Couldnt agree more with the be yourself Idea, If you try to play the part of a big youtuber, you'll tire out and hate it in a few months, figure out who you are and just go from there... it's so much simpler to be yourself, and I've found people really enjoy watching someone who is "real" and unique
The maturity over the years of pewds going from “the kid who screams at games to seem funny” to the elder whos trying to give everyone else advice is amazing. This comment might get lost but been watching you since elementary this is truly amazing and you have made your mark on youtube as an ICON. Love you man
My Mom told me if I had 3 thousand Subscribers by next month she would buy me a new camera (I am being honest, I really need that) Can you help dear please thanks you very much
from my experience, clickbaiting and "offensive meming" has a higher chance of bringing a toxic fanbase to you gotta be careful at which audience you want to have, tbh i'd prefer have less subs but a chill community instead of infinite subs but hateful comments
I feel similarly. Replying to comments is easily my favourite part about RU-vid. I reply to nearly every comment i get on my videos. Knowing i wouldnt be able to do that if i grow large enough genuinely upsets me.
In Love With A Ghost Wait... are you that music composer? If so i LOVE your music ! They all have a chill, calming vibe to it. Seriously man keep up the good work.
These big RU-vidrs tell us everything except the real shortcuts they take. They buy views but keep it low key. I know this as I had a faceless channel with 100k subs. RU-vids algorithm is all based off viewer retention. If you have high retention then your video will get shown to more people in suggestions. You can literally buy 100% viewer retention views on some websites.
3:27 "the thing is people are already subscribed to the big guys, you know, they're not gonna care you about some little shit" - I burst to tears hahhahahaha
RU-vid should find a better way to promote smaller channels...perhaps, by adding a new section off the main page, asking viewers to like a video of the top 100 small channels this month. By giving smaller channels a little of the spotlight, these folks can grow, and more content creators will see a better way for them to compete against much larger channels.
I think the same thing,in this times, small channels it's almos impossible to grow up,because nobody cares about them。。。and in the same time they actually don't have any efficiency way to grow up
I think the hardest thing about being a you tuber is working so hard on something and have it not work out or not blow up and still finding the determination to get up the very next day and do it all over again. It’s kinda of like a leaping of a cliff and everyday your falling wondering if what’s meeting you down below is a soft comfy mattress or the cold hard ground
Been studying youtube videos on how to grow, grinding everyday! thank you pewds for this video and anyone reading this hope you get where you want to as long as you put in the work and put your mind to it! i wont stop 😤
And this is why you are number one, you never fail to amaze people(plus you enjoy doing what you do, and you do it with utmost seriousness). Watching your content itself is so positive You and Marz are really cool people. Love you guys!
I really appreciate the fact that you seem like you've decided to just enjoy doing RU-vid videos with the fan base you have, you've worked hard to come to that point and I admire that. Thank you for sharing some wisdom with us poodz, appreciate ya.
Zoe Clark Vlogs He's amazing! And he's really funny and ironic in front of us, while some haters say he's serious and all he cares about is money! Lol, I really believe he is an amazing person in reality, too! I love Pewds!
Hey everyone who reads this comment and every other person who is ghosting! I just wanted to say that i've been doing youtube for over 5 years now and i have 1300 subs and that you should never give up on your dreams!! Don't let your dreams be dreams and never give up hope! I will probably never even be a big youtuber, but it is just fun to do and that is all that matters, isn't that right? I hope anyone could give me a chance. That would mean the world to me! I mean it. Every subscriber is like my family. If i would make it big, i would definitely repay my community somehow. I don't know how, but i will do my best! Btw: This is my third channel. Not my first
Hi Bhai, you are Nepali and you might be interested in Gaming... I make funny videos and I'll support you too. Just make sure you watch my videos coz I'm sure they will make you laugh. Thanks bro, and btw today is my birthday :)
Sharkdiver345 That's another thing. Depending on the type of channel, you may not see much growth. There may be only a thousand or ten thousand or a hundred thousand people who may care for a given channel or genre for that period of time. For instance, my random content channel sees a lot less viewers than my technology or parody channels. What all have you done on RU-vid? And what all do you still want to do?
Oliver Stewart Thanks, although I was implying that humility can often be mistaken for lack of experience or knowledge. I suppose that may not be clear, however.
I have been working my ass off editing and getting content for my channel and this video really helped me prioritize what I need to do to grow my channel! Thanks so much pewds!
Thank You for this video, Felix!! Getting advice from the top RU-vidr is very helpful and it lets us know you care. I am trying to create a channel, and using your tips is REALLY going to help!!
this video helped me alot ngl i mean yeh my channel maybe small but i just loved makin videos and hanging out with the community the tip is just have fun do what you want you will eventually grow
Very true.. it’s stressful at first. I just started my channel after thinking about it for years! Just gotta do it. Also I’m doing a $1k giveaway when we hit 1k subs!
@@laughlikecharlie9040 U need to upload more, try every day or 3-4 times a week then u will grow better. I just passed today 1000 subs but I upload sometimes everyday.
Thumbnails are definitely my favorite part of You Tube, I feel like making videos for me at least is divided into three different sections that all have different ways in which you can express yourself like recording videos, editing videos, and making thumbnails. When you record you can change the inflection of your voice, read jokes, improv, or even do ASMR, then when you're done with that you can edit memes into the video or make perfectly cut screams. Then you can mess around in a photo editing program like photoshop and make a really nice thumbnail that has your personality in it, I just feel like it really puts the cherry on top to finally upload the thumbnail and then you can sit back and watch yourself. There is a fourth section that I refer to as "Regret"
These videos are honestly so helpful so thank you to finally making them. Personally, I'm too embarrassed to ask people to subscribe, so I just ask people to turn on notifications if they want to subscribe
It seems pretty fake and disingenuous to ask people to subscribe but, as Pewds said, it really does work. Sometimes people will watch a video but forget to sub, asking them to is a good reminder that will convince them to sub. Also, the more you practice doing it, the easier it gets. I hated it at first too but i doesnt feel as shitty anymore
What PewDiePie is teaching really does work, I've actually made over 100k on youtube without even creating videos. It's pretty simple actually, it comes down to using the right videos with a special license and using the right thumbnails, titles, and tags. I actually have a ton of videos teaching how to do this if anyone is interested, but yeah thanks for making the video PewDie it was great!!
I know this video is old but I definitely felt this. I'm trying so hard to get my channel to grow and display my artwork out there for others to see and buy, but I'm kind of at a loss at what to do. This is one of the few videos that gave useful advice.
*"I'm rooting for you buddy"* It means so much to me thank youu. I'll take all your words and continue to work hard.. i'll do my best to improve and hopefully be able to inspire people like u💖
@@bubblewrap324 halaa thank youu🙀 Sana mag enjoy ka sa channel ko. Sayang walang mga chat eme na features tong yt pero let me know kung anong mga klaseng video ang gusto mong mapanuod 😁💖
I love that you do this sort of stuff, and it really does help, either through giving new knowledge or reinforcing the ideas that are already in my head. So thanks for this!
Hey everyone who reads this comment and every one else who is ghosting! I just wanted to say that i've been doing youtube for over 5 years now and i have 1300 subs and that you should never give up on your dreams!! Don't let your dreams be dreams!! Let them be real! Let them be your Wonderland or your worst nightmare? Nah don't do that. I will probably never even be a big youtuber, but it is just fun to do and that is all that matters, isn't that right? I hope anyone could give me a chance. That would mean the world to me and i will suck your cock! At my farm!! You probably get this stupid joke anyway😂😂
I like pewdiepie when hes serious and helpful. Its entertaining when he starts screaming into his mic and being scarcastic but like when hes serious you can see the other side of him.

