient with the slight blue being only at the top of the paper & were you trying to get rid of the blue tint or???? Also I have noticed that when doing my basic editing in LR basic panel that adjusting the white & black points (in combo with the Alt Key held down until just below clipping will usually give my document (in my case a photo) way more punch that I think would of solved your color, brightness saturation match. Probably could be done using a layer in PS also. I also recommend getting monitor profile device & using it as recommended. i don't use a Apple/Mac but understand their monitor & color control if it is Apple/Mac is pretty good. Non Mac, do the profiling. Just my opinion. Thanks for the vid & nice drawing or photo.

Great questions. 1/ It really depends on how particular you are, for me - if I am printing for exhibitions then, I would calibrate for Paper/Printer and Ink, but would calibrate for ink if the print is not for exhibition. 2/ It is a photo. I am trying to match for the original image. Great technique for LR. The edit is for soft-proofing with PS, this is one of an assignment for the students. 3/ I would agree, new Apple/MAC monitors are adequate but not perfect, so it really depends how fussy one is with their prints and how close you want to match with the monitor with the prints. Also, many students don't have the old MACs or PC monitors. I hope that answer your questions.

Can I use the same technique for screen printing on Tshirts? (I don't have a screen printing device so I will need to send the image to get it printed on a Tshirt)

I’ve made my own T-shirts with relatively good results. Colours are a bit duller - but you can adjust for that with the steps in the video. However, it is best to ask the printing company for the specs or find it on their website. It should list the minimum or max resolution, colour profile and ppi /dpi. Some company would like their profile in cmyk, if that’s the case you should adjust accordingly. I also recommend you order a sample T-shirt before ordering it in bulk.

there is no option for proof color in my View, I'm working with adobe photoshops elements. I see only 7 (hi lighted) available options, none say proof color.

Photoshop Elements is a bit different from Photoshop. I am not sure what version you have but you can try this: File>Automation Tools>Color and Tone, and then a window will open to which you will then choose Soft Proof. Or read this if the above does not work: helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/kb/color-management-settings-best-print.html
