Hello Promzy, I just read on the German embassy website in Ghana that, the sponsor of the formal Obligatory letter must submit the request in person at the German embassy in Accra. Does it mean the person can’t do it in Germany and later send it to you

Can the host who did the letter of obligation changed or transferred to another person after getting the visa and have not traveled to Germany yet? If not what about after getting there?

I think it can be changed Because once you have the visa and you are in the country a lot can be changed

Please promzy , If the One giving you the formal obligation letter has been given a partial obligatory letter, can that same person be able to sponsor the other half for you through blocked account or it must be someone different?

I needed this letter to proceed with my visa last year when I had two admissions in economics and international business..... Any avenue for such letter provision... Because using the block account this year too will be a challenge

It depends on the city they are applying in. 1-3 months or 3 weeks sometimes

Tanx promzy ❤️ I have a friend who just traveled to Germany to work at one of the Tech companies in Berlin. He has his EU blue card and all that. I would like to know if he qualifies to sign the obligatory letter for me or he has to stay in Germany for some period of time. And wat is the permanent residence. Can you differentiate between the permanent residence and settlement permit for me . 🙏

There is a different between the two. I think 🤔 a blue card hold might be able to do it for you. He just has to try. After all there is no harm in trying.

Hi, my formal obligation letter was sent to me via post but it’s delayed and I’m yet to receive it. My interview date is approaching and all I have is the emailed version of the Verpflichtungserklarung. Can I print and send it to the interview? The tracking of the original document has ended which means it’s probably missing and won’t make it to Ghana.

All documents sent to the embassy must be the original and two copies each as stated on their embassy. So if you take an emailed printed one you do that at your own risk

I know usually you dont have to go with a blcked account. But in some cases people with scholarship from Ghana are asked to come with blocked account. But i think in must cases you dont. but at the end it is the embassy that will decide

Hello Promzy, mine is a weird question. So if this person signs the obligatory letter for me, and instead when I come to Germany , I use my own funds to live during the study will that be a problem or I need to show that the person is sponsoring me?

Thanks Promzy.. When you present the obligation letter at the embassy,are you supposed to add his bank statements as well?..or just the letter alone is enough.. Moreover how long does it take to process the obligation letter. And finally,can the person scan the letter and send it to u so that u print it and take it along to the embassy Kindly attend to these questions for me.. Thanks man.

Hello *You send only the letter *The process shouldn’t be more than a month. But if you know you will use formal Obligation inform the person early. Because getting appointment at immigration office here in Germany can be a lil stressful esp in this corona times. * And no you can’t scan it. It should be the original copy.
