Getting breakfast on a Sunday morning at the Pape'ete markets is a ritual for Tahitian locals - our tour guide Kahu Kaiha shows us some of his fave foods and recommendations so you can eat like a local too!

And what happened to authentic Tahitian food? This is what’s disappointing about my visit there. Asked locals where I can get some good local authentic Tahitian food and they pointed me to go to the food trucks that served less than mediocre Chinese food. I asked a local taxi driver (who drove us to the airport) why there’s no local authentic Tahitian food and her response was “it’s too hard to cook”. That’s just too bad…Good island food is so hard to pass up and I know for a fact tourist will give any authentic local food a try. Wake up, Tahiti! Embrace your culture! The French completely diluted your culture! F*ckU, France!
