I actually am like this girl. My pronunciation is okay but I admit my vocabulary is not too vast so I tend to repeat my answers, too often. I think I focus too much on my pronunciation. Good thing I watch this video. I guess I need to practice more.
@@yongchingping8025 What about this sentence ‘I really am sorry’ I saw it before. really and actually are adverbs, right? Then why can’t I use ‘am’ in this situation? Btw, thank you for your reply.
@@user-lt7om9ho4t It is because 'am', 'is' and 'are' are present simple of 'be' verb. We must say "I am actually happy.", not "I actually am happy." Obviosly, "be" must be followed with an object(pronoun/noun).
Before I always thought that the confidence is shown through having fast speech but via this video clip I knew I got it wrong. She speaks slowly but quite fluently and good pronunciation. I'm happy to watch this and hopefully learn something from her
She speaks naturally. She's quite fluent, some hesitations. Her vocabulary is not too strong but good enough. Some small grammar errors and pronunciation is quite good. Keep practicing! I think she'll get 7.0 or higher in the future!
I just got 6.5 on my trial exam but my sentences were way longer. Sometimes I just rambled because of my social anxiety... Guuuysssssss!!!!!! I just scored 8! I mean 8! I am still in shock😂 Can't believe it! Wanna say thanks to that kind of channels that help me to improve my speaking skills and correct my mistakes. Thank you a lot 💕
@@SARMY7 I just was learning idioms and watching "speaking exam videos" like this one. Also talking with my teacher and practicing speaking with her helped a lot. Oh, and if u will watch some movies in English of course, it will extremely influence your speaking and listening too. Actually, speaking is easier than all the other exams. Yeah, I guess that's it. Just have a desire to speak and let your mouth speak on its own. Try not to think. At least that is how it works for me. Even if u can't without thinking then think only in English. Stop trying to translate from your native language. I'm done here😂 Good luck to u all guys💚🌟
@@fuzzyredponcho Well, I'm attending IELTS courses. But my pronunciation was always correct. That's cause I used to watch cartoons on CDs when I was a child. At least I think that's the reason why my pronunciation is as good as a native speaker. Anyways, I wrote everything in replies in a comment below. Sorry if I have some mistakes while writing, I just wanna go sleep😩 Good luck by the way🍀💙
the point is about your patterns, should expand more about 2 sentences, and 4 should be maximum numbers, could be like this, first sentence for the quick answer, next one to explain, and you finish with one practical example. At least these are the multiple steps help me surpass part 1,and lead me to more ideas to expose for part 2,I got 7.5 for speaking in 2019.

This makes me think it's super easy to get 6.5 band. Some people said pronunciation is a big plus. Then I wonder if it is a speaking test or pronunciation test. I thought they also focus on vocab, grammar, and even confidence as well as pronunciation. But this is easier than I ever imagine. Btw, if pronunciation is the most important thing of this test, then I'll focus more on it and care less about other things.
Part 1: Answers mostly short and repetitive at times, like the question about her favourite type of shopping. She needs to give examples in other questions and improve her coherence. Part 2: She had quite a number of grammatical mistakes which fortunately didn’t affect her content but she needs a stronger link between points she’s talking about. She cannot just say ‘she doesn’t need to think about her outfit that much’ as the reason she likes wearing dresses. That is one of the reasons the examiner asked her to speak a bit longer (which is bad) Part 3: Again very few examples given. She could easily have given one about teenagers who are more fashionable than her. She didn’t actually answer the second question and grammatical mistakes present again. Last question a bit misinterpreted. Maybe because she’s Thai she got 6.5 but in other countries where the English level is higher, a 6.5 is impossible for her. She cannot really speak at length. Fluency 6 Lexical resource 5-6 (likely 5) Grammar 6 Pronunciation 6 Overall 5.5 to 6 but definitely not 6.5
I got the same score as her, but to be honest, she did quite better than I did, especially in term of pronunciation, pacing and she look confident. Plan to take another test, I need to practice a lot more T T
whether dose the examiner ask too fast? I think, he should set his question a bit slowly because maybe the participant can be confused when she is in the room test
I have only one suggestion to give you guys Let your mouth speak the way it wants , don't try to add up idioms and vocabulary forcefully while speaking because this is only reason people get stuck .
I thinks pronunciation is not a matter but her answer in Part3 is little bit like off-topic he asked what power do fashion industry have in your country. so you need to explain how fashion companies or any relative influence to young people in your country. and also second question is about diffrence between young and old . but she talked only name of different country. she has to talk about tendency or preference that old or younger people have. and explain whats different.
her answers need to be more detailed as well as she just leaves the examiner hanging all the time and nod her head whenever she is done with the question. In addition, she repeats herself for multiple times as well as i feel like she doesn't know what she is talking about... 6.5 is way too generous for this performance imo.
I've planned to take an ielts exam. To be honest at first I thought my English isn't that bad for me it's quite good but after I've watched this video I just realized that I'm so far from good and have to practice more so after that I hope it will be better (I also just realized that I have very few vocabulary in my brain T0T) it's not enough for get band6.5 by the way my dream college need band6 though Thank you for make this useful video!❤️❤️
and also last question she mentioend about environment and waste. then she should finish it with plans or what companies doing rigtht now to prevent it
If I am the one doing the test, I might got only 2 score on speaking. I'm so bad I can't even talk about my opinion in my own language with those questions :(
yes, of course, you can. This isn't an interview rather a way to judge your communication skills so making others comfortable and yourself will play as an advantage for you.
