My school qualifies and my teachers have said we have access to office 365 but when you have to fill out that form you i cannot recieve the verification code because the school blocks any emails from outside of the district any help with that? besides contacting the IT program at school because i can assure you no change will come of this policy.
I really want to know who thought this was a good idea. Charging for something that has always been free and the free version now is worse than the paid version. Which the free version use to be. So now in order to type my work because my teacher doesn't have the work on google docs I either have to go to the computer lab or drop 150$ or 70$. what a joke.
TO ANYONE WHO IS STRUGGLING TO GET MS OFFICE ON THE YOU PC INSTEAD OF BROWSER..... try to download and open a word/power point/ excel document online or what ever. you should be greeted with a 'welcome to office 365' pop up. from here you should see a list of options down the side saying stuff like, 'buy office' or 'enter activation code'. click on the one which asks for a code and then click on ' i already have a activated account'. you should be able to sign into you school email via a pop up for outlook. once signed in you should be able to download all the full office components for your desktop. hope this helps :)
Hi Sir, Can you make a video on different office 365 education plans (like a1, a3, a5) ? and clarify some of the doubts like 1) Whether these plans should be bought only by the administrator or students can buy on their own? 2) Which services are available for which plan ? (although it was mentioned on website, it's bit difficult to interpret) 3) Whats the difference between personal account and the account that was provided by the institution?
i tried to install it but says "You currently have not been assigned an Office license that includes the Office desktop apps. Contact your admin for more information about how to get Office for your organization. "
Bro the problem is not that just, if you are a student then let me inform you that you have also became the admin of your college's Office 365 account which has your name on the your college's office 365 account. It's really a bad thing that they didn't notify us that the college should have purchased that license before students can use it. Bad service from Microsoft
@@Uniq_videos i didnt get it. so we have to go to our student affairs office and then they will make some process like confirming the email and then we can use it? so we have to go to school?
@@berkesahan3766 well, you get ms office free only if your institution or organisation has subscription for that and of they have it then you must go to your college administration department and and get the code from them and then you can get ms office for free or the other way is that you ask them to add your email to their students on their ms office portal. But even if that doesn't work because your institution didn't have the subscription then go for online activators for your office 365.
Can you explain "You currently have not been assigned an Office license that includes the Office desktop apps. Contact your admin for more information about how to get Office for your organization. " this thing? cant we use office for free?
Hey, when I try to download, this message is being shown, "You currently have not been assigned an Office license that includes the Office desktop apps. Contact your admin for more information about how to get Office for your organization." What can I do to download office?
Hey sorry to bother but did you fix this?? I’m having the same issue, uni starts on the first of October so I’m guessing you can only download it after the academic year starts and not before??? I’m not sure
@@Agustielle Ask your university's ICS/IT/System Administration department for the licence. If and only if they provides, you can download and use office365.

Hey Kevin, whenever I login in office 365 with student account and try to install office, it doesn't show other install options due to which I cant download ms office on my desktop.

this man is GOD. I had to present my ppt next morning and after finishing my ppt when I tried to add effects and animation it was not working coz I don't have genuine MS office on my pc and my ppt doesn't had those specific functions which I needed to add animations and effects but after watching this video and installing MS office 365 I was able to edit my presentation nicely. Thanks a lot you are a Saviour
This is so confusing. Some people are getting Office 365 Enterprise Edition, some are getting Office 365 ProPlus edition after clicking that install button on their Student MS Account. Why so many editions for the same software??☹️☹️☹️
Thanks for your quick response. I have one more question? Then what will happen to your things that u've saved using that account. Like me... I saved notes and researches on my onedrive. And some pics and videos😁
Hi, I managed to access online Office 365 with my student email but I dont have option to download app just download software and I would like to have downloaded apps on my laptop not online ones. How to do that? Thanks
Im a college student and I didnt know my uni would actually sign an agreement with Microsoft since its a state university. I only knew it just now lol thankyou so much for this informative video, hoping to see more of these.
Thanks for the video. I recently tried a Microsoft 365 trial (1-month) and it messed up my regular basic Outlook suite because I couldn't revert back to it after the trial was up. This student option buys me time to figure out a permanent fix.
it shows like ---> You currently have not been assigned an Office license that includes the Office desktop apps. Contact your admin for more information about how to get Office for your organization.
Hey! It doesn't show the install office button on my page. It only shows you install different choices which leads to the skype installation website. Please Help.
Thanks for a very helpful video. I am planning to factory reset my laptop and I'm worried about uninstalling the Office apps and not be able to use it again. I just found out through the website that my school is eligible for all the Office apps. I didn't even know that access to the apps are covered in our tuition fees. This is such a neat way to maximize our university's resources. I'm super happy. 🌸🌸💕💕
when i try to click the install office button at 2:39 i just get the message that i didnt receive a office license even though the university should cover it
I literally just use the exchange account everywhere to log into the services. Since my unversity is private i literally have all the software you need, to the point where just the software costs more per month then the universty itself. Came here to see what i need to do to get free windows. It turns out as well you just sign in with the uni excahnge account and you are in
My Institution doesn't even give email ids to Students (they give it only for faculties). Any possibilities for registering for this without Student email id from the institution ?
