Here's my thinking, keep going with your already established LinkedIn profile. * You've worked to establish yourself and there's no need to toss that out. * Your existing connections might become clients for your new venture * LinkedIn rewards consistency and "time in the game" * You might lose some connections. So what. Let them go. Make sure you close out your old business on your profile by having an "end date" for the time you had that business. In your work history, go into great detail about the new business and have a start date to present Create a *new* LinkedIn business page for the new business and on the old business page, let people know that you have moved on from that business. Provide a link to the new business page. Get busy creating great content for the new business. Let me know if you have more questions. -C

Some people advised me to create another LinkedIn for my career and one for my business. I honestly feel like that would be too time consuming. I work as a Brand Strategist but my career of over ten years is as an educator working with children who have special needs. I am specializing for my degree as a Behavior Intervention Specialist. It is vital for me to share these qualifications on my LinkedIn account. Would it be a bad idea to share my expertise in these areas in the same LinkedIn account?
