I have been using this video for about 5 or 6 times. My hair quantity and texture has improved to a degree that I did not know was possible. Please continue to share. You are very talented. I absolutely love keeping chemicals off of my hair.
Oh yeah henna and herbs will thicken up hair. I’m sitting with henna on my temples and sideburns right now to dye gray. I sometimes use henna without cassia and indigo and just see how the orange or red my gray temple comes out. If I do not like it I’ll mix indigo next time. I always add Amla and aloe as well. Sometime flax seed gel or powder for moisture and slip. Thank you very good and clear instructions. Some of the best I seen here on RU-vid it came out beautiful. Very natural
I tried the two step procedure today and the result is amazingly good... yesterday i applied henna and I got orange shade...today i applied indigo and almost(99percent) grey/orange hairs have turned black ...this is the first time i hv used indigo..i m happy with the results..thank u for the video... only thing i didn't like about the indigo was its smell.
Hello -thanks for sharing such useful information on hair care. I am an Indian using chemical based color for a long time now for my grey roots. I recently tried switching to henna and indigo over last few weeks and somehow my hair gets a orange tone and no change with indigo is seen. I am looking for a darker brown shade. I have tried both two step and one step combination of henna and indigo typically not adding any other ingredient. Do help me understand the right proportions for a single step application and what other ingredients would be recommended for a darkest brown color. Any help is appreciated. Thanks once again!
Hi, tq for your sharings. The end result is so natural and beautiful. I would like to try to do this too. May I know if cassia powder is same as senna leaf powder? Tq in advance.
I have a traumatic brain injury and thought that I did this twice yet both times I missed something. I am following step by step with assistance today. I am curious. If my hair comes out too dark, what should I do?
Always start with less indigo. Go first with light color. Also do a strand test. Then see how you like it. The more you do the more dark it becomes as it builds up.
You said 1 tablespoon of Amla powder but you actually did 2. Also you mentioned using 1 tsp of another ingredient but didn’t change spoons. Just curious on getting the right amount. I want to get the correct amounts
She has got brown hair with orange at the end. How to avoide this orange shade and get pure cold brown? Can it be done without henna, but with only cassia, amla and indigo in some ratio (and which is this ratio for every plant)? Thanks.
Hello, can you show us how to paint a black hair into blonde?, i have dark brown virgin hair and i would like to see how much can i lighten it with henna 🙏🏻
Hi!! thank you so much for this helpful video! I have a medium brown hair with highlights on my tips , I would like to cover only my gray roots hair and stay VERY away from the red!!!! I wouldn't like any red!!! what portions should I use??? Thank you!!!
Hi thank you for uploading videos like this you help us a lot , Please advise alternative for aloe Vera powder as it is not available in our region. Also is it ok to put yogurt?
No do not put yogurt. Do you have aloe vera plant ? Or pure aloe vera gel nearby ? You can add gel too double in quantity. Or you can add few drops of tea tree essential oil. It helps. After you wash with plain water. You can also put few drops of coconut or hair oil in damp hair like serum. Yogurt is good but it will not give good color.
I have 80 percent gray and want medium brown not dark. I did wrong and use more indigo, just saw you video 😔 I applied 20g indigo and 10g henna for my root. 20 g indigo, 30g henna, 10g amla for rest of my hair. it’s very dark brown almost black. also root color gone after 1 week. What percentage of henna and indigo do you recommend for me to get ride of the black and make nice brown color?
Try 1-step with henna snd indigo. So you need toh make a paste with henna 30% with 5-10% amla snd 1 tsp aloe vera powder. Mix all with warm (not hot) tea water and wait for dye release 3-4 hrs. Then just before you want to apply mix indigo 70 % with just warm water and make paste. Same time mix both the henna paste and indigo paste together and apply instantly . Keep on hair for atleast 4 hrs. Wash with just water. Shampoo and conditioner after 2-3days.
@@HennaStyles You made me surprised, thanks for response. I thought did wrong with used indigo, but you recommend 70%too. For make sure, I want lighter color than now.
Start with 50% henna and 50% indigo with amla and aloe first. If you want darker then more indigo. You can try a strand test. Adding cassia will give more brown than red tone.
I will do a strand test first. My question is does the mixture for my whole head keep and for how long? Or should I just mix a small amount for a strand test?
