Welcome my channel! If this is your first time seeing my face or hearing my voice, my name is Lee and I am a self aware narcissist. I have narcissistic personality disorder ( NPD ) and I've been in therapy for my personality disorder since 2017 and it has definitely changed my life because without it, I would have lost everything.
The point of these videos is to help bring awareness from the other side of the narcissistic *buse spectrum. All my videos give perspective on why many narcissists do what they do and the possible different reasons behind them. The victims and survivors get validation and the Narcissists (those that are willing) get to see that you can get help and that you are not alone.

I find it really crazy how narcissists operate in such a predictable pattern. One thing that made it really complicated for me was that my ex and I used to laugh together a lot, really enjoy having a good time together like best friends. So it was really difficult to come to terms with the fact he was a pretty bad narcissist, taking my money, stealing from me, cheating, being cruel to me to punish me for days etc. He wasn't my best friend at all. I couldn't understand why he'd do the things he did when our relationship had a lot of great parts to it. It felt like he was 50/ 50 the best person I knew and the WORST. I can't help feel sad for him being trapped in this narcissistic mindset, but I will still never speak to him again. Crazy how he wasn't who I thought he was, at all. And now it's clear as day to see

I feel you on the best/worst person thing. This is exactly how I felt about my narcissist. They will lie, cheat, steal, and disrespect you, but the most important thing they steal...IS YOUR TIME, and that's the worst thing you can do to a person....

I got out of my relationship by taking a job out of state. Having him think he can follow later but never gave him my new address. I have moved again to be on the safe side. He scare the hell out of me!!

I had packed my bags , called my family for help and ran out the door because I felt mentally and would eventually physically be unsafe due to my exs drinking. (I was out of state visiting him so I blocked his number at the time before I finally broke up with him for good and he didn’t know which hotel I was staying at. (trauma bond is the worst) hindsight is 20/20 and I’m still tying to not blame myself.

It’s no contact and stand on business with it- I still get harassed from random numbers (block, delete, block, delete) but they’re all empty threats. This clown saw me walking my dog, tried to run up on me and cut us off, but my dog (a pitbull) went into killa mode/made a scene, which I guess ‘embarrassed’ him so I’ve been getting a thousand since last Friday about how he’s gonna kill me and my dog 😂😂 I don’t react or even act like he existed which drives them nuts

Escape is the best. Involving family,courts,church or informing the narc can never b friendly. A narc will not understand yo emotions or needs clearly without fights or rage.Apart from being violent they can just love bond u to keep u longer and abuse u more.Lies,rage,accusations and inconsistency r their vital games.

This is what I'm afraid of. I wasn't born yet but in 1959 my grandfather shot his wife in the back of the head. Killed her. Years later he was still trying to appeal on the basis that the picture of brain matter on the kitchen wall swayed the jury (!)...well yah! I was born in 1972 yet the generational dynamic was set and here I am at 52 afraid to leave because he's threatened to destroy me financially at the very least. I'm not sure if living in abject poverty is any better than staying. Feel so stuck. I have a super high tolerance for bullsh*t yet I'm literally so exhausted part of me doesn't care what happens. How can I leave and not be destroyed by my narc or extreme poverty?

That was my biggest fear for years while he hogged and hid every cent we both earned into shell accounts. Financial abuse and control are what enslaved many of us. You won't ever see a single cent from the narcissist, trust me. Freedom of your soul is worth it. I'm not poor, but there are severe financial consequences I have to accept. It's similar to being scammed by a financial criminal, except this criminal not only holds you ransom but also hostage. Your purpose in their life is to serve as their punching bag due to their darkness. Think about gaining the couple or more decades of peace for the rest of your life.

I found I got to a point that I would rather be poor and at peace, and happy, than to continue with him in misery. I am 55 and who knows how much longer my life will be? I knew I had to make a plan when I felt I would rather die alone than with him. It has taken over a year, but my time to escape is only weeks away. Don't waste your last years of life, make a plan, escape, and find happiness!

@@paradiseacres9724 Congratulations on realizing that your life is priceless. Be very careful as you carry out your plans. It is almost certain that they will pull out the stops to hurt you as much as they can. There is no love there, ever, only rage and hatred that their worthless partner/family/friend would deign to leave. I found a reason to leave, and so glad I did, but suffered the full consequences.

