Based on your video I'm guessing none of them. I'll either find 2 friends who want a set and try to find an unopened box. Otherwise I just won't be buying minifigures anymore.
@@origamifolder2255 Its not a metal detector otherwise it would always be going off because of peoples phones. Its a tag detector. you might get some looks from people for doing it but the tag detectors shouldn't be a problem
@@rdclips3647 Don’t really think that this is the wisest way to treat LEGO’s products- by ripping the box open, looking inside, then just not taking it 😂
Your methods and using a small scale actually worked. I got both Mr Knight and Moon Knight from the same trip and found them very quickly after weighing 15+ boxes at my local ASDA. I looked crazy weighing the boxes but I’d rather look stupid than be stupid and waste money on figures I don’t want.
That’s exactly my thinking with duplicates. Plus depending on who you get they could pay for them all lol. Also, small food scale may not go to the decimal point which you need.
I think LEGO will see that this will be a disaster in the making. I am all for more sustainable packaging, but people are just going to rip these open in the store if they are not locked away. There must be an alternate way to do this and still be sustainable.
My local target has them out early and instead of having them back with the Lego like previous series they've moved them up to the check out candy shelves probably to keep a better eye on them
@@Ashnflash I personally am going to just get the whole wave through the 6 pack boxes. Those consistently have a preset roster of figures. I don't mind getting duplicates tho, I just want the whole wave.
The codes on the boxes more likely are related to the manufacturing of the boxes. Millions of these boxes are printed using multiple printing presses. So if there’s an issue with the UPC’s or spelling it can be isolated to one press or another etc. I work in a printing with a dozen presses.
The scale method helped me get Agatha, thank you so much! It still upsets me that they‘d get rid of the bags, figuring out which figure you were gonna get was like half the fun of these .-.
The scale is great, and for she hulk and beast, the more parts rattling around is a dead giveaway. Im gonna get the series through the 6 pack boxes, but this method will be great for the next cmf where i maybe only want a couple of figures
LEGO should do a number system. I know Mattel has a number system for their Cars Mini Racers mystery boxes, where the last two numbers corresponding with a different character. And a friend of mine said Mega Construx has something like that too for their Halo stuff.
@@Ashnflash yes, but blind boxes for this price are inherently an evil thing. It is capitalism at it best. Force people to buy and hope they get what they want. With codes, people can have both, the suprise if they are not aware of the codes, but for those who want all, they can use it. This push people to steal or scalp and resell on Bricklink.
@@gwsmith08 yeah its really fair when people buy the entire case and open it then sell the one you want for a $15 with shipping because no matter how many you get you cant find it
The european boxes are different than the american boxes . Just2good did a review where he unboxed a full european box and the first figures were the same as you pulled : Agatha and Wolverine . So the american box has a different position where the characters are to europe .
Thanks man, That scale is really helpful, usually in some shops they have a weight section for the fruit so if you can just bring your figs over you can actually figure it out :)
We brought a scale into Walmart and went box by box until they were pretty confident with the ones they chose. And it worked!! You're the best, thanks!!!
I think I'll try my luck and get a couple of the 6 packs of figures. I did that for series 1 and got 11 of the 12, with my one duplicate being White Vision. I think Lego is at least kind enough to not give you any duplicates in the same box.
The top line of numbers on each box is a manufacturing code, which simply indicates the date and location of manufacture, not the contents. I do wonder, however, whether the QR code may be a unique identification for factory use.
The scales worked wonders. Got a box of 30, needed 10, weight them all and managed to get the 10. There were slight weight discrepancies (I am assuming glue) but pretty close. So happy. Thanks for sharing. 😊
Ashnflash, the code method looked helpful, but to get it straight, we have to see the minifigures' code each, see what their code is, and once we go to the Lego store, we can grab them just that easy? So we don't suffer in having a repeated one in case there won't be a box of 36. In fact, can you tell us each character's code in a different video? If not, it's ok. I'll figure it out in this helpful video.
for anybody thats not sure if it works, im just out of my walmart and got all the ones i needed, she hulk, wolverine and agatha, thanks Ashnflash for this trick its working 100%
@@Ashnflashthen its decided,as 33yold dad im gonna rip the boxes to see whats inside,0fucks given...i felt all the minifigs so far but im not gambling with lego and i dont know why the eu laws dont intervene on this crap i want to see what im buying...or as a guy above said, bring superglue 😂😂
I bought the same scale off of Amazon yesterday. But I still will be hunting for a box to bring home (empty). The box looks awesome. Also - anyone interested in one of the 5 Echos I got yesterday?
