@@mickable3071 Not hating. Just trying to bring awareness to a very real issue. It's always so hard to decipher tone over comments. That's why I put with peace and love and the (: lol but maybe it had the opposite effect. I'm just saying it can be very detrimental to the subs, especially those unknowingly dealing with mental illness, to just say it's laziness and not even touch on the fact that a mental illness is a very real possibility.. I just think with over 1 million subs, there should be some level of responsibility held to address certain things.

@@mickable3071 They aren't hating. People deal with depression every single day, and you know what's crazy? We don't even trust therapists. We can't get help. We are stuck in our own mind. And what does society do? They make it an aesthetic. It isn't the creators fault, we are built to think a certain way. @@akuma3460 yes I know. I am a dysthymia patient aka short term depression. It’s the worst thing ever. When we have dep eps. It sometimes causes us to go away from others and not do things. I now know that this commenter meant no harm thank you so much for your reply ^^

It's ramadan and I didn't sleep properly since it started . And the two last days I only had 3hours of sleep and I am on my midterm exam period, it's very hard to keep up but reading your comment made me realize that I prefer "suffer" now than later 🤍 thank you. Have a good day/night

The thing I'm working on is Consistency. I've no problem finding inspiration but my motivation can be so short-lived & I know it's hindering my potential for growth and success. Your 'Build Trust with Self' point really resonated with me; I'd never allow another person so many opportunities to disappoint me, I shouldn't allow myself to either.

I'm working on fixing my daily routine. I adjusted my sleeping schedule and made at least one meal a day for myself. Now I'm adding in being active every day. I've tied in walking my dogs as a sort of warm-up before exercising, so I have a reason to do it other than for myself. I won't start until they get a walk and they deserve to explore and visit the park. Once I've already done that step, it's only natural to finish it out by doing my own exercise. I also like putting on a video like this to motivate me through it when I need an extra boost.

I found out that I wasted too much time spending time with someone who doesn't respect me, it seems a wake-up call that I need to invest more in myself, keep my spirits up, read more books and binge-watch movies. and also i realized that just do whatever I want, respect myself, somebody who fits me will come along (sounds like a fairy tale haha)

My nearest goal is to be the topper of the class. I'm the 27th in the class among 42 students. But I really wanna be the topper in this semester. How I wish I have the perfect answer for you but diff things work for diff people. I really would say seek professional help if it gets too much. But speaking from experience, I think about the saying "it is just a bad day, not a bad life". I try to remember all the good days and moments I've had before. Feeling empty can mean you are looking for something "missing" but I sincerely believe that all we ever need and wanted is inside of us. Actively fight the negative feelings but also rest your mind and heart once it is overwhelming. Sending virtual hugs. You'll get through it.

I just completed my Masters degree at a medical school and I had high hopes that I would get accepted into the medical school . I missed the gpa needed by 1 point and I thought I would get in but got rejected. Im struggling to get back up and reapply to other schools without feeling like a failure but this video really made me realize how far I've come and for the first time in a while I'm happy again. My goal now is to lose weight and improve on my eating habits. I am starting small right now and still a work in progress. After watching your video, I feel much more motivated and I will try to persevere. And you are right about the two mindsets. I used to be the former mindset where I think of how much more I need to get there. But now, after changing mindset, it is better to think of how far I have come and to celebrate small wins. Houa, by watching the video again you actually applied the following tips mentioned: (1) forgiving yourself; (8) focusing on the feeling; and (9) embracing imperfection and resilience. I, too, took notes but I'm going to treat my notes for this particular video differently. I'm going to refer to them repeatedly to make sure that I'm applying the gems in this video. Firstly, I cannot stress how much this means to me. Today, I've just received my tests back and to my disappointment, I've failed all of them despite putting in a lot of effort. To add on, this affected my performance during my extra curricular to the extent where I was advised to start all over from the basics. It had been a rlly difficult day for me and I just felt so lost and demoralised. Your videos bring a rlly special meaning to me. Although I'm not completely sure how I should take my steps from now on, I'm assured that I'll get back up from my setbacks really soon. Thank you so much and have a wonderful day :)

Thank you! This really helped me so much!! I journaled while watching this (I paused the video and wrote down what is my 'why', how to take baby steps...) Now I feel I can finally do this. I realized I've tried to do too much at the same time and I exhausted myself. So for now on I can take care of myself better and enjoy the process!

Great topic! What helps me get back on track again is to keep it small and easy to achieve. Even if it’s 5 or 10 minutes of movement a day, it’s still better than nothing! I like starting out with 5 or 10 minutes as my goal for the first couple weeks when I’m getting back on track again, as it’s easier to stick to and achieve. And most days I go for longer, but it’s not necessary... once I can show up for the 5-10 minutes a day, it’s much easier to start adding more time onto that in the next few weeks. 5-10 minutes is better than 0!
