China edition is free BUT it's only for those who live in China. When you get the game it says to sing in with a Chinese account, and after doing that, it says to enter in your Chinese citizenship ID thing (whatever its called), making it impossible to play without moving to China

Actually Minecraft education is free on mobile devices and windows, all you need is a verified school login, also classic edition is technically also a free version.
