► Normally in Pokemon Lets Go Pikachu, you start with Pikachu. Normally in Pokemon Lets Go Eevee, you start with Eevee. What would happen if we changed that? Today, I'll be modifying the game with PkNX and PKHEX to allow me to start with a Mewtwo in my Pokemon Lets Go Pikachu game, and see what happens! After that, I'll also be seeing what happens if you get a normal starter, the Eevee starter, but with a twist - I'll be getting the starter Eevee in my Pokemon Lets Go Pikachu game!

I'm thinking it's actually because from that point on it needs to be able to load the custom model for your partner since you can put on outfits. Before that conversation it was using the generic model, hence the Eevee.

I just wanna point out that despite this being on let's go pikachu, it displays the recognition of eevee as "an eevee". Realistically, this would say "a eevee" based on "a pikachu" as it should be. So the game is kinda aware of the change?

Definitely can't, they very blatantly stated they used a modded switch to do this as well, but just like this under normal circumstances trading your partner is impossible

@@simpleusername1820 Except with the special moves Eevee can learn in LGE, it could wreck HOUSE with Mewtwo with the dark-type move. And you could burn it, heal yourself, lower its defenses, etc, all with one Pokemon. A wild Mewtwo's moveset is usually cruddy (Psychic and Swift most often the only good offensive moves).
