My mom doesn't care, but that's how I wear crop tops. A crop top with low waist bottoms, only few people can pull that off. And those type of clothes are not looking good in my body 😂
Huh, i come from a religious background am still religious…neither one of my parents are funny with crop tops or anything. Guess it may be your age tho…easiest way I can think of…it’s wearing high waisted jeans or shorts then putting a crop top on….because of the fact the pants are high waisted most crop tops unless your planning on getting bra sized ones will come to the button of the pants making it not look very short…then if they agree to get it, just wear whatever jeans or shorts or skirts you want.
I was a teen in the Selena, Miley, Demi era and parents bought tops like this with less questions, because they knew we were going to layer it with another top underneath.
I had the opposite experience 😭. Was never allowed to get them even if I planned to layer it, yet now that my little sis wants them, she can. My parents go well it's the fashion now... like it wasn't then. 😂 And like at least it was more modest, too, then.
This makes me glad that my mom had no problems with me wearing them when I was a teenager in the 90s. She actually would pick out some cute ones for me when we went shopping lol.
my mom never makes a big deal if i wanna wear something new (like crop tops or whatever) she lets me wear whatever i feel comfortable in and it’s been that way ever since i was old enough to choose my own clothes :)
i have itt, its kinda see through but its so comfy with a gray zipup jacket and some shorts, if you see it get it its so worth it, it could be for bed going out travel top etcc!!
After watching several of these videos over time…. It definitely shows that if you are a parent, that is wicked strict, it just gives your kids the opportunity to learn how to be extremely sneaky
Anytime I try anything on my mom feels it and tugs it to make sure it fits and makes me do a circle lmao she would see the other shirt she would also make me take the hoodie off and just see the shirt 😂
When the salesperson sees you hide that they’re going to think you stole it - plus, they count items when you use the dressing rooms - this is going to get kids in much bigger trouble with their parents
My momma always made me dress modest as she didnt want me looking like a slut, but now I'm of age she doesnt care what I wear. I'll wear a crop top, but only with high waisted jeans. I dont like feeling as if im showing too much skin 😂

OR you could have an informed conversation with your parent and show them examples of what you want to look like and the social pressure you are under to fit in and how you want to appease that while also exploring your own identity and asking their concerns about how you dress your body. I know that it seems hard as fuck but believe me do it enough times and they will feel comfortable and you will start feeling more comfortable with them. Just make sure to stay calm and on message the whole time even though they might walk away and say no is no or any other parent bs. Just always calmly direct back to the subject that you would like to discuss and express that it is very important to get to the bottom of this. It’s not about a crop top, it’s about you feeling comfortable exploring your individuality.
This isn't a bad way to go about it but I think you should also express that you want to understand your parent's perspective. 95% of the time they're not saying no out of malice or a need to control. It's to protect their child from harm. Adults know how sick the world can be and they don't want their children to be subjected to that. Even if their kids don't get that and it makes them the "bad guy" it's better than their child getting hurt. Also you can't expect them to hear you out if you're not willing to do the same
I live in a town that likes to dress children in inappropriate clothing and call it cute. I’m talking putting a six year old in a deep V-neck crop top that basically is just a band with super low rise. Stretchy shorts that show the cheek. Parents send their children to school dressed like this and then get mad because they have to come and bring different clothing to the school to get the child into dress code. Business has dress codes. Why is it parents think they do not have to follow the dress code just because their student is in middle school or high school?
It is not STRICT to encourage your kids to dress modestly. You kids will understand when you're parents. You'd do anything to protect your children from predators. Even "control" what they wear. It isn't about being strict. It's about protecting your children from disgusting people.

Girl, I work in a middle school and some of these little girls run around in shorts shorter than my panties. I saw a teacher in a skirt that would have been appropriate, about midway to the knee, but she was bending over and i literally saw her underwear 3x. This culture will claim that we are the problem for looking but there's a time and a place to slut it up and that's not at school at the age of under 18.
My mom is kinda strict with what I wear but she let me wear crop tops (pushed it on me even) as long as they were a bit longer. Also that cherry top is so cute omgggg
As a mom of an 11 year old who tries to constantly show far too much, it’s time to appreciate your mothers for covering you up! Too many perverts these days to allow your young daughter to walk around with everything out. Not to mention MORALS, covering up is a form is self respect!
As a mother to a now 18 year old woman, I disagree with you 100%. Teaching young woman that somehow it’s their responsibility to cover their body out of “modesty” or fear of perverts is putting the burden on the wrong person.

If you were to go to a homeless area waving £20 notes and something happened, yes its not your fault. But again, you were asking for it. And anyway, if a boy wore revealing clothes like this in front of girls he’d be arrested and charged. And if something happened to him the girl would get away scot free. I agree that its not fair to fear being raped and sexualised in public. But if you choose to sexualise yourself like this don’t complain.
Omg I’ve done this with my volleyball shorts before🤣 they were pretty short so when I came out of the dressing room I pulled they down farther so that my dad would let me get them
I never relate to any of these videos cause my parents were really relaxed but I still watch lol wonder what I would of turned out like If they were. I feel like kids act out more when they have strict parents
My mom just tells me to wear tank tops underneath (even tho i already wear high waisted jeans that cover my stomach cause of my ridiculously short torso-) so i just buy tank tops that match my skin tone best i can
You could have fun with the tank top colors, though! If the crop top has a pattern, choose a color from it for the tank top. If the crop top is a solid color, you can choose a tank that complements it. And of course, jackets are the ultimate accessory.