Here's the one I bought: www.amazon.ca/Precision-Mini-Scale-200g-0-01g/dp/B07DJBDL6L/ref=sr_1_6?crid=1DNM7N9KCU40E&keywords=weight+scale+micro&qid=1691968580&sprefix=weight+scale+micro%2Caps%2C93&sr=8-6
i asked this question on a community post, but the post got deleted for some reason, so ill ask here, do the scales in the produce aisle work with the weight guide?
Strange that it got deleted. But it should theoretically work if it can be as exact as the decimal points. But you’d definitely get some strange looks lol.
Nice weed scales each full box has codes for all of them three of each unique to that box . Some boxes have more glue and some have security stickers that make the box weigh more .
to solve the weight issue. Measure all 36 empty boxes with a seaed manual inside and calculate the median which is the sum of a weights divided by the qty of boxes. Measure then the weight of each individual figure, write them up in a list. Get sealed packs remove the average box with pamphlet weight we calculated earlier and compare numbers. This method is not perfect but it certainly more reliable than any other guesswork solutions
It’s a shame my local toys R us shut down in like 2018, they opened the figures in CMFs and put them in the window where you could just buy the one you want out of bag (box now)
i’m gonna try to do it based off of sound- i managed to get echo and wolverine through this which i was super happy with because only one of them were duplicates- a store is somehow still selling them for RRP
I’ve been trying to find Moon Knight. I bought the exact same scale, I weighed it and got 19.4…. BUT I KEEP GETTING STORM!!! Is there something I’m doing wrong??? 😩
for beast and she hulk in this set specifically, you can actually weigh and see if one has more rattle than the other since beast has more small pieces
I usually check for different number codes and what I got. Moon Knight, Mr Knight, Storm, Werewolf by Night, She-Hulk, Hawkeye And Beast. (Spoiler: the first 4 wasn't read and be glad you're an only child).
I don’t know if this is just me but I’m trying to share it that my local target has the marvel series 2 cmf rn and it also has the Disney 100 series early so if there’s a target near you check it out
I've been using a scale like that for the past 3 minifigure series and got what I expected almost every time. 👍 The only instance when I didn't was due to my own error when comparing with the table of weights.
@@Ashnflashif I don't get the ones I want do you think I should just wait until each individual figure is on Amazon? Because they will be after a few months.
@@cruzman8605just buy the 6 packs there are like 2 versions of the 6 pack one with the first half and one with the other so theoretically it should take you 2 6 boxes but you could get a double 6 box if ur really unlucky
The lego company is all about profitability instead trying to be more environmentally friendly. Blind bag vs paper box. You tell me what's more environmentally friendly, but I know for sure Lego wants you to get more dupes
For some stupid reason, I feel like I have to complete this set. Manly because I have 2 or more of every minifigure sealed set so far. I was doing it for my niece and nephew and I already have the Marvel Series 1. My plan thus far??? Hope and pray.
Thank you for making this video it will be very useful and I already have a second decimal point scale coming in the mail As a huge marvel fan I am ready for this I am ready for this
Honestly, if they're gonna switch to boxes and make it impossible for casual lego fans to figure out what figure they're getting, they should just put the name of the character inside on the box. The only reason the blind bags worked is cause it was still possible to determine what you're getting, but if it's not, it's basically a gamble and a lot of people won't like that...
@@BossBast1 Um no its not the same. You are purchasing an actual item with these. These are as much "gambling" as trading cards are. I don't see the EU banning Pokemon because every pack doesn't spew out a Charizard.
@@jthom0027 better comparison would be kinder surprise. But it is still gambling in principle. Same as loot boxes. Virtual or physical, it changes nothing. Whether is virtual Pokémon TCG or real one, it is the same.
@@jthom0027that just makes it more like gambling than lootboxes, because with those you have to sell your account for the game said lootboxes were purchased for. With physical items, you don't have to do anything nearly as extreme to make a profit. You are gambling on openening a figure with more value than other figures, just like trying to pull rare cards in TCGs.
@@BossBast1 Its not the same though. The reason the virtual stuff is so predatory is parents buy the game for the kid and have no idea that there are in game transactions that don't simply run out of stock. There are ZERO people that buy card packs or mystery boxes accidentally and you still end up with a physical item with monetary value after its opened. Whether that item was worth the mystery box price is up to the person buying it (in most cases its not) but its not the same type of gambling that the UK is dropping the hammer on.
When I first got a bag I couldn't figure out how to feel for a minifigure so I asked at the front desk for a specific minifigure bag and they gave me it.
