Something people ALWAYS forget or done know about parrying is that in a parry combo, you can only dash once. Meaning if you parry, dash, and parry again, you can’t dash until you hit the ground. This is another reason why a lot of people die in the King Dice fight.
With Chalice, be careful of what’s in front and above you before you parry, as falling objects can and will punch you before, during, or after your parry
I also noticed that (atleast on console) depending if you are partying up or down, make sure to move your joystick in wherever the parry is, for example if it’s below, when you parry keep your left joystick down. This really helps with bosses like king dice 👍
Yea i went through most of the game with thr divine relic, i was kinds op! Then i went on to getting the golden chalice filter amd beat the devil on my first try, i was suprised because i had no practice using chalice for the devil 😂😂😂
I know this is gonna sound cocky But I think all that time I spent playing other games with parries kinda made me really good at parries I beat king dice in the third try when I realised I could just parry the cards twice
NGL the tutorial is probably the best place to practice bc in the goopy fight you have to fight through the first phase so you wont be able to consantly do it but in the tutorial theres no pause of fighting in between practicing
I completed cuphead and it's dlc back in July 2022 and November in that order but your doing a good job teaching new players or player that played cuphead on easy
@@SirPilky btw I also started a new run and I tried out the tip about like using the Astral cookie to dodge the ships attacks so another good job to that
One thing you need to know when you chain a lot of parrys is that you only have one dash (unless your ms.challis). The only way to get your dash back is by landing on a platform
for king dice i recommend restarting the level to get a new health boost level i recommend restarting up you get 2 4 and 8 also use miss chalice with crackshot and spread and the heart charm but all are good for king dice himself
@Dragon_Slayerorgins1 yeah I've tried that in the past but still tend to get hit sometimes. I've always just been personally better at parrying the cards and don't mind it too much, but to each their own! It's definitely nice not to have to worry about parrying the cards lol
@@SirPilky i was really struggling with the knight in the kings leap when i commented that like it would do its upward sword attack and i just wouldnt go for the parry. but then i came back the next day and beat it like second try XD
The only problem with the king dice fight is playing with 2p. The pause each parry makes it hard for the other to time their parry and will always get them hit everytime
For real to this day I still can't beat king dice on 2p without my partner or I having to stand behind king dice's hand while the other person does the parrying
the first time i beat king dice, i didn´t knok how to parry properly, so i brute force it reaching him at max health, and damage trough with the spread shot and 2nd super

i have 300% ed the game 5 times yet i think that im bad at the game. i literally use chalice for all bosses (not some plane bosses) her dash parry makes it so easy for me
I think I am the God at parrying I got to king dice on expert with 1hp I thought to give up but I kept going and ended up winning and got the badge beat the devil at his own game
