YALE IS MY DREAM and you actually presented *different* advice that I haven’t heard anyone else say. So insightful and extremely helpful to a rising junior!
I feel EXTREMELY HAPPY! Good job :)(as always) Watching your videos really boost my motivation because time to time I start to question if my SAT will be enough or not and my brain gets messy. (I haven't taken SAT yet by the way) On the other hand, I have done so many things that I love during high school years. (and I have no regrets about it) Knowing that they will be considered during admission process is just so relaxing. Thanks! Have a good day, week and -hopefully- life:)
Wow I’m into theatre too! I would love if you April’s give me advice on how to take theatre to the next level since it’s one of my favorite extracurriculars
Hey man! I just wrapped up highschool in my country and I’m thinking about going to this leadership program before applying to college. Is it a smart move? I wish I could text you directly
What's up, my friend? :) Is the leadership program just for the summer? If so, it could be helpful. DM me at @asianarnold on IG, or email me at arnold.setiadi@yale.edu! Cheers!
@@ArnoldSetiadi we live in Bpt too ! My son is applying single early action to Yale. Doing essays now (ugh) and wishing he had a zippier activities list. He attends Fairchild Wheeler high school. It’s not easy as a Bridgeport family to navigate this process 😳
Great question! Although I cannot say for certain as I'm not part of the Admissions Office, since context is a huge factor during the decision making process, I feel pretty strongly that they will consider the pandemic and the limitations and problems it has caused for everyone. What I think they WILL notice is how students were able to adapt and overcome in whatever means they can!
Hi, I had a question, and I'm an incoming freshman. So my school gave me the wrong classes, for example they gave me geometry when the highest I can take is Algebra 2. I emailed them a few times, but they still haven't changed my schedule. Would my chances of getting into an ivy league school be ruined since Im not taking the highest level classes that I can take because my school isn't letting me? This isn't just for math; this is also for my elective which is also a very low level class. Can I still get into a really good school with all of this going on in the background?
Hello Mr. Setiadi! I hope your summer has been going well. My name is Joan Li and I am currently a rising senior. I have sent a very similar email to the email you provided in the video, but I was worried that it might have been deactivated so I chose to leave a comment here. I just wanted to say that I found your videos really helpful during this process, especially because my mom attended college in China so we are largely unaware of the admissions process in America. I would really appreciate it if I could receive a copy of your Common Application because I am struggling with writing my essays and even between applying through Questbridge or not. I am a Prep Scholar, so I think I can make it finalist, but as you mentioned in the video, I know that my income is low enough to receive a full ride at the universities that I would rank. My only concern is gaining admission. Thank you so much for making these amazing videos and providing your insight. Best regards, Joan Li
