I am currently going for nursing and took three anatomy classes and learned a lot about the human body (fun class). And I always loved watching videos about how to grow and keep my hair healthy. One day during class my instructor told us that water is something that hydrates ones body and that it's not a miracle worker for your hair as many articles say without backing it up with science. So from what I learned is that it's good to always stay hydrated for good health.

I also gave up heat a year and a half ago, which was around the time I cut my hair shoulder length due to lots of damage (I bleached my hair seven times in the course of two months because I wanted white hair) Even with chemically damaged hair from color and bleach, taking away heat allowed me to grow all my hair back I cut off, which was from just below my shoulder and is now past my chest. Now I also love my natural hair so it's just a win all around not using heat.

There are def other alternatives from eggs, and it is tough to apply, however, coconut oil, rosemary essential oils, and castor oil are all known to thicken/grow hair

i infuse rosemary herbs in my coconut oil and took out the rosemary after 2 weeks, just for general detangling and inversion method use. because i cant afford the essential oils so i just use the herbs

I used to think I couldn't live with out my straightener because I used to straighten my hair every day, but now I only use heat on my hair 2 times max in a month and if theirs a party or wedding or any special event I have to go to I straighten my hair for that, but other wise I use mine 2 times max a month and it really helped my hair grow a lot longer and my hair has gotten so much more healthy since I stopped using heat everyday.

Please help. My hair has always been my pride and joy. I figured since it is pretty damn healthy, it could deal with some bleach damage. And I figured the master stylist who did all the color-corrections would know how much would be too much. I was wrong, and now I want to burst into tears every time I look at my hair or touch it. I just don't know what to do. my hair has also NEVER been shorter than this and it breaks and falls out. What should i do to regrow hair?

Love your video! :) I used to curl my hair with a curling iron way too often.. My hair would be so damaged I would feel shitty without it! It really is a vicious cycle and having gone through the "ugly phase" feels so goooddd! ;) It's just not worth it. I had to get my hair cut to right below my shoulders and now it's already so much longer! I can't wait for it to grow more :). Do you happen to know about Cassia/colorless Henna as a mask treatment?

Hahaha! YES, the "ugly phase" no one likes to go through that especially after quitting the iron (I feel you girl)! And giving up heat is worth it because while everyone else is spending 20+ minutes straightening/curling their hair, we don't need to! ;) And whats the Cassia/colorless Henna? I'm already so curious :D

Camelia Katoozian Haha right! :) Cassia Obovata I think it's called! They also call it neutral henna but it's not really henna I believe. A friend of mine gave me a little bag of green powder which she said would be a great treatment for my hair! It gets a little messy but I felt my hair really looked and felt thicker and softer! So I'm not really sure how it works and if it's really good to use, hence my question to you! :) I'm trying to go the natural route with all of my products, but my natural conditioner doesn't really seem to do anything, so I'd love to find things to help my hair while living more healthy! Tiny bit of coconut oil on the ends of my hair is nice too! :) Maybe try out the Cassia sometime! It really won't affect your hair color since any potential color ffects would be minimal and only on really light hair :).

Hello! I've started to see your videos today, and I'm quite enjoying it! I already knew, and use, some of the tips! Although I dye my hair (ony pigment dyes, no amonia, and only bleach it once a year. Normally change color on the end of summer, because salt water helps to remove dye) I have very thick, strong hair. And that's kind of my problem. See, since my hair is so thick, I have to thin it out often, or else it gets to thick for me to be able to deal with it. I use argan and monoi oil often (can't stand coconut smell) but in spite of that, my hair is very dry, especially the top part. It grows well (not fast, but it is noticeable), but it's still dry af. I've done several hair masks, with eggs, honey etc but none seems to work. What do you recommend? Kisses!

Oriana Bats have you tried hair rinses?? I did a tutorial on the rosemary hair rinse but that thickens hair so maybe you would want to go for an apple cider vinegar hair rinse. Pour 4 tbsp of apple cider vinegar into a cup with 1 cup of water and after shampooing + conditioning, dip your ends into the cup and then pour the rinse over your head. Then try massaging the rinse into your scalp and after 3-5 min of doing this, rinse it off in the water. It's one of the simplest yet most effective hair rinses! You want to try this rinse every time you shower your hair! It will shine your hair, as well as hydrate the scalp, get rid of the dryness & dandruff! You'll see results within weeks! Hope this help love!! ❤️

Quit the heat... okay but im not living in a hot country. My hair wont be dry totally and my sculpt easily can get a cold if you know what i mean. If it gets i can loose my hair too. Youre sculpt has to be dry to be healthy. In other way there will be the little white things in your hair you know. How do you dry your hair to avoid it? :O

I live in washington and it rains everyday. and It's also VERY cold right now during the winter time. Just stay in doors, and give your hair an hour to two hairs to air dry naturally. And I think you are talking about dandruff being the white specs in the hair. Oil your hair a lot, and use masks to avoid dandruff.