Ok, I did a strand test and followed your instructions in the video. My hair is 100% gray. It did not color my hair. The only thing I noticed that was different was my cassia and henna did not change colors after 3 1/2 hours. My distilled water wasn’t too hot and I added ACV. not sure what to do next. Any help is appreciated.
@@HennaStyles I just used henna and indigo from the instructions in this video and it turned out beautifully! I didn't have any cassia but it still turned out well. My hair is so shiny and almost exactly like the colour you show. Thanks for the great video
Hi, I have grown out bleached blond hair and my roots are a dark blond/Light brown. I would like to get a copperish brown color. How mocht henna, cassia and indigo should I use?
Try 40-30-20-10 henna-cassia-indigo-amla powder. Do a strand test first. Watch this too - Henna/indigo/cassia on blonde/grey hair ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dF4erNaTDK0.html
Hi I have watched your video. My question is my hair is highlighted since 1 and half years so is this process make any disaster on my hair or I can safely do this process ? Please help me with this
Whether it is not right step to oiling hair before using shampoo in henna and indigo appling in 2 step process? If not then what is the remidey? becauuse after the application the hair becomes dry
My hair colour is very very dark brown almost equal to black but not jet black n have many white hairs like 45 % so what quantity should i use n the products? 200 gm henna,100 gm indigo,70 gm amla powder,50 gm alovera powder n for Indigo i should soak it in anothe utensil for 1 hour n others for overnight n then mix them n apply for 3 hours I am a man so quantity required will be less!!
Use 50 gm henna 50 gm indigo 1 tbsp alma and 1 tsp aloe powder. This is because i am assuming you have short hair length. Henna with amla and aloe sock for 2-3 hrs in warm tea water and indigo soak just 10 mins before you want to apply.
@@HennaStyles but if I have good amount of white hair then i should double the dosage of indigo? But u are telling to use same quantity n for the water how much quantity should i use?
@@HennaStyles one more thing to add here,i had applied the indigo of Tansukh company but the indigo is not very fine powdered like the henaa so,after adding water still it remains a little powdered n i use normal that's why the colour goes away easily!
Hi Priyanka i user to use Schwarzkopf henna avialable in sydney. Suddenly i decided 2 switch 2 color permanent and did highlights with bleach ..now.i have bit blonde gold tones ..base black.permanent.color. i.also have greys coming back. One part of hair is greenish tinge. How can i go back 2 henna.now pleaee? My hairstylist sayd I should never use henna its very harmful. I dont want 2 get into vicious cycle of hair color after every 3 ro 4 weeks. I DIDNT MIND HENNA THOUGH. PLEASE HELP.
Henna is a plant, all natural. You can switch between the henna and colors when ever you want. I do my highlights often and also do henna. Never a problem.
Why it becomes red not golden brown shade like her hair i watch another video for you and you mix all these ingredients and it becomes a beautiful brown shade
My hair is naturally black color with a white color at the front, iam only 30 year old!! 😭 I wish to have a shiny brown color , how can? Waiting for your reply. Many thanks
I will highly recommend this natural way of colouring hair. Please try henna, cassia and indigo with herbs. Video here for various shades ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dF4erNaTDK0.html
What ratio do you recommend of henna, cassia and indigo to get medium auburn. It looked like the video showed 1 tablespoon of indigo. However, it’s hard to tell if you are using a tablespoon or teaspoon. Any help is appreciated!

I have got greys, but every time when I put only pinch of henna they turned red (even with more cassia then henna and indigo in mix). Can I mix cassia and indigo only, without henna (more cassia then indigo 4/1 ratio)? Will it cover my grays in some light brown colour? Thanks.
@@HennaStyles please tell me can we put some other herbs/powders in cassia-henna mix or in indigo? Shikakai, brahmi, bringraj powders? They are very good for hair too...some of them can wash hair, too. Would they change final colour on hair?
I always add herbs in my henna - specially aloe vera, amla and hubiscus. You can add other too but not a lot as it will affect the color. In indigo add aloe vera always and nothing else.
I am from Guyana I love your colour I am trying for years to get a colour like that I will buy the product and do my hair thank you can you email me your product name or any brand I can buy that you
