Ok, i did the math, through catching and sending extras to oak only while keeping 2 to send to let’s go, it would take catching 101 meltans to have enough, but if you use the berries on every catch and send the extras to oak, it will only take 58

I normally don’t leave comments, however, I had to leave a comment on this video. I cannot tell you how many videos I’ve watched about how to unlock his character. Somewhere OK, and somewhere very overly dramatic. This is definitely the best one, because it gives you all the information. I didn’t even realize you can open the box multiple times. Ugh I wish it didn't have to be this way, I can't leave the house with Pokémon go because I don't have cell data, plus it is freezing cold and I have no pokestop near me so I have no poke balls, maybe I will go to the mall or somewhere with wifi :(
Nah I got both but pikachu is my “main” game and eevee is my backup so to speak. I like pikachu way more but look forward to playing thru with a partner eevee and to the unique stuff it has pikachu didn’t. (They have some moves or outfits or something unique to each.)

Just watched this, installed pokemon go, used the mystery box, catched around 7 Meltan (I was sitting for the whole 30 min) and got 2 shinies, all of that in one day, I transferred a shiny Meltan to Let's Go and I'm keeping one to evolve it into Melmetal, perfect day. (transferred the other non-shinies to the prof and I have 30 Meltan candies)
Catch 10 meltan from the box while using pinapp berries. Trade all but the best IV/CP ones for bonus candy. Shouldn’t take too long. Roughly a month maybe a little over to get him depending on how much you keep and candy you get for trading.
Carlos Hernández it’s a dead line in Pokémon GO right now but the mystery box to catch him by transfering Pokémon to let’s go it’s ultimate meltain so as long as you open the must box catching meltain never ends

Mr Swag when i change the date it sits at 0 days left, when I then transfer another pokemon it doesn‘t change anything. Could u maybe further elaborate ^^
It seems you don't get it. You need ALL 400 CANDY on a single Pokemon Go account. Making multiple accounts doesn't speedup the process unless you trade, but trading is also limited and it only helps a tiny bit
Cosmog is the first Legendary Pokémon to evolve, Meltan is the first Mythical Pokémon to evolve, Legendaries like Mewtwo and Rayquaza are Pokemon that can be caught in the games, while Mythical Pokémon like Mew and Arceus, are Pokémon that can be only obtained via event like Mystery Gift.
You can also put meltan on gyms and feed them berries for a chance at extra candy. I've been putting them on gyms instead of transferring and have managed to get more candy that way, granted it takes longer. You can also trade them I believe, and if you trade for something that was caught somewhere far away, you can get up to 3 candy for the meltan you trade away.

@@goldfish6525 bro its all about money they dont care about the games and its not nintendo its pokemon. Pokemon makes all the money from advertising and the pokemon cards so the games are not that much of a priority. Its sad but that's the case.
You can easily get lots of Melton, just when get that box which attracts Melton for 30mins when 10mins are left go to settings and change your time 15mins and go back this trick will work
PokeTips I try this with lucky egg and other things in Pokemon go and it worked but don't change your time like crazy, means that if Melton spawns have 30mins , and you change the time 40 or 50mins then it will be not work and the real time that left will also go away
This is all so cool! My only issue is that I live out in the country, and I can't walk around far, because internet. I guess I can just use this technique on the bus!
Hehehee... I have a little trick to get melmetal... Simply create many accounts on your switch, get them all to Fucha city, and connect em all to the same account for pokemon go. Then you'd be able to get many boxes, and triple the amount of meltan. Simple. Hahaha!
Requiring you to walk it 20 kilometers for a single candy takes the cake. It’s sad enough that Pokémon Go is held back by EXTREMELY stingy micro transactions. It’s even worse when they force you to play it by keeping a pokémon from your Pokédex. I don’t think anyone would mind as long as you could evolve it in the switch game. But this is ridiculous. Pokémon that require 100 candy for evolution are annoying as f*ck and they have the nerve to make this a 400 candy requirement. I didn’t pay 100 bucks for a stripped down game plus that stupid ball with the paywalled Mew just to be forced into spending even more money in Pokémon Go as well. And let’s not forget that Nintendo doesn’t have any cheap games. You know know how Sonic Forces, Sonic Mania and Spyro Reignited Trilogy were all 30 bucks on release? Pokémon Sun and Moon are still 60 bucks, 2 years after release.

