THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I removed my battery to buy a new one from my 2000 C280 Sport and a friend trying to be helpful manually locked every door not knowing my valet key doesn't work. I have been locked out of my car for weeks now so after work I'm going to run home and try this immediately.
By being rushy, my 2005 Mercedes S500 FOB Key was left locked in the switch switched (turned in the start position). Only the trunk can be opened with the mechanical blade key, not the driver's door. How can I handle that situation? Please advice. I advance my thanks!
Franco, I’m not 100% sure about that one. Might need someone to use one of those air wedges to make a gap in your door and then a metal rod to reach the unlock button. That’s all I can really think of. Best of luck.
Thanks a lot, Justin! I wasn't confident you had a solution to a problem I had spent way too much time, effort and anxiety to solve. I didn't even have to put my finger up inside, simply pushing the lock cylinder out of the way made it pop open. Awesome! Thanks again!
Erick, that’s a great question, there were some clips under it but I’m not exactly sure how to get them off without braking the darn thing. If you’re able to do it please let us know!
No screws on mine lol had to cut out the back panel to the arm rest And got my keys out in the boot early fixed orderd some black leather stapled to a bit af hard bord and pushed it back in place now it's easy to open if needed again hopefully not . Thanks for your video
Dang, you must have a different model? The CL500 has a fuel tank behind the rear seats in the trunk so there’s no way to get through there at all. I’m glad it worked out for you though! Thanks for watching the video. You should post one that shows your technique.
I found an easier way!! There is a hidden traditional key inside your keyfob. You can remove it but sliding the little plastic tab to the side and then pulling the key out. Use this traditional key to open your trunk.
Excellent. I'm undertaking right now to open trunk on 2009 E320. Wish me luck. I hear some motor actuating, but neither trunk button inside, nor pull handle on trunk, nor key fob button will open it. Key turns lock but nothing either. I suspect some prior rear collision damage, improperly repaired. Imagine that. But other than that a great car, diesel. Love the car just need to fix this dern trunk issue. : ) Anyone chime in
You’re probably right about the previous damage. I know I’d be super upset if I was in your shoes. I don’t know much about the E320 is there any way to get in through the back seat?
@@Becker3k : I don't know about the back seats. Had to put the project down from last weekend. Thank goodness its not my sole vehicle right now. I may try to drill up through the tag cover that you pulled off. Drill up just enough to expose those bolts? Well, no that prob won't do any good. More cover I'm sure around the lock piece that needs to be moved.
HAHA! Cracks me up..you’re smart enough, figuring how to bypass the key lock mechanism ,but not to remove the lic. plate shroud off the trunk deck. Patience my guy..don’t force sh!T.
Dude, you right haha. But, in my defense, It was stuck at the golf course parking lot for like 3 days because no one could get in that bitch and I was kind of at my wits end.
