If you are buying online, graded is probably best. If you are in person, I rend to go for raw. Have you sent coins in for grading? How is the cost comparison?

@@Stuplubakcurrency I do buy on line . The graded coins is the one way I will buy on line . I have bought Bullion on ebay . I am very careful who I buy from .There is a lot of fakes bullion coins on line .
Great info on the site! Go for it and get some graded it’s super fun. I always figure in the educational value of having things graded as far as what the pros like Seems paper is even more expensive than getting coins graded. For the most part it’s best to let someone else take the hit on grading fees and buy them already graded
I've been looking into becoming a member of PMG. The $149 membership is the one I think I'm taking. I'm not sure when but at the moment I'm thinking of sending in about 8 U S and would notes.
If you have that many, make sure they are all the same category. At the very least check the fine print. I'm not sure if the "per submission" handling fee is per category or per shipment. Just make sure there are multiple notes for each category just to help spread the charge just in case! I will be doing a video in the future showing my experience once the world gets back to normal. I too will be doing the $149. Take care!
@@Stuplubakcurrency yes I will have to read all the fine print and go through all of what I need to do before I send them. You stay safe and take care also
I would say yes. Getting a note graded is more than just getting a professional opinion, it also includes preservation. When you consider when the note may eventually get sold (many years from now), you are guaranteed to have the note in the same condition as right now.
