I’ve wanted to get experience and become great since I was about 11 now I am 14 and actually gonna start acting classes there aren’t many places near me and I’ve been trying to find workshops but there are barely any near me. But I’m not gonna give up soon even though I’m not that good. My dream is to act not necessarily to be mega famous but in the future for people to know my name would be really nice. I hope that things work out in my favor and I can actually accomplish the things I want to accomplish even though I’m not known for being very lucky.

I’m 12 and I’m wondering how I can get a legit agent without them scamming me. And how would I know if they are good. What would you recommend?

I'm almost 16, what am I doing with my life. I need to start when quarantine is over.

Honestly, going to acting classes is the best thing. I'm not talking about for a month or until you get signed. I mean keep training and learning. Leonardo DiCaprio who won every award in this business still has an acting coach. People who don't want to learn the acting craft don't belong in this industry. Go to class (start with technique and audition classes), act in small/student films, get your headshot/resume going, then submit when you're ready. Also do background acting work on union films so you can get your union eligibility ready but that's not as important as class when you're starting. Trying to get an agent without doing any of those things I mentioned is a waste of time and is better spent learning the craft. If luck is opportunity meets preparation, do your part in the latter.

I'm 32. Lived in nyc when I was 27 and got a good number of gigs with no agent. Walked away after the toxicity of the industry really came to light. But the bug has been nipping at me again. But, in 32 years, and having had this dream my entire life, legitimately trying to get my "foot in the door" for almost 20 full years, I haven't been able to crack the code of getting an agent. I've been on TV, I've done theater, I've even won an award for my acting. Still can't seem to figure out how to get representation.

i started acting at 13. only done school plays/musicals and was in a local televised commercial. i’m 16 now so still young lol. i have always been serious about it but i am actually going to get into it now.

I started at 7 but stopped a year later cause I was too young, but now I sent these videos to my mom and she said “I’ll start signing you up now.” And she was so supportive of it. Thank you.

Most of them have agents and have worked professionally, and all i've done is one or two school plays. I've always loved acting and dancing, and i can sing pretty well *if I do say so myself*- ANYWAYS, it's been really hard for me, and this advice is greatly appreciated. I almost feel as if i'm starting late? But with these videos, my confidence has been boosted, and I got into one of the best middle schools for the arts here in Florida. I’m terrified to ask my parents for acting classes, my parents are very chill. But they’re country parents, they’re not strict but I’m scared- I’m not really scared because it’s probably expensive, it’s just I think they won’t support my love for acting- Edit: I’ll ask my mom sometime- when I do I’ll tell the results!

I really want to be an actress, and this really helped me out! I did an online acting class, and I am planning to go to a in person class when school starts! Also, by the :know your stuff part" That made me think about before my classes (I watched this video before) I have found that I am good at playing serious, sarcastic, yet sensitive on the inside characters (where they hide there true feelings). I am also good at acting angry, but my week points is crying. I am not that good at fake crying, but I have been working on it, and I personally think I'm getting better!!!!
