This made me think about Life's A Beach, it was a streetwear brand that did this way back in the day sponsoring Mark Gonzalez, they are long gone and now and a renewed cash grab brand that can't find a place, the clothing is lacking creativity but I'm a diehard fan still till this day I buy there clothing. After 30 or so years lol I was happy they are back even if not the same...

5:58 I would like to stay that it’s better to say “nothing is Original” than unique. I remember I was in a class that talked about this subject. One can create very unique designs, like what I am trying to do, but everything has been done before, hence nothing is “original”.

I couldn't tell you how many times I've seen a piece and loved everything but one or two details, to the point where I considered buying and altering it myself. I also appreciate the point that nothing in fashion is unique. Actually Ralph worked for Brook's Brothers. Which exposed him to all kinds of inter workings of the fashion business. In a way he used what Brooks did and made an extension of it with his eponymous label.