They will have you in a mental prison and it’s up to you to escape. Relocating may sound extreme to some but if it’s necessary for your well being don’t feel bad for doing what’s best for you.

I think sometimes i get sad because i built a life with him that im sort of dependent on (financially, housing) and i would move in with my parent but theyve got their own issues and i feel like it isolates me. I think i need time to figure out where i go. Maybe build more safe relationships with friends

Mine used to tell me, "The only way out is death." Got out safely and now 1.5 years no contact. And yet I still find myself missing him from time to time. Wishing strength and community to anyone in this situation. It DOES get better

MY SELF-LOVE (self-knowledge, self-respect, healthy self-esteem, AND hyper-empathy too) is HOW i got away BECAUSE after 2 weeks i KNEW...SOMETHING was NOT...right!!! wasn't easy, even though it was only 2 weeks. i'm STILL...injured!!! My ex showed up unannounced on Saturday on his motorcycle, but because we live almost 4 hrs apart I let him stay the night( biggest mistake letting the devil in ever!!😢😡) he left Sunday morning, then Monday night he sent me a pic of a girl laying on his bed half naked because we got into an argument😡!!!!!!!! I truly hate him sooooooo damn much but he is indefinitely DELETED AND BLOCKED! NOMORE ABUSE

I planned my way, gave self 6 months, then 60 days in i started to visually planmy way out , drastic situation required drastic solution. I moved away 5 states in a different state, in a obscure town with no friends. Left everything except what I could fit in my car.

God sending random people to force me to leave. Such as cps. I tried to stay to keep the family together but that’s what would tear it apart if I stayed any longer. I have my children and we are out. It happened suddenly in 1 day and we have none of our stuff because I did not prepare secretly. I made it clear I was leaving if things didn’t get better but we all know that doesn’t happen unless someone else interferes and in my case forces you to leave and do it within the hour. It’s been hard but better without the abuse. I would rather live this hard life alone than add that to it. Living a shelter with my 2 under 2. It’s worth it still though

And then, in 2022 I believe he tried to have me shot by a neighbor at our beach RV when I was staying there by myself, because we were fighting, I talked about divorce, he does not want to pay me. Alimony, or give me half of the business. A guy actually shot me in the head and he arrived at 1:30 in the morning. I had to leave and get back home an hour and a half away by five y for an alibi for my kids.He was p***** off that I wasn't dead

Yes, as a person with disabilities it is much easier said than done. I had to plan divorce a year out, get a storage unit keep it quiet, than finally did what i had to do. 2yrs later my children and I are free and healing. Per the exhusband, my only way out was going to be via death. Went to police, they said they couldnt help me. So i had to do things myself.

They become more paranoid than usual and simple things like going to run an errand makes them suspicious my ex would even tell me to close the door and not go outside or to not answer the door to anyone and being that I’m legally blind I would, but it would still annoy me most of the time it was neighbors knocking on the door and he didn’t want me to talk to them because he was setting up a whole smear campaign with them in the end he was hiding in their house just so he can keep tabs on me. I am still in that process so….🤷🏻‍♀️. I am looking for some more new to move now as a result of all the BS. I’m so happy you got out of it. OK with your kids congratulations on your new life. I hope to be there very soon.

I tried to be transparent in 2017. I told him I was going to have a discussion with a divorced attorney. Stupid me. That was before I knew he was a narcissist. I thought he was just maybe schizophrenic. However, he begged me not to go see him. So I said, well I need a week to myself and go pray. I went to the beach the whole week. He was looking up how to drive me crazy. He succeeded. I didn't have a nervous break down and go to the looney. Then I just picked up a vodka every time he p***** it. P*** me off. It was more of a rebellious nervous breakdown, went to jail 3 times that year once because I barely touched him. Another because the cop he had spoken to arrested me without cause and they couldn't find body cameras each time I was drinking, he knew when I was drinking, he could poke the Bear, he would lie about my son and I would get on to my son so he accomplished a lot that year. But he hasn't finished me off yet. I'm trying to get out of here.I finally have the money for an attorney
