In today's video, I'm spilling the beans on my personal techniques for how to get faster at inking. While I admit I don't always stick to this method, when I do, it works wonders for workflow and productivity. I start by breaking down the drawing into its key elements, and analyzing the whole piece before diving into the details.
The magic lies in starting large and working your way down to smaller details. By focusing on contours and blocking out black areas, I can create a sense of accomplishment in a shorter time frame. It's like a mind trick that keeps me excited and motivated.
In a time-lapse of the inking process, I show how, I outline the entire figure, achieving a substantial amount of progress. While it might not actually be faster, the perception of speed keeps the creative momentum going.
So, if you've ever felt bogged down by the enormity of a page, give this technique a shot! Let me know in the comments if you found these tips helpful, and don't forget to like and subscribe

Any tutorial on how to use line weight? Most stuff I ink is the same lineweight or no lineweight bc the edges are softer.

Hey, thanks for the question. I do have a video on the basics of line weight. Check it out here if you'd like: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7og9Ym6Nvt4.html Also, look into your pen pressure settings in Clip Studio Paint as well as your tablet. Be aware that each pen/brush has pressure sensitivity settings as well. If your line edges are "softer" perhaps try adjusting the anti-alias or better yet change your inking layer setting to "monochrome." That's what I always have my inking layers set to. I really hope this helps out.
