Regarding Amazon affiliate marketing, I signed up but during the review process they said that I can not have an account because my RU-vid account has to have a few hundred subscribers first. Just stumbled on this video, I've been reviewing for a year or so, it started as a college product and it's a great way to gain free products/help companies with reviews. Been receiving hundreds and hundreds of products, deliveries everyday. Amazon's policy has changed in the US and they aren't allowing free products in exchange for reviews unless it's through their own 'Vine' service. I live in the UK and the policy is due to come here but a lot of companies still do it so it shouldn't be too much of a problem. Only problem is, the more people who review are going to be noticed in the reviews on Amazon meaning Amazon will slowly clamp down more on the reviewing as a lot of members post unbiased 5 star reviews and it's unfair on actual customers. Good thing to get into though if you do it properly and hopefully it'll stay in their policy.

It's also a lot easier than this. Write a pitch to start out saying who you are, what your intentions are etc. and just copy and paste it to companies on Amazon with your profile link and just wait for replies. That's how I got my first 200 or so products and it takes less than 5 mins.

Not true at all. I've posted many negative reviews and still have companies sending me their stuff - most of them actually value what you DIDN'T LIKE about their products and they make changes to improve future products as well. If you're part of the Amazon Vine program, it makes no difference at all whether you post a positive or negative review - so long as it's honest and insightful.

Amazon changed its reviewer policy a couple of weeks ago. Sites like AMZ Review Trader and all others are no longer allowed to offer items for free or at a discount in exchange for reviews and people are not allowed to post a review in exchange for a product they received for free or at a discount in exchange for a review. AMZ Review Trader has even had to change its name along with the other review sites. They still offer products but the discount isn't very much and the selection is very low. Only top reviewers will be selected because there is absolutely no obligation to leave a review. These sites are now known as "discount sites'.

Went to the AMZ site and signed up. Unfortunately the prices for everything I looked at were prices I could already buy the products for. They would say 50% of but I know the product and they are charging full price. And I saw nothing for free. Looked through about 300 products and signed up for 2 (that I would have bought anyway). The rest were just full price from what I could tell.

You took the words rite out my mouth. If anybody thinks its worth wasting time jumping on a lazy affiliate idea then your not going to get much in return if its being done from the hopes of FREE sample packs and random review affiliated systems. You firstly need an already active enough channel number of subscribers to even feel like its generating enough to waste time on. Even this video had to be made up just to get his affiliation links clicked lol.. So what does that say.

I bought a TV from Amazon and unboxed it, and someone in my town bought one through my affiliate link, and a couple of days later, Amazon closed my affiliate account saying my channel was too small. How can they do that? It does not seem fair at all. How big do I need to be?

Techno Dad you generally need between 500-1000 subs to get approved to be an Amazon Affiliate. Or you can just build a website and get approved regardless of subscriber count. That's what I did after not getting approved the first couple times.
