Few observations after watching till the end: 1. Sindh govt incompetency is clearly evident. 2. Next time, have a more confident body language. Dont get too much intimidated by govt offices. I also moved back from abroad several years ago and had following things made from govt offices without any reference or parents accompanying: -My first CNIC -My first driving license -Second driving license (renewal) -My third passport renewal -Paid two traffic police chalans through national bank -Had some documents attested from Notary Public and in all these experiences, I have never felt that I am being scammed. Keep in mind, all this experience is in pindi (Punjab govt). Sure, in some places there were a bit of mismanagement and that too was mainly coz of our jahil awam like not standing in line, like in 14:05. 3. Ask even the slightest query on spot. As you mentioned in the end that in NADRA, the officer didn't specified some things. Don't get intimidated by the crowd. ALL govt offices will be crowded. We are an over populated country. 4. Always keep at least 5 photocopies of your CNIC in your wallet. 5. Again, just have a confident body language. Govt officials deals with so much public on a daily basis that they can sense nervousness in seconds. Personal experience: -My first driving license experience was a bit troublesome coz it was using old system and it took alot of time and multiple counter visits but they updated everything few years ago and when I went for renewal last year, it took only 15 minutes. -I was stopped by traffic police after a breaking a signal in pindi. I immediately accepted my mistake and the warden was so polite and respectful. Problem with our general public is that instead of accepting and owning our mistake, we tend get aggressive which annoys the duty officer the most. -I was driving my father's car which was unregistered, I was stopped and asked why is the car unregistered, I calmly and confidently explained everything and showed all the documents and within no time, they let me go without any extra hassle.
Hi Owais! I can speak about my experience with NADRA mega center (Blue Area). I think you should definitely reach out to them on Twitter with these suggestions (perhaps share the video link). Their senior officials are extremely helpful and responsive. I am sure they will appreciate the feedback (updating the website etc). We had an issue a few months ago and they didn't just help us but also addressed the root cause which was very reassuring. The new chairman (Tariq Malik) worked with UNDP and is in favor of digitization. On a side note, I renewed my CNIC using their online portal without visiting any office and had it delivered to my home. I wish they would also digitize the CRC but not sure if there are any legal requirements that prevents it. Anyways, keep up the great work :)
I think you are doing Great Great service to all. Especially those of us who have lived abroad and find it very difficult if a local officer asks for money or charges. Locals just give as Haram concept is being deleted from the society. Which is really Sad. As we as a Nation are very Beautiful People. Keep it up 👍👍👍

Bcoz Same happened with me at Karachi Civic Centre for registration of my new car. And here the AGENT MAFIA at such places is soo strong that you're helpless. I didn't take the agent services and did it myself or mujh ko lohay kay chanay chubwa diya thay by the officers sitting there, whereas the process is very simple and straightforward. But no one wants to and appreciate you for this until and unless you go through the agent and pay them 12000PKR fees(RIShWAT) or plus depending on your car, plus with registration fees of your car. In Karachi ESP IN SINDH yahan ka ALLAH HI HAFIZ OO NASIR HAI.
Really really appreciate your recent drive with documenting such experiences in Govt offices, and pointing out the problems and corruption. I’ll be tweeting this to Nadra and Sindh authorities, that’s the least that I can do. For this particular video, I would request you to edit the video title and/or thumbnail. It signals that the corruption was at Nadra’s end (which wasn’t the case) so that’s misleading (not that I’m claiming Nadra would be corruption free). I would also request you to formally forward your complaints to the relevant officials, just for documentation purposes, if nothing else (to see their response).
Oh you were in Karachi - Lahore @ NADRA e-Khidmat marakiz it’s excellent I have my family address changed only issue was token and the time but procedure was seamlessly pleasant.

