Obviously Passing the CPA exams is when you study hard,if you can't study or you don't have time for your studies I'd advise you get yourself a help like Mr Dylan
Great video. Thank you for showing this to us. I have a question on the education record form. There is a section for "Profession" what did you put there? accountant?
Thank you again your response on the below. Had an additional question regarding the status of the license. Besides sending an email to the NYSED, is there any other way to check the status of my application? How did you find out that you were missing one of your forms? Lastly, do you think it actually matters if you email them prior to the 6 week wait period they recommend?
Hey! I think you can only find out by emailing unfortunately. It’s not the most modern system. I don’t think it matters but they might tell you to just wait that it’s in review. You won’t get penalized though so nothing to lose!
Insanely helpful video, thank you so much for putting this together. Not too sure if you would know the answer to this but wanted to ask if I am able to send documents early (mid November)? I will finish my 150credit requirement next month (end of December) and I want to send the transcript for that one school as the very last item. Due to potential promotion this upcoming spring, I need to get this license back ASAP (no later than April 1)
I would say you definitely can. I actually submitted all my paperwork and they came back saying I was missing education proof and I had to go back and send it. You could begin filling out and sending the other paperwork and send the last transcript in December. After they get everything it should take around 6 weeks
Great vid! Just wondering how long did it take you to get your license from the time you sent in your application? I've been researching all over the internet and people's experiences can range from 4-6 weeks like in your video to even months lol
Thanks for video! Are you sure the "Educational Record Form" is required? Surely they would have listed it as a required document on the website if it was required? Additionally, it seems like that information is already conveyed on form 2. Let me know what you think. Thanks.
I agree… it’s not the most organized process from my experience. Unfortunately it is. I actually had the process delayed for a little because I did not submit it
Hello, I have a question about work experience. If the supervisor is NJ CPA, can he sign off if he works in NY all the time? The form instruction says If the state of supervisor's principal place of business and the state of licensure are different, he must being lawfully practicing in the state of his principal place of business during the time attested. So is your supervisor NY CPA or another state CPA? Thanks
Great question. I actually found out 6 weeks after I submitted everything because they got back to me saying it was missing. I don't think they specifically mentioned it in the website but I could be wrong. I would just submit it just in case. Glad it was helpful!
@@talk2see Hi again, and thank you. Is it strange that the Education form lists primary/elementary school (grades 1-5) and then asks for high school (grades 9-12). There is no section to put in middle school (grades 6-8). Am I looking at this correctly? Also no extra space if we transferred in any of the schools prior to college. Can you tell me what you ended up doing for it? Thanks again you are a great resource!
One of the requirements was 150 credits, does that mean you need a completed bachelors? or can an associates + classes from different schools fulfill that requirement, or is a completed degree even required at all
Hi! I have a question on Form 2. How did you attach form 2 to your Boston college transcript? Did you request registrar for sending both directly to NYSED? I am so confused.
Hey man! I emailed the registrar and they filled out the form and sent it back to me. I then attached it with the transcript (there’s an option when you request it) and sent it directly to the NYC office. Hope that helps
Hello 👋 I have a question I am an International Student planning to take the US CPA what is the requirement to study first or can we proceed to review the four subjects that are required after passing all four subjects before becoming a US CPA?
You need 150 credits (not sure the equivalent in your country) and each state has a specific requirement in terms of business/accounting credits. I would search up the specific requirements for your jurisdiction
my master degree is from US school but bachelor degree is from non english country. wondering if i can just submit official transcript from US school. if that will be sufficient since it is Licensure Qualifying Registered Program. Anybody has the same problem?
@@talk2see if I pass all 4 parts within 18 months but I won’t have the 1 year work experience after 18 months period is over, do I have to retake all 4 parts?