My way as a new small shity RU-vidr: Don't care that much about subs, likes and views. Care about your content and the most important: be happy with making videos. The rest is just a consequence of that. 🎥=❤️

This really felt like advice from a big brother who cares about you but also doesn't mind roasting you along the way. 🤣 Defos appreciate the advice to just do what you love cos then you can't lose. ✌🏻 cheers!
This is really helpful for a guys like me who's just starting on my YT channel. Thx PewDiePie for the awesome advise. I will sure to keep all of it in mind.
Felix, getting big on RU-vid IS a business and I love that you approach it as such. It takes sacrifice and creativity as input in order to produce a product that is in demand. KEEP MAKING THESE VIDEOS. They're so interesting and probably helpful to many young entrepreneurs.
I always found Interaction with my audience has been one of the biggest factors that has helped my channel get to where it is today. If someone has taken the time to watch, like, and comment, then so should the creator!
It’s interesting watching this video I’d probably never watch if I didn’t want to become a RU-vidr however I appreciate the delivery and hit subscribe based on personality so that tells me being yourself is vital
I’m going to be extremely real here. This is really good advice. I think it’s more important for people to grow their channels organically. Growing a real fan base (real supporters) is key in the future to sustain success on YT. I’m a small channel so far and I try to think outside of the box when I create my videos. Each new subscriber I feel I earned from the hard work i put in. Good video man.
Pewds- by reacting to my diss track you got me my first thousand subs in the last 5 days! So I'm eternally grateful to you, and I'm lucky that you posted this right as I'm going through this myself! :D

I thought it was particularly interesting how he explained trying new things. Most "how to" videos tell you to stay "consistent" regarding the content you put out. But I think that consistency can often become limiting after some time. New editing styles, genres, thumbnail designs, etc can spark creativity and open up new doors in ways that may lead to channel growth :) definitely keeping his advice in mind!
PewDiePie is great entertainment, just dont rely on him to grow your channel. There are channels out there focused on teaching you how to get the most out of youtube channel
Yeah totally agree dude! Been subbed since 400,000 :P I mean personally I'm not fussed about the growth of my channel, but his tips will help me create better content, and that's what I wanna do :) Give back to the people who take the time out of their day to watch, you know?
I am really trying with my channel. I have been at it for 3 years. Others in my niche are super popular and I’m just not growing. Thank you for the tips.
Is it good buddhist karma to asocciate your body with a hell worlds and violence in the video forever, considering that youtube and it's audience it is a huge karmic catalyst/accelerator. What do you think, guys? This argument keeps me away from youtube-gaming-streaming.
Tq for the tips that you have shared, I'm a new RU-vidr, just 2 months. Will try everything that you have said, let see how it goes. I admire your job bro. Keep it up and looking forward
