Some prefer to flex on the ‘gram, but we rather flex our sniper rods🎯. With the stick technology provided today, the stick does A LOT of the work for us, but we have to allow it to do that.
Here are the 🔑’s to get proper flex on your stick that transfers into the shot.
Top hand separation from the body / Flat forearm / downward tilt in wrist
Bottom hand palm pressing into the shaft then towards target 🏒⬇️↘️➡️🥅
Staying in your athletic stance 🏋️ and not rising upright🧍when your shoot.
BUYING a stick that you can flex naturally without putting all of your body weight into it.
❌ A common mistake for players is to worry more about lifting the puck then getting power 💥 behind their shot.
✅ With more practice and feel for the puck you will learn how to raise the puck. TRUST US you will. Until then start with understanding and executing the proper stance, pressing off the back foot, and upper body movements to get off a harder shot.
🤷♂️ Some may ask, what do I do if I can’t flex my stick?
💡 Buy a new one that you can flex. Even if it is a grade or two of three from the top model. If you can’t engage the stick flex then you’re wasting money and sacrificing your shooting mechanics.