The awful thing is that Nadra is miles ahead of other government departments. So we can imagine what a mess others must be. Also, the major problem is that acts/ legislation of government tentacles is drafted by those govt organisation themselves and they get approved in legislature without any thorough scrutiny (we all know caliber of our MNA's/ MPA's). When laws are drafted by the ones who are gonna be held accountable, there is absolutely no mention of service standards to help protect themselves instead of citizens. Consequently, courts can't do much because there is no mention of accountability (even if you muster courage to go that route). The aim of law is to protect the weak not the organizations.
Usually I don’t watch videos like this from Pakistan cause there are lots ills in everything (it is personally difficult for me ) and folks who make theses videos usually start acting likes judges and jury. Yours I knew would be different none the less it was excruciating to watch your experience. Keep up the good work you doing thank you.
Reminds me of the time when I came back from US long ago. I still can't understand why they need photocopy of cnic printed on both sides when it can be done on the same page like they do in US. Easy to read and understand. I used to argue a lot but somehow adjusted myself with time here.
Aoa owais bhai, I am dealing public offices for two years now after every 6 months. I think i will disagree with your solution and I will tell you why in details. Now as far the Nadra is concerned, they are managed by private org. So no govt is involved at office level and that is why you are seeing professionalism. As far the solution is concerned, even if they make all payments online there is no point because they ask for money directly. The only way to deal with it is digitization in a way that 1) no public interaction is involved with any officer. Make counters with private entities for public dealing in this way no public officer can ask money to anyone because of interaction. 2) make timeline for officers so they can't delay any file. Define panelties 3) list all the documents you need for any task and make it public online. Like at the time of admission at any university, we submit form and documents.
AOA Owais I really liked the vieo and I really like the way you had explained the whole process. Unfortunately as there are flaws in the system it is very hard to some times do things. For instance My wife's CNIC is expiring and they have a system where you can apply online for renewal but the account just doesn't login. This is not the problem with NADRA only but with every government department like HEC and more. I wish they can make the system better.
Wailkum Assalam, I think you just need to educate yourself more to get benefit from online platform. I've already got 3 ID Cards using online application portal of Nadra. Have been using this system for years now. I've tried every type of application i.e Normal, Urgent or Exceutive. I hope that helps.
In union council office, if u are registering late then late fee also charged, But in NADRA there is no corruption you only pay Rs. 50 and there is no issue. I registered for my son 3 months ago.
18:17 they were right about the wife part. I had a similar experience when I was renewing my ID card. You either attest the form from a govt officer or bring your wife along for biometric verification. But I agree, they should’ve mentioned this on their website. I would still not rate this as mix experience as the NADRA system is overall robust, quick and corruption free.
@@zaf7794 I failed to understand their logic either but this could be some kind of 2 factor authentication where your password may not be enough and a pin code sent to your phone is required.
@@khocha47 is it required in the developed and advance countries? Answer is No. what verification is required as nadra got all the data present in their system.
main raat ko 3 bjy kaey qareeb giya tha, lahore main mujhy hardly 5 minute lagy ho gaey, I was surprised, because I was only 20 year old, my ID card was lost, I go there for renewal. It was very kind experience there.
One of the thing I hate about NICOP is there foriegn country printed on card whenever I give my nicop copy i feel being insecure and being cheated. Because people think that you are overseas citizen and you have a dollars tree at your home.
I had to correct the spelled my sons name on form-B. I took my wife with me and forgot to take the original birth certificate, I had only photocopy. The NADRA lady was very knowledgeable and checked the photocopy birth certificate with the one in their system and processed the application. Same old things husband and wife fingers, photos. But I got it urgently the next day fee was Rs500. We stood in line at 6:30 am and got out at 9:45am this was Karachi mega center.
And one thing to keep in mind, this is in Islamabad. Believe me you will not want to do this process in interior Sindh (ofc if you don't have a reference).
Passport offices have same corruption and rude staff , they ask me irrelevant documents like home registry and father pensions book when I provide these documents then they ask your father I'd card adress not belong to jurisdiction you have to pay cash 25000 to make your passport in this jurisdiction. This happen to me in shekhupora passport office very bad experience. There should be reform to correct this corrupt system in govt offices

