My sister got into Stanford , I personally don't care to go to Stanford.... SO besides all the perquisite stats and numbers, extracurriculars, she approached the whole thing HOLISTICALLY, as told by her college consultant who is an alumni of Stanford ... She was specifically told NOT to have this "Stanford or Bust" mentality...Rather just do your best at and with the thing you can actually care about and take very seriously ...At the end she kept her options open and flexible , was accepted to handful of IVYs, and other top tier UNIs, compared and went with Stanford ONLY because it fit her the best AND not because it was the "best" school or DREAM school to go to

Thank you currently i am going into 6th grade and really want to get into Stanford because that it has the strongest psychology program. I really like psychology and am planning to practice doing some of these things in middle school when i start. Because middle school is the best practice round out there. So this really helped. (Please mind my grammar I’m not trying.)

I’m in 8th grade but I really want to go to Stanford. I hear they have an AMAZING medical program!!! It’s been my dream to go into medical since I was a kid :). My grandma and mom are both in the medical field.

I’m still nowhere near this function, as I’m just a sixth-grader, but the whole process amazes me. I can’t wait to apply.

The official main entrance is Palm Drive of of El Camino, but the more common way to get in is Galvez Street, across from Town and Country Village.

I’m in 8th grade and watching this video makes me realise just how much of a long way I have to go Watching this will just make me quit everything and start studying (Obviously easier said than done)

Guys do NOT do 10 practice SAT/ACT tests in 10 days. Your performance will tank after day 4 or so. Space out this practice so that you have a few days of rest between practice tests

As a singaporean, it is way harder to get into schools in other countries than to get into schools in singapore

Hi :) Would it be possible for me to take the MCAT instead of the SAT or ACT?

I have an A- in one of my classes and I'm quite worried as that will lower my gpa significantly right? Like even if your essays and extracirriculars are super awesome, if someone else's is also super awesome, but they have a 4.0 and I have a 3.9, they'd accept the 4.0? I'm really worried about this scenario, like if two apps are similar and mine gets rejected because its a lower gpa. ALSO the class I have A- in is honors geometry. And I want to go for a STEM (hopefully computer science) major which is really math based... will that lower my application having an A- in mathematics class?

Okayy so this is probably weird but I'm in 6th grade watching this, I really wanna go to Stanford. Sometimes though I feel like there is a lot of pressure for being at the top of my class. Both my parents graduated from MIT, so they expect a lot from me because of that. I got a B- on my math test this week and I'm really mad at my self because I'm getting distracted by watching tv instead of preparing. So I'm watching this but I still don't know why I am. Why is Stanford’s average GPA a 4.18, but pretty much everyone who gets in on RU-vid has a minimum of like 4.6. So does that mean that if you have like a 4.2, it’s realistic (just talking GPA btw, not test scores or ECS)

This only perpetuates a toxic college admissions culture. Stanford is cool and all but don’t hyperfocus your life on trying to get into one school. Enjoy your high school years and college will work itself out