I have Microsoft PowerPoint Presentation on my computer and whenever I try to open the PowerPoint it would say something like this: "PowerPoint failed to start correctly last time. Starting PowerPoint in safe mode will help you correct or isolate a startup problem in order to succesfully start the program. Some functionality may be disabled in this mode. Do you want to start PowerPoint in safe mode?". When I click " Yes" next it would say : "PowerPoint failed to launch in safe mode. Do you want to start repair?" also for that one I click "Yes" . It would always fail. I need advise: How to fix it? I have presentation coming few days and I need to prepare last pages a soon as possible.
You can only use the desktop apps when the school takes the A3 plan minimum. If A1, you can only use the website app, which is limiting the student’s accessibility to many functions in desktop app that are not in website app. So how do we solve this to get the desktop app?
This hasnt helped me at all. You skipped the part im stuck on. So i typed my daughters school email address in, got the verification code. Then it asked if i'm a student or teacher so i clicked student. Again i got another verification code which i entered. Then it confirmed i had an account and asked me to log in using my email and password. At no point was i asked to set up a password. So i clicked on reset password and it said something about not being able to change my password and that i should contact my administrator. There is no support number i can call, only a webform for a sales enquiry. This whole process is a real headache!
I was able to set up office 365 using the school account, but the system never asked me to enter the code from the school once they verified my email, it jumped to the section where I quickly downloaded office. I was able to set up Outlook with All Categories color flags; which I was never able to do with the paid subscription. I still have the 99 paid subscription of office 365 family, which I wont renew anymore.
I didn't even have the desktop version... So instead, I only have the web version which is literally the same thing as a free account which anyone can create
Hi. When i log into any of the apps, it tells me to sign in and when i do (on excel) the "option" bar on the left side becomes fade/ unavailable and does not allow me to open a blank workbook
The problem is that my university has licences only for online "apps". Using libre office or open office is a terrible option same as online word etc... Make free desktop licences for students and they will be buying 365 after graduation cuz MC office is the best platform for writing documents, presentations, etc.
I've registered with an educational email, but i can't download the desktop version ! i've get only the free Office 365 A1 for students, nothing premium !!! please help me ?
Martin Kollarovic Well Office 365 for education and G Suite for Education is completely free for schools and gives them an unlimited amount of email addresses. You could ask your school to get it.
when I logged in my browser in the Microsoft office education , he confirmed my e-mail from the school, but when I installed it and logged in, he told me that the package was not activated PS sorry for the bad english
Thank You Soo Much I had a school project on PowerPoint and I didn't Have PowerPoint and I googled it and got your video, I will surely recommend this to my friends
Thanks for the GREAT info. I advise schools on how to utilise tech for student with dyslexia. I love the Learning Tools functionality and promote it a LOT. Many of my students and teachers I work with have Office 2016 or older and therefore cannot use them. I advise them to use speak selected text and Word online. Word online immersive reader is great for reading but not great for creating and editing students ownwork. I had no idea students and teachers could get the intstalled version free. Personally I have paid 365 account. Yes lovely shop I was watching a Microsoft training video on Office Lens that said anyone in education could get it for free. I then started dto research how and that is how I found your helpful videos. When I followed the link you provided it is clear that schools have to be enrolled in the scheme. When I click down onto this I saw a pricing page. From what I see the A1 option is only for online versions. Which appears to contradict the information in your video and on the previous Microsoft video I've watched. Please, please, please advise as I am currently creating videos about Microsoft learning tools and immersion readers for my students I want to give them correct information. If I tell busy teachers they can get Microsoft office 365 for free and they spend time trying to do so unsuccessfully I will be very unpopular. Many thanks for your help.
Thanks for the note! Yes, schools need to enroll in A3 or A5 for students to get access to the desktop apps. With an A1 subscription, students and teachers get access to the online apps for free. Hope that helps!
I cannot dowload office to use it offline on my computer. There is no option to dowload it. My suscription is Office 365 A1 for students. How can i do?
I think that's no more available and it gives access only on web MS office apps. I did it on mine some years before, I did it on my sister's some months before and is ok. Now I was trying to do it on my brother's and I can't. MIcrosoft now calls it "Office 365 A3" and it demands 2,5€ a month.if you want the desktop apps. Or else you go on the web apps for free that is called "Office 365 A1"
when i hit install office, it takes me to portal.office.com/account#installs, but the only download avaible is Skype for Bussiness... how do i proceed from here? whats wrong?
I need help. I sign in and i get everything but, when I would go into Word, it would say (Product Activation Failed) I need this to work because I have an assignment due this Sunday sadly.