My father used to say " Pakistan ma Baap Banna Asaan ha Birth Certificate ya B-Form bnwana muskil ha " xD Even in the world of Digitization we still need to deal with Attestation , longer waits, approvals, and most importantly corrupt people.
If you renew your CNIC online. You will have to find someone who is 16 grade officer to attest your form. Better to go to NADRA office and renew it. Make sure to take your brother,.sister, father or wife so they can attest your file there with finger prints.
I didn't knew about the birth certificates' fees and the UC person charged me Rs. 3,000 for 1 year child birth cert. I was shocked when I later found out the actual fee is around 500. Sad to experience this corrupt system of Union Council.
If it would have been somewhere else in Pakistan I would have suggested you to make complaint in Pakistan citizen portal. However for Sindh government no use of because corruption from top to bottom
Bhai they are everywhere in every Department. In 2006 I paid 1000 Rs. in Union Council Office, Gulberg II, Lahore( Name of Area I would like to keep upto me). Sad reality Kia hum ney murna hai aur Allah Pak ka khouf hai. Mujhy nuzur nahi atta. Pehly ye diseas 15 to 20% thi ab 90% tuk pheel gia hai. Pakistan meen kam bhai ausy hi hoti hain. I am from Central Europe bhai, Yahan pur itni Facilities hain unbelievable. Jo Facilities humary Islam meen awam key liay hain wo subhi yahan hain. JIS DIN HUM SUB ALLAH PAK KA KHOUF APNI ZINDGI MEEN LEE AIYEEN GAYE, اُسی WAQT SEY YE SUB SAHI HO GAYE GA. OTHERWISE 70 YEARS SEY CHUL RAHA HAI AUR YE AUR BI BUDTAREEN HO GAYE GA.

In Pakistan I don't know why it is so common to have a Network down or link down whether it is bank or bank app or Nadra etc. Now people don't come and defend it in middle east I haven't seen the link is down or app is not working.

Bhai to ap isk senior ko complaint application with receiving signatures dedoo. Iski inquiry lagjaiye gi aur samjh ajaiye gi. This is much more easy than putting video on RU-vid. Because youtube they come to know ur face and makes more disturbance.
My brother I have spent like 150000 to get b form of my kids yet all for these public servents rishwat. In NADRA, union council and to lawyers. And still didn't got it
Ap ki presence ne ap k baby ko verify kia h ap ki verification (Form ki verification) k liye baby ki family m se kisi ko hona chahye jo k ap ki wife banti hain ap k ilawa... so this is the point aur 17th grade and above k officer se attest krwa sakty hain... Union Council no comments... Baldia Online App bna to d h laikn koi faida nhi no point of contact no response... braye naam App h bas...
Try the Nadra office in Karachi and you will start abusing the Nadra's System, Most centers in Karachi just take 150-200 tokens per day. You will have to reach Nadra's office before 9AM to stand in a long line, dozens of people wait in a long line and later they are sent home because Nadra Branch reached their daily token limit. My Case was not properly submitted by Nadra's Agent/Officer and my case was rejected by NADRA HEAD OFFICE, I had to resubmit the case and my updated CNIC arrived at Nadra's office(Karachi) after 45+ days instead of 21 days(URGENT).
These sarkari officer are good for nothing. This rule to get the documents or form attested by a 17 grade officer is ridiculous and illogical. World has moved towards paperless work and 100% digitalisation whereas in Pakistan documents are required to be ATTESTED.
Bhai ugur bunda khud hi corrupt ho tu iss meen kisi doosray ka koi kasur nahi. No matter PTI, Noon or PPP. Pakistan meen ye rawaj hai key system sahi karo. It's wrong, ugur bundy sahi Muslim ho gayen gay tu sub theek ho gaye ga. Hum Allah Pak ka khouf nahi mugur ilaqy key Budmasch ye SSP ka bhut khouf hoota hai.
