Props to you for being sympathetic for the guy. It's possible he just didn't understand you were joking around and obviously was fairly intoxicated. I'm sure he regrets it, especially if he actually was banned. There is no excuse for that kind of behavior, though, and it's probably for the best that he stays banned from that server to reinforce that it's not okay.
As an Stoner Squad player myself, that guy had a bad day and that was his final drop in the glass. However this isnt an excuse to be mean to other and have this burst o rage in front of others. If you know you re down, talk about it, get help. Therapy helped me understand my emotions and how to control myself better in certain situations and moods.
yeah dude met one this guy myself ingame ofc it was ready or not and we kept telling him to get in the game and stuff and he was slurring words and as we were waiting for him he basically said some random sht and said the n word and left the vc and also made everyone confused
He was probably just trying to be an edge lord. Some people think they are funny or something, they're not necessarily down bad. They're just acting out for laughs.
Same but it was because I did a barrel roll in my heli and crashed it at the very end of a game (we won), the admins just want any reason to ban people

I was recently banned from the EGC server for asking why people are ghosting in the chat and said its obvious what is going on in here lol Then poof banned. It's all good though, the guys that run that server are clowns on a power trip anyways
I’m seeing some dismissive comments in this thread, so I want to reinforce the message from the beginning of the video. There are a lot of people who play video games as a way to escape their reality for just a minute. Folks from marginalized communities, and those who are just struggling through life at the moment, which includes a lot of people who are AD or veterans. There are a ton of folks out there, who are already carrying the weight of the world with a perspective that they don’t belong, and nobody wants them there. When they come into the spaces like squad, and they find friends and something fun and entertaining to do it can be a devastating experience to have something like this happen. You’ll never know the impact of what you’ve said on a person, but understand that you’re just adding another brick to that load they’ve got to carry through life when you say shit like this. This is the kind of shit that can lead to someone deciding to redecorate the walls and ceiling of their home with their college education. Trust me, that’s not fun for anyone. So I am employing everybody maybe just think for a second before you decide to take on the personality of a pizza cutter, and say stuff like this. Also, if you see this happen step up and say something/do something. This ban was appropriate.
@@spoopyidk I think it’s fair to point out the context in which this happened. It didn’t come out of nowhere. There also some room for discussion around what’s the most appropriate action going forward. I think I should clarify my statement on the ban, since I do believe in restorative justice. The ban was the most appropriate action to take in the moment given what happened to limit the danger and impact, since that person was inebriated and in no condition to have a conversation about it. While it was triggered by a joke that was probably inappropriate at the moment, what the response was not proportionate. I do think that they should be able to come back to the community and talk with the folks who run that server to work through what happened, why it happened and how everyone can make amends. I’d be really happy if Nikolai did reach out since he’s involved, but it’s not incumbent on him to do so since there’s no parity between the two actions that make up the incident.
@@GulfCoastGrit Well said, yes as Gulf was saying the ban was appropriate. We as admins and a Squad Community have to follow Squads Code of Conduct(CoC) and the things that he(Dino) said was breaking the CoC, therefore we had to follow the ban matrix and permanently ban him. If he ever appeals his ban we are more than happy to unban him.

Spaking of getting banned, I got perm banned in LiQ for arguing with them on main base rules - they claimed me toxic and banned me whilst overruling their established rules on the server. I'd advice against playing with them. It was 3 years ago.

I don't know what kind of universe you live in where this is common in "everday life," because I've never met these people IRL and I doubt that behavior would ever be accepted under any formal circumstances.... Is your everyday life restricted to playing Squad? In that case, maybe yes.
