what I learned : when you are stressed your body experiences a kind of fear and anxiety . when the level of adrenaline of your body augments all the energy go to your feet and your hands. To release that energy you just gotta move around.

@@luna7929 The pressure of others in class listening to you reading can have this stress effect. Try to practice reading at home (alone) and then do this to a small group of people you know and trust. So you build it up. This may help to read with more ease in class or other situations

Something I learned from this video is that when public speaking you mainly have to control your hands and feet. I also learned that once you tell your mind you could do it, then everything else is taken care of. Lastly I learned that you just have to keep your body from moving too much.

I have done several things in my life that others would think are high stress, but by FAR, the most stressful position with I was ever in, was with around 15 people in a small board room a few weeks ago and I literally could not speak. I froze. I asked to excuse myself but i feel like everyone will now think less of me. I hate myself now. I am employed as a sales person for a high value item (that many people think would be a good job) but I will have to leave my job because I cant deal with this shit. and they want another presentation in a couple of months. I feel like I genuinely have two options - back out and live a little longer (maybe) or push on and definitely become someone I truly hate.

Someone told me to look at the wall behind the audience, or if it's outside, then I should look at the wind or just imagine I'm talking to what's far behind the audience. By ignoring the audience's eyes, I always feel less stressed😅. But it’s still difficult sometimes. Anyway, thanks for the video. I try to use this method.
@ExpertEnglish
@ExpertEnglish Год назад
That's actually something that doesn't work. The people in the audience notice when you are avoiding eye contact. In fact let go of the idea that making eye contact gives you more stress. The opposite is true. Maybe looking into the eyes of others you make a true and deep connection, which makes you feel more relaxed. I agree it's not easy, but practice will get you there.

From this video I learned that when doing public speaking, you should tell your self, “dont run and don’t fight”. When get nervous our energy gos to our feet and hands in correlating to our flight or fight reponse. You can simply try shaking your hands and walking around to calm your self down.

What I learned: The body experiences anxiety when public speaking or in front of an audience. Try to relax your limbs, like your legs by walking around the stage or shake your hands. Lastly, you must control your breathing.
@CatherineGonzalez013
@CatherineGonzalez013 Месяц назад
This says that you need to take control of your hands, feet, and breathing. While also that it is okay to do a little moving during presentations. It is quite simple yet inspirational. So much so that I shall practice these techniques.

I’ve learned that your body has a basic instinct of adrenaline that gets higher when speaking in public. The energy goes to your hands and feet because your body is preparing to flee and/or fight. Walking around and moving your hands during or before a presentation can help this desire to run away lessen.

If there was something I learned in the video, then it would have to be how I can be comfortable when public speaking. If I were to be stressed when I am speaking, I should move around to lower the stress so that I can feel comfortable in the environment. All in all, that is what I have learned from the video.

I wish I watched this video the day before the individual speech about bullying. It's just terrible and I still can't get it out of my head. Midway through my speech, I remembered that eye contact is a necessary criteria, so I immediately did exactly that. However, when my teacher cut my speech and I got back to my seat, my friends told me was about to cry and the memorizing that I did minutes before that (the speech is urgent, fuck my teacher) was all count for naught. Thanks for the video, but I think I won't be doing any kind of public speaking EVER!

What I have learned: Presentations often cause a sense a fear to course through the human body; causing movement in different limbs like hands and feet. Simple steps to ease the stress include calming the mind and exorcising appendages beforehand. This eases the body and you let yourself know that you are okay and that in turn aids the presentation.

i learned from this video that sometimes the body can intstinctually create anxiety in you. We have to understand how to release stress physically so that we can free ourselves mentally. Stress is often a product of our bodies feeling trapped or in danger

3 things I’ve learned: 1. Your body develops a fight or flight response when it is anxious 2. You have to communicate to your body to not run away by using specific body language 3. Essentially you have to control your breathing, feet, and hands in order to concentrate on your speaking and moving away from that anxiety

@ExpertEnglish

There's no miracle solution, but that doesn't mean you can't be helped. But I would need more details to how when and where it happens and how frequent/intense it is. Have you tried seeing a speech therapist?
@successmindsetbyurban
@successmindsetbyurban 5 месяцев назад
I used to stutter myself. It was really bad and humiliating. My entire childhood was a nightmare because of this. This is why I became a hypnotherapist. Would you consider hypnotherapy, which is the most elegant, effective and gentle type of therapy I have ever experienced, hence ultimately studied and now offer.

1. When you feel anxious, your body triggers a fight or flight response. 2. To counter this response, you must project your body through specific body language so there’s no need to flee. 3. By mastering control over your breathing, feet, and hands, you can better focus on speaking and reduce the impact of anxiety.

What i learned in this video is about being comfortable while presenting or communicating. The breathing and the moving of body are important. You have to be able to control your breathing so you can relaxed while giving your speech. Also, moving your hands is a great way to signal your body into saying i don’t need adrenaline in my hands and that you can be relaxed!

In this video, I’ve learned that the body sends a feeling to hide when speaking aloud to others. However, don’t lean into it, be open to sharing your thoughts and express yourself in a respective manner, of course. In order to communicate, you have to dwell on being scared and think highly of yourself. Voice your opinion, no matter how people feel.
