At first I was playing Brawlhalla for fun. I work from home, so I can play anytime I want. But trough the years I did get better and tried ranked games. I’m a really really competitive guy and I have now 900h in game and my peak is 1995. Been struggling passing diam since last season. I was SO afraid of going down in Elo. Every ranked game was littéral hell for me, sweating, shaking, my heart beating so fast… understand me here, I know I’m a grown guy who just plays a 2D game but… when you put so much effort in a thing, you just want to be successful… Today your video is a real GAME CHANGER for me… it’s sooo refreshing for me, you just can’t imagine, it’s like you made this video for me!!! i used to get a bit of anxiety when i first started playing because i felt the same like damn i worked so hard to get to this peak, but honestly one day i woke up an was like ya know what. i dont even care. if YOU got to that peak once, then undoubtedly YOU can get back to it, if not beyond it. an youll never get beyond it if you dont try. you being me if yk what i mean. an after that i havent cared at all about my elo, an now ive been able to get diamond twice since.
This was the most needed thing ever because no one would ever keep it real like you. They'd sugarcoat it whereas you're not afraid to be straight and honest. More people need to watch this even if they dont play brawlhalla. This can be applied to everything. Thank you for this.

I applied some of your other advise from your other videos along with this one, and I peaked at like 50 elo away from Plat after trying to get Plat on and off for 4 years straight and actually switched my main too. I subbed out my Lance for Scythe to play Nix instead, and I've been improving significantly, even though I switched just yesterday. This guy knows his shit, I wonder where I'll be in a couple weeks or even a month from now where I've already gained 150 elo in 2 days just from watching his videos

I’m gonna be honest. This guide was to help me with mordex but it helped me to not be such a bitch about things and to do it because we only live once and it won’t kill us over it. I agree so much with the always take the fight over flight because you’ll feel amazing if you take the risk of fighting instead of thinking that you were too scared to do something. Great guide overall man❤ Edit: after this vid I went from 1150 to 1266 but now just dropped to 1211 elo So I improved my elo by following your guide to stay calm and not be stupid whilst playing👑

First and foremost let me say this might be the most informative guide I’ve seen from a non professional in my life. Even if this helps just one person, it is greatly beneficial! On another note this might be the only video I’ve ever watched with full attention over 1 hour! From minute 1 to an hour and a half I was engaged. It took me 2500 hours to hit diamond and it took me a long time to cope but when i applied a few of these things (from eggsoup video) I could actually play for fun and to be better and within the next 100 hours i hit 2200. Hence, how important the mindset is and being intentional about everything your doing and thinking

I remember where I was throwing attacks kinda randomly ended up in low gold, I then decided to put effort and decreased in rank down to silver, but once I became experienced in throwing attacks with purpose I went back and surpassed my previous Elo, only about 50hours in game
This hard countered me yesterday i went against diamonds in ranked and a pro and a commentator and i am only gold I beat the diamond but when i saw the partnered creator i freaked out and lost

What. The. Fuck. I don't know where to start Do you have a PhD in psychology, either way you're a genius, dude overanalyzed everything and synthetized it so perfectly. I'd like to explain a bit of my situation: i'm RETARDED, like, i've been taking 3 types of different médication everyday for years because of psychiatric problems, so i always knew i'll never be a top player (fucking shitty genes and bad life décisions, whatever), 1200 hours and i'm only plat, one of my friend has 900 hours and is 2200. But YOU ! You give me hope, cause you only spit straight facts and like you said it's only excuses and additionnal challenge. I started streaming a year ago (which helps btw because your mental is better when you focus on being entertaining than tilting etc...) and i started being Friend with mid-diamonds who accepted me in the crew (gold at the time) and nowadays i spar them everyday, slowly but surely i progress even with my problems( flow state barely ever happens and i kinda need to think every move, i lost the "instinct" flow state long ago with brain damage. (Tbh i think i think at a 20 words per seconde rate, not 1000 xD). Talent maybe isn't a thing but handicap is one. Not to mention that when i competitively spar friends my mental's good(who gives a fuck if they lose to someone 500 elo higher than you) but my mental is damn crap everytime i try ranked i HAVE A PANIC ATTACK AT THE LAST STOCK even if i dominated the whole time : BUT YOU CONVINCE ME THAT ALL OF THESE ARE EXCUSES, i don't give a fuck if my 3 neurons left make me learn slower i always go for the read because when i try to react i am way to late. The funny Part is even when Ur rlly good you suffer in ranked facing waiting and passiveness. My Summary for 7 years + of Bh. you never get rawarded for knowing All the reads movement and stuff. Diamond is the highest you can get with this all aboth that you have to switch to a hybrid passive or waiting playstile wich is so bring for me. Or you play 2s only
It is what it is, Bad players who Has the will to wait you out are the demons who hold you back from reaching to the top. Every Pro Player Has a hybrid playstyle. These who dont cant win constistantly you have to choose Fun or Win

I'm only 40 minutes into the video, and i plan on watching it all. you're giving sound advice, but as far as brawlhalla's concerned, you STILL have to know your true combos and all your movement empty hop/fastfall things before you can even THINK about climbing the ranks. i swapped from controller to keyboard recently and I'm having hell getting my stage hops and my movement down like i had it on controller. but now i can't use controller cause I've spent 2 months learning keyboard lol. i feel like I'm stuck at below average even though i know how to do these higher level techniques
@@Zenexasbait does make a difference, higher Hz does help lol. I know of friends who went up 200 in peak elo from like 2.3 to 2.5 and many more. It's not instant but higher Hz helps with the input. I also saw the diff when I went up in hz but it still comes down to just improving but there are ppl who really get held back by their setups
I know I'm dog shit but for some odd reason when I figt a mid to low plat I destroy them but when it comes to gold I suck ass. also I think its a mentality thing where if they have higher elo then you you strive to beat and do better then them.
If you fight a mid plat 10 games in a row you will win 2 MAX, and just like you said you try harder against the plat to prove something whilst he doesn’t give a shit about the match. Beating a plat doesn’t mean anything, being a plat does.
