Thanks for the video! I'd like to add that commenting can also play a major role in engaging with your network. Ive been commenting on LinkedIn and it has been a game changer
Hi, I'm a Brazilian and your video's very important for me, because don't have a lot of video about LinkedIn platform how to use on my country, so yeah, thanks for everything. Now, I'm your new subscribed.
Thank you so much for this! Honestly posting on linked feels so different and a little intimidating for me. Watching this helped me see it’s not all that bad lol. I’m excited to apply this advice 🙌🏾🙌🏾
Thanks for sharing all of these amazing tips - I'll definitely be making use of them all! The PDF carousel recommendation was particularly interesting and isn't something that I've seen being used in a creative way in my LinkedIn feed. Usually, I just see existing PDF documents being lazily uploaded within a post, in a format that doesn't really work well when they're read on mobile devices. So your advice on creating bespoke PDF content using large text and step-by-step swipe breadcrumbs is genius. So, regarding carousels... LinkedIn, like Twitter, also allows people to post image carousels which adapt in format depending on which device people are accessing the content from... So what are the benefits of using a PDF doc instead of a regular image file carousel? Does LinkedIn have the ability to scan text within a PDF carousel and include the post in search results? Thanks again for the great suggestions. Keep 'em coming!
Sorry... Another question... You recommend focusing on Posts rather than longer form Articles. I like the formatting options that Articles offer users (header image, bold/italic text formatting, embedded objects like Tweets or RU-vid videos, quoted text, hyperlinks, subheading styles, etc. Visually, LinkedIn Articles look more appealing when creating longform blog content. So my question is... Does LinkedIn index Articles differently to Posts when people use the search feature? Also, my understanding was that Articles posted can be linked to outside of LinkedIn and easily embedded on websites. Is that still the case? Again, sorry for the long comments that I've been posting here... You've got me thinking about things in a very different (but Good) way!
Hi Rax, glad you found this helpful. Regarding your ? - LinkedIn requires you to upload a PDF in order to make it a carousel. If you upload images it will just look like a normal image upload - not a document /carousel upload.
Thank you for this! The video recommendation popped up at the right time. You broke it down into very digestable pieces. I got alot of value from this. Thanks
I got on LinkedIn to find work & make connections, so I'm not a marketer or person selling a good or service, but I still want engagement & connections. My posts are getting impressions but no engagement. I used hashtags & I even joined a specific group for something I'm interested in...but still zero engagement.
What if I'm wanting post a blog post from someone else? I could link it but I know that LinkedIn wants users to stay on their platform. How do I get around this?
You would then want to put the link to the blog post in the comments. So you can post a quick blurb/summary about the post and then the call to action at the end can say something like, "Check out the full blog post by clicking the link in the comments"
This is a great video. Lot of similar videos offer pretty much same points however you did offer something more. Some of the points you have shared , I have personally seen in the past that it works. Keep up the good work.
Trying to follow your instructions on posting, we put the link in a comment, but I can't figure out how to pin the comment so it stays at the top of the comments. LinkedIn instructions say there should be a more function in the top right corner of my author's comment but the ellipses there only gives options to Edit Delete
What about posting the blog in LinkedIn and then repurposing them into posts. Example. Create a theme for the week. Post text based posts then at the end of the week post the whole article?
