Apparently Otherside Discs in Bedrock Edition do now generate in Dungeon Chests. I believe this was changed recently as the mc wiki still says they do not.
It’s cool that the ancient city just has the shards for it’s music disc, because it shows the warden, or at least the people that once lived there, destroyed them to hide any sound or noise
Tip: You can also build a small roof above the skeleton in the boat, to keep them there even during day so you won't have to recapture a skeleton to get more discs.
In the newest update, jukeboxes are needed to duplicate the allay (it dances while music is playing and if you give it an amethyst shard while it's dancing, you get another allay!)
Since C418’s departure, Mojang have been looking for great Video game music artists since 1.16, and I feel like these music discs get very interesting each update
You always provide information I had never heard of before. Had no idea each disc had a unique redstone signal strength. Love the secret door & trap idea. Now I have a reason to learn redstone. You give info faster than I can utilize it, lol. Glad I can rewatch your older videos when I'm ready to progress.
Most of the music discs can only be obtained from the player making a skeleton kill a creeper which I don't think that much players would go out of their way to do and maybe they don't even know about it. I think that the skeleton vs. creeper discs (except for 11) should probably be able to be found in specific structures so they can be more accessible to players, kind of like how the treasure chests in bedrock edition have wait and mellohi.
Love your videos man. I appreciate the effort you put into your consistent uploads, and the content is always useful! Also thank you for clarifying if something is specific to bedrock or java.
I had no idea pigstep was that rare since I found it in my first ever bastion chest but I guess I was just really lucky lol. Also I swear I have found other side in a bedrock dungeon chest before. My fiancé and I have a realm together and she liked the jukebox so I got her all of the disks and I found it in the dungeon chest
Me to I found pigstep in my first bastion ever and I didn't know is very rare either and I died💀(because I didn't play Minecraft for 3yrs and I didn't know that piglins are attacking you when you open a chest)
Collecting music discs in MC has always been one of my favorite things to do. Go on adventures find new discs and hang out in my castles library listening to them. I really really hope they don’t just stop at 15 because of redstone..
I wanted to come to your latest video just to comment this. So I've recently started playing minecraft again after 7 years and I must say your guides are helping me through this amazing journey (which I am recording currently) I just wanted to say such a big thankyou for doing these you really do deserve more subs but I am sure the views you are getting doesnt hurt. I just wanted to let you know that what you are doing is really helping me so I am sure there are silent users who are also so thankful for the videos you do, Keep up the amazing work. P.S I love your voice its so relaxing
@@Eyecraftmc you're channel is one of my best finds in RU-vid, to the point that I enjoy watching new videos with my morning coffee routine, I use minecraft as bonding opportunity with my son we've been having so many quality times sense I'm more informed about the game now thanks for your channel 😁 from saudi Arabia 🇸🇦
thata weird, since i had an otherside disc on my bedrock world, without being to either a stronghold or Acity. I've been to multiple dungeons, so that's how I think I got it, but you said there're only in there on java... checked the wiki as well and it checks out with what you said, so I'm kinda confused
Maybe the wiki wasn't updated when Mojang made the change. They very recently made a lot of bedrock updates. The disc location was probably one of them & no one was aware, until now.
In my most recent singleplayer world I got extremely lucky finding Pigstep in my first Bastion, even moreso since it was a small one with only like two chests (that I was able to find).
Hi Eyecraftmc, I like your videos a lot! I have a question though. I’m starting my own Minecraft RU-vid channel and I was wandering how do you get to use images of Minecraft items in your video’s and thumbnails? Can you just get them from Google? Is it legal to use them in RU-vid videos? Do you have to ask for permission? Or do you make them yourself? Would love to hear your answer! Chris
Hey Chris! If your using an image that is already an asset from Minecraft (basically any block or item or mob etc.) then you can use that for Minecraft Videos and Thumbnails without having to worry about giving credit as all of those Minecraft Textures are owned by Mojang anyways and are allowed to be used :D
Oooh thank you for your reply! Yes that makes sense, i just started to make things complicated in my head, but thank you very much! Your video’s are a great inspiration. I see you are really growing very fast and that’s cool to see! Thank you!
I love your videos man! The info depth in them is always great and I learn some really good finer facts from you! Keep up the amazing work! Not sure if you play much bedrock.. but I can say that otherside is found in our dungeon chests also ;)
Otherside is my favorite music disc. Lena Raine is one of my favorite video game composers, and I was ecstatic when I heard she was making Minecraft music a few years ago.
Can you cover what the "optimize world" option does in single player? Im currently trying it out and I noticed that there is a serious lack in updated recent content when it comes to covering what this does. I had to watch the end of a 4 year old video to find any kind of discussion on it
Thank you, btw can u like start a lets play in a hardcore world and show us tips and tricks while u playing, and doing some farms etc… I think that would also help your channel many peoples like lets plays
I made an afk music disc farm for the original ones pre pigstep. Works amazingly but way to op for reg survival. You need to open and close a trapdoor for it to work
You are the only Minecraft RU-vid channel that I watch for all the info I need. Every video is so informative and well done, you have single handedly helped with all my knowledge about this game and it’s mechanics, anytime I need to learn about something new I will come right to this channel, I just watched the perfect enchanting guide you put out and upgraded all my armor and tools and weapons to the best enchants and also upgraded everything to netherite because of your ancient debris mining guide also, and I built that automatic potion brewing station you made as well, I love your work and can’t wait for more to come. Keep up the amazing work.
My speculation is that wait was when the pirates recorded the music of the natives, meaning they have commended with the people. Mellohi in the other hand was about the pirates either losing because of an other ship that destroyed the pirates who recorded wait and mellohi, or it’s about them stranded so they made a very depressing song to represent their sadness idk
I put down 20 boats. Lure the creepers an arrowmen into the boats. Space them out right. Use a lead to move arrowmen boats if needed. A roof can help keep sunlight from killing archer. Safest easiest way I've found. Best to do it in a place where creeper holes aren't a problem.
The way I got Pigstep is by building up a few blocks and then safely taking out the brutes with a bow before continuing to loot the chests, normal piglins shouldn’t be much of a problem
I started my survival world in bedrock about a month ago, and somehow I managed to have mellonhi and other side in the first week, without going to a stronghold, the creeper and skeleton method, or treasure chest lol
All of the discs are super easy to get except Pigstep and disc frag one. Pigstep doesn’t spawn in every bastion and the Ancient City is very dangerous but can be navigated if you have enough wool, patience and a good hoe (to destroy skulk shriekers. But all of the others can be farmed using a boat or two and luring/trapping a creeper. Then lure a skeleton to shoot you but put the trapped creeper between you and the skeleton. Guaranteed record drop.
I wish the music disks could be looped to serve as continuous background music within a certain area. I've heard it's possible in Bedrock but not in Java edition.
It is possible to make a random auto jukebox with redstone in bedrock. It’s limited to 8 discs as you need a space constantly I believe. It’s pretty neat to have in my nether base with the creepy discs and pigstep on repeat whenever I’m at my nether base!
Fun fact the reason jukeboxes are crafted with a diamond is because the sharp end of a music player that requires a disc the of that is made out of diamond.
@@Eyecraftmc I'm not as familiar with how realms work in Minecraft, but I made it on my Xbox. I assume that it would be generated in bedrock. I did have a friend join who had the PC version of MC with both bedrock and Java. Maybe that caused it.
The boat trick is just not worth it in SMP. There's always 6-7 mobs bunched up at once and they keep coming, alot less hassle to just put the creeper at 1 hit and lining up with a walking archer.
