@@McDoinky yeah,i mean bass strings already produce a lot of tension when tuned in standard E.it's still weird to me seing a bass tuned like this.i knew johnny marr usually plays with a capo but i'm not sure about andy
Possibly my favourite bass line from my favourite band ever. My god. Every single instrument line is complex (vox included), yet they fit together so perfectly. God I love The Smiths.
Final day 15 of asking for Colin greenwoods bass tone (someone carry this on) Danny thanks for always making great content and I always look forward to your shorts so thanks for always making my days a little more bassed and groovy
Well since ya asked I got one for ya. One that never gets talked about lol- Jason Newsted's live tone with his Alembics from 91-93 during the Black album tour. Im referring to his dry clean setting he used for most of the setlist. Also his tone during his my friend of misery solo around that time period as well, which I think had a flanger effect on it. San Diego '92, Stockholm '92, & Day on the Green '91 have good audible bass. Stockholm has DI soundboard audio, San Diego is house audio but pro recorded & mixed. Keep rockin the BEHS bud!!! 🤘🏽
Heck yea, this tone is so cool, and that bass line is amazing! Do you think you could maybe do Mark Hoppus’ bass tone from Blink-182 if you haven’t already?
Great vid! Just wondering, is it safe/recommended to tune your bass strings that high, and do you have any tips on how to do it without damaging the bass?
It always baffled me that he tuned his bass that high, I always thought that would make your strings break but he still gets a great sound nonetheless. Anyways, this may be a bit of a newer suggestion but I’d love to see a video on how to get Victoria from Måneskin’s bass tone
