I use freecad for CAM and Onshape for CAD. step files are exported from Onshape and imported into FreeCad for doing the CAM. This workflow suits me, however I do miss the nifty tool path options given by fusion 360

When I go to download it it downloads and then when I go to install, it says this version is no longer supported. I don’t know what to do from here. I just use it for personal and hobby reasons. I don’t know what to do. I am new to 3-D printing and I need a program similar like this that I can use.

isn't there any portable version so I can install it on different drive, default installation is on C drive and I don't want that

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe recently Autodesk changed the free personal license of Fusion 360 to only last for 3 years. I'm not sure when this happened, but likely after this video was made. In their FAQ page for the free personal license, the answer to the question asking if it's still free for hobbyists or for personal use is: "Fusion 360 for personal use, formerly known as Fusion 360 for hobbyist use, is free for qualifying non-commercial users as a 3-year subscription." But then in their general FAQ, they say that "Autodesk Fusion 360 is free for hobbyists, non-commercial use, and for qualifying startups." Maybe you can renew your license once 3 years is up?

Their new license page no longer says that the free personal license can be renewed. Mine is about to expire soon, and I'm slowly freaking out! Can anyone please clarify whether the free personal license can be renewed after 3 years, as it was the case before? Thanks.

My personal license expired 2 days ago, and it's not being renewed after following steps for getting f360 for personal use. After fresh download it says I've got regular 30 day trial. I guess when it expires most of functions would be blocked.

@@blackredroll Quick update: it worked for me after I went through the renewal procedure following the license expiration. But it turns out you need to click the download button at the end of the process even though you didn't need to install it again.

Thanks for this but I've just downloaded the free version for personal use and after opening it and signing in I'm being asked to create a team or join and existing team. What's that all about? It asks "If your email address is part of a public or educational organisation, it is usually best to create your own team so you control your own work environment". My email address isn't part of such an organisation. I'm lost as to what to do now.

My 30 day trial ran out and I cannot find anywhere on the website that the free version is still available. It lets me download the program under the "free for individual...." but when it starts Fusion it won't let me save a design and it still says, "Expired Subscribe Now." It doesn't seem to be free anymore. Am I thinking right?

There's 3 year limit to personal use license, that's maybe why you get regular 30 day trial. I have the same issue. Looking for workaround.

Same issue as Sumeet. I had the educational version which has expired and I am no longer eligible for that so trying to go personal but it says trial 30 days left. It did say to log out and it may take 30 minutes but its been over 6 hours and still showing as 30 day trial. Any help. Thank you. Maybe I should have left it at the expired education version, still seemed to work. :(

I may have the answer, worked for me just now. Log out of fusion 360 in the software/app AND in your browsers. Both of mine auto signed in. I used an alternate email account and created a new personal account like the video. Visit the link and register but when it says download do not bother (assuming its upto date). Signin with the new email/password a few welcome messages and it now shows personal. This may not work if you need to recover works in progress though. Hope this helps someone.

Hi folks, I am looking for a good app to help me design a 3D shape made from octogonal frustums and that gives me the volume. Simple to use would be welcome. what happens if i use this to make money, but its about $20 a month at most? is this against the free use license and does this require the full features of f360? because all i do is print small stuff with my fdm printer for friends, and they often will pay for the filament used (so i dont make much profit). i dont need the other options and the limited version has all i need and more

This is what they say on the website (I am currently downloading Fusion360): "Fusion 360 for personal use is a limited, free version that includes basic functionality for qualifying users who generate less than $1,000 USD in annual revenue and use for home-based, non-commercial projects only."

Thank you for this. The UK site sucks and its way more difficult to find this download. EDIT: My OS no longer supports the latest version of Fusion and there's no way to upgrade the OS without buying a newer computer. I don't have the money for that.
