Note: on older CPUs you may still be bottlenecking, limiting your FPS. For that, there’s nothing you can really do but make sure you’re CPU is running at its maximum turbo. CPU bottlenecks don’t always mean you’ll see 100% utilization either, so just keep that in mind. On my Intel i5-8300h (8th gen mobile processor since I play on a laptop) the highest FPS I can get is probably around 80 to 90 with nothing going on, but throw in some traffic vehicles and it quickly drops to 30. In that case, feel free to crank up the graphics settings
@@AlyMorsy-b2f i mean that comment was a year ago and beam has made a lot of updates in the last year and the game just benchmarks how many it should put on the map when you spawn traffic using the radial menu
-High instead of Ultra -Dynamic Reflection off -Grass density to 0.2 or so Makes a huge difference for me like from 80 to 100 fps. Tried the experimental and buggy Vulkan API too. Game runs better overall and frametimes are more stable while vram and GPU usage is higher than Dx11 but holy shit it has some really weird issues. Dx11 is a suboptimal API anyways its outdated since 2016 and modern GPUs are optimized for DX12 and Vulkan because that's the way to go forward. They need to either need to make Vulkan good enough for it to the the default API the game runs on or change the game to DX12 which is likely to not be possible at all.
For some reason when I launch the game through the MP launcher my fps is super high like where it should be, but through the regular launcher it barely makes 30 on all low

i have beamng but i have i5 2300 so the menu is so laggy but i can still play the game only if theres like 1 or 2 cars on the map at the same time Thanks this helped
that means your cpu is weak and increasing the settings lowers the load on the cpu and highers the load on the gpu. its so nice to actually know this - ive been researching this for the past week cause my cpu is dying on me. Hope this helps
If you have a good cpu but bad GPU \ gpu bottleneck don't do this because it uses more GPU. With my PC with a bad GPU but good cpu ( GTX 750 Ti) it cuts my fps in half and artifacts appear and this is without overclocking so there shouldn't be any artifacts
bro i got so bad pc that if my lightning quality is on lowest my pc runs beamng in about 30fps but when i change it to low or normal it is about 2-3fps and i got bluescreen...
I've got a 8th gen i5, 16gb ram and RTX2060, game runs 60fps with no drops on max settings until you spawn cars. The limit is 3 before noticeable FPS drops
On west coast I get an average of 49 fps. I lower the graphics settings and no fps increase. The gams takes 3 minutes to load the map and to change the graphics settings. Rtx 3070 Ryzen 7 3700x 32 gb ddr4 3200mhz The game is installed on a SSD nvme
@@LeGamerXtremeSoldam that nearly sounds impossible... you may have to check out if some component is being bottlenecked or if you have a virus, because I'm getting double you FPS with worse components

How is there no video on how to optimize (NOT FPS) but how to like run the game without it overheating i have 60 fps all the way but my pc will overheat after a certain time like 4 minutes
Well it's quite a bit more difficult to do that, because everyone has different PSs and specs. Usually it's best to lower the graphics and put an FPS limiter on to prevent overheating :)
I tried these specs but i have a lower end laptop so my fps went down sadly Specs are Cpu: amd ryzen 3 3250u Gpu:amd raedon (tm) graphics (d3d11)2033 mb vram Ram: 14gb Os: windows 11 64 bit and only 5 mods so idk its just laggy

kinda don't understand beamng. cause my specs are Nvidia geforce gtx 1650 ti, i5 10th gen 10300h, 8gb ram but still doesn't work on at least normal preset.
If you go in the settings and then display you can turn off limit frame rate I found that increased my frame rate significantly and also allowed me to use higher quality looks. However, when you play with AI, you have to lower down your graphics significantly
AnyBody Know why or how i can play Beamng with a smooth frame rate. On AMD Radeon 590 GME 8GB when i can run everything fine for multiple games it said it ran 99.9% games in 2023. I mean it had amazing fps and Graphics on MAFIA DEFINITIVE EDITION and ran Dead Rising 3 With all the zombies and props fine. (The Reason i ask this is that someone said that BeamNG Drive doesn't run to good on AMD.
Hey I have a gaming laptop from 2021 with the new graphics but, I can't have more than 3 ai cars without lag, my specs are: 8 ram Intel core i5 9th gen, Graphics card Nvidia gtx 1650ti. My normal fps with high settings are 30-40-50-60 fps, can you give me an explanation plz 😿 btw I have a pirated ver. Cuz I live in a country where the game cost like 40 dollars and my parents would never leave buy a game
this game is really CPU intensive. i play it on a desktop w/ a similar cpu, and it works good enough. the game recommends at least an i7 tho if you want good framerates with multiple vehicles.
This game is a cpu killer 😀 Probabily the problem is a old cpu. I use same video card on two pc but on my old I3 is lagging. Check ram too need at least 16 gb for run correctly
Go to maps without a lot of stuff on west coast usa i get like 22 fps average with lowest graphics but i get 130 average on grid map with lowest graphics but i get 30 fps average with ultra graphics about same for the cliff map
i did all my settings at maximum and still 15 fps my laptop is some old piece of shit i want to get rid of it and buy a better one buy i dont have the cash for it
Just download 0.22 version without new graphics and Ull got muuuch more fps guys. I have around 40 in new version in the city and I have around 80 in old bversion