Kurai D'edman are you kidding me? Do you have any idea how fast you can run out of poke balls? And they are the main resource of the game, the way you play. I would understand if it was for ultra balls but they are stingy even with the basic balls. As for mythics being paywalled, I wouldn’t know. I only finished Pokémon Sun. But I don’t remember having to buy anything for specific pokemon in that game. You can even get a second Cosmog so you can trade it or Solgaleo for Lunala. Plus just because it happened before, doesn’t make it alright. But I am still looking forward to playing this game. If my copy would arrive this century.
I'm like 2 years very late to the party. Evolved my random Meltan to Meltmetal too soon just for dex entry. Now i'm collecting 3 star Meltans picking the best ones to evolve to Melmetal soon. It does take a long while to get 400 Meltan candies.
Thanks for the vid. I know this vid was done a while ago, so maybe things have changed once I started playing. But you can send Alolan Pokémon(specifically the alolan 1st Gens) into the game. Probably it’s the only way to get the alolan shinees without doing the hard reset trick. Now the mystery box opens every two days, and there’s an event where you can get the shiny meltan from the mystery box as well. The shiny can get transferred into PoGo. I was so mad when I caught mew and saw that it couldn’t transfer.
Also if you trade with long distance pokemon you get 3 candy in trades. I went to the Czech Republic with my wife this past September. We caught a bunch of Czech crap and when I trade a Meltan to her account and she puts up a Czech Pokemon we both get 3 candy of the Pokemon we trade. Every little bit helps.
Type:Null also evolves and becomes Silvally and it's a mythical pokemon (created) but actually legendary ;) so this one's the second I think Good tutorial btw! :D
You can just catch meltan using pinap berries then when the times up you go to settings and change time or you can transfer meltan to let’s go then trade it with your friend then trade it back. Easy peasy
Seven?! I got 50 of those little buggers without even getting up? I assume they noticed how awful this process was and sped up the rate of meltan spawning and made it so the box opens every 3 days instead of in a week
There's another tip for the people who have friends who travel a lot. You can trade Meltan for 3 candy if the distance between the traded Pokemon is far enough instead of handing it in to the professor which only nets you 1.
Was just playing let's go, and I'm sure everyone knows about meltan's interactions in the power plant. We'll if you skip the red barrel interaction, and that one interaction in the back hallway where he gets mixed feelings, and be certain that he does get that spot in Zapdos' room. If you do this, it will say meltan felt tingly for a moment and then if you interact with him again, it says he is craving a large source of electricity. If anyone is out walking with Meltan and find a source of electricity he interacts with. Let me know. I'm testing a theory
I just got the game but I notice this is a very inconvenient method for alot of people some people cant or wont play pokemon go so I wanna plan on grinding for alot of meltan and Melmetals and just give them away to people
Raid event days are sooooo good for this. 12 rare candy per, then because event all gyms have the legendary raids to do for an hour, you get tons of rare candy
2 candy sources missed in this are trade candies and gym defense berry candies. You can trade one meltan away a day for up to 3 additional candies if it's been traded for a pokemon that was caught more than 100km away. If you do this meltan for meltan you will end up with 28 extra candy a week. On top of this melmetal and meltan are the only mythical pokemon you can currently place in gyms. When berrying any pokemon in a gym you have a 1 in 85 chance of getting a candy for that pokemon. With the spin limit for stops being 3500 a week and each spin giving a min of 3 items and berries constituting about 1 out 5 of all drops you will end up with 300ish berries a day so an extra 3 or 4 meltan candy a day on average. All in all pretty grindy but it almost doubles the candy you get.
